juniperb | Viagra has always presented a dichotomy for me. I see it`s purpose for men in a relationship but rapists and letchers have the edge when using it. Yet does the limiting of viagra, based on a personal reflection of the anti-abortion bills, really show equality or have a valid basis ? Third female lawmaker introduces bill to limit men’s Viagra access: Democratic Ohio state Sen. Nina Turner is the third female lawmaker to introduce a bill that would limit men's access to Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs to make a statement about the dozens of anti-abortion bills that have passed statehouses around the country over the last year. Turner is opposed to a proposed bill that would prohibit abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected, which can happen as early as six weeks into a pregnancy. The Dayton Daily News reports that Turner's bill would mandate that men seeking Viagra be "tested for heart problems, receive counseling about possible side effects and receive information about 'pursuing celibacy as a viable lifestyle choice.'" http://tinyurl.com/6nqzz2l ------------------ Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. ~Rumi~ |
Stawr | Hmm...well if men want to get in the mood, but their Viagra is limited they can always go the homeopathic route and eat oysters or something. lol |
Lexxigramer | Not going into my personal experiences advising many men on the issue of the inability to achieve or maintain erections. The advice I have given to many men for decades, and with rare exception, as long as they followed the advice, it worked! 1. Masturbate EVERY day, whether you are having or trying to have sexual relations or not. 2. Masturbate every day whether erection is achieved or not. Yes, orgasm and ejaculation can happen without an erection. The key here is to feel good, and "exercise" your penis with or without orgasm. As the old saying goes, "use it or lose it" 3. Watch your blood sugar if that is an issue. 4. Walk at least 15 minutes a day if you can. 5. Use various vibrators intended for men, shaft stimulation, scrotum stimulation, and stimulation including prostate massage. And no, massaging your prostate does not, nor will it mean you are gay, nor will it make you gay. A healthy prostate is very important for a man's sexual health. One note from my personal experiences. One fellow could not achieve or hold an erection due to major abdominal surgery where the scaring from the huge incision scar about an inch wide, cut deeply into the base of his penis, resulting in decreased blood flow and nerve damage. A penis stimulated several times a day, will eventually grow new blood vessels, often on the outside of the shaft of the penis and yes result in a veined look but hey, more texture! And nerves will grow/reroute in time also. After about 6 months of taking my advice, he returned to the Cleveland Clinic for a checkup on his sexual dysfunction. The doctors and case managers there were amazed and asked him what had changed, other than the fact that he could get it on up to 5 times a day! Well to cut to the chase, I received a phone call from the Cleveland Clinic. They wanted the details of my sexual dysfunction advice. PS. Adequate Zinc is also important. Oddly too, cola drinks, sugar or diet, or any caramel coloring can affect some men and cause swelling of the testes, and pain, and yes, troubles with achieving erections. Avoiding those things can reverse the problems in about 6 weeks or less. The big thing is, "exercise" your penis every day whether you want to or not. Often that will mean masturbation. "Use it or lose it" guys. ------------------ NumeroLexigrams ~I remember, therefore I am immortal ~Lexxigramer |

aquaguy91 | if men want to take viagra let them, its not hurting me or you. |
juniperb | Aquaguy, rapists use viagra so who is that hurting? No brainer ------------------ We need to listen to our own song, and share it with others, but not force it on them. Our songs are different. They should be in harmony with each other. ~ Mattie Stepanek |
PixieJane | The purpose of the bill wasn't to stop rapists (and I think it would have minimal impact even if passed, save maybe prison rape), it was an (futile) attempt to get men to empathize with women who don't like having their sex lives and bodies legislated by hypocritical men. |

rapists are going to rape whether or not they have viagra. besides how many old men rape? because that is typically who uses viagra. besides that would be punishing all men for the crimes of a few, because the vast majority of men do not rape. |

if you want to have a debate about reproductive rights men have far less rights in that area. its not even a contest. women can lie about being on birth control and hold a man hostage with an unwanted child or she can choose to abort a baby without any sayso from the father. also despite all the leaps in medicine,we have yet to see birth control for men. i find all that very convenient. |
PixieJane | That's missing the point. And many women would love it if a man could take the pill (which sucks and sometimes has horrid side effects, from drastic mood swings to weight gain) instead. And surely you're not suggesting that the reason there isn't a birth control pill for men is because of a conspiracy of women to make men their slaves (or at least cash cows)... |
aquaguy91 | not in that specific case. but it does seem.like america has become somewhat hostile towards men. |
PixieJane | Not anywhere as Republicans have been toward women, especially in the last 3-4 years. I've even had people I talk to around the world email me asking if what they heard about the latest thing Republicans said or tried to do was real or if their media was exaggerating as it was so unbelievable to them (even in Argentina and South Africa, which is especially bad), and it was true. Sometimes I wonder if even people in Iran cringe over what our Republican politicians say publicly about women. |
aquaguy91 | well the descrimination against men is perpetuated by everyday people, alot of men even participate, its really sad. just look at the way typical families raise their sons.... they train us to treat women like the princesses they are and how to be polite gentlemen. while the typical family teaches their daughters to disrespect men and tell them no man is good enough for them. if you look around at modern culture it is very evident that girls are valued far more than boys. i will admit i am liberal for the most part but i do like that conservatives seem more man friendly. i like barack obama but it ticked me off when he gave a big speech on fathers day about how most men are sh*tty dads. now i understand alot of men are bogus dads, but fathers day is to honor fathers ,not tear them down. could you imagine the backlash if a conservative politician called out moms on mothers day? |

juniperb | AquaG, that speech was in his house of worship not the Senate floor. I am NOT an Obama supporter but what part of the speech did you find untrue or unsavory ? I really liked this portion: quote: But we also need families to raise our children. We need fathers to realize that responsibility does not end at conception. We need them to realize that what makes you a man is not the ability to have a child - it's the courage to raise one.
