MMarie | What does the fixed star Algol mean in a natal chart? I have it conjunct Mars & Vesta and square my sun/ moon conjunction. I have read some pretty bad things about it. Any good? |

It’s just under 2 degrees from conjunction to Mars and about 1 degree square to Sun and Moon (right in between the 2). |
Ami Anne | It is thought to be unfortunate but I would have to have someone for a client and do a chart for them to really give an opinion, my Friend. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Thank you Nadja! I do like this article because it does not portray Algol in a completely or concrete negative light while still being honest with it’s negative qualities and showing examples in famous people. It is also relating to creativity which is nice to hear some of the positive outcomes. There is a lot of scary information out there about this. |

I'm an optimist at heart and have yet to experience anything bad in life that didn't also bring something good. So I firmly believe that nothing is completely evil or completely good... there is no black or white, only shades of grey. And I don't think Algol is any different! Most dark and scary-looking planets/asteroids/stars are seen as such because they represent the abnormal or the destructive, and yet we could not live without these things. Nothing new can begin without someone going against the norm, and nothing can be wrought anew without destroying the old. All of life is a cycle of creative destruction, the old dies and becomes fuel for the new. For all the pain that destruction brings, there is always the potential for creation. |
manymoones | I also have Algol conjunct Mars, and have read a lot of negative interpretations. Trines my Cap Saturn and Venus as well. I once read a more positive interpretation relating Algol to strong feminine energy, which explained why it was feared so much in our traditionally patriarchal societies. Salvador Dali had this placement, and he is one of my most favorite artists. |
