nove731 -Hmmmm... I have a 3rd House Moon, but I don't think it's just that which makes you work with your feelings like that.
I DO think it can contribute, but I think the Sign the Moon is in makes all the difference. It might be that way more for an Air Sign because it's more objective and cerebral. I'd add Virgo and Capricorn to the mix too, because they tend to be very fact-oriented.
So, see if you agree. Someone with their Moon in Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Capricorn, or Aquarius, in the 3rd House, may have the tendency (or ability) to take a step back from being IN THE MIDDLE OF their emotions. This in and by itself may be true, but if there is an Asc, Sun, Mercury, Venus or Mars in a Water Sign, it may soften this a bit.
If the Moon is in another Element, the person may be more inclined to experience their emotions and be IN THE MIDDLE OF them. But since the Moon is in the 3rd House, they tend to GO BACK AND THINK ABOUT HOW THEY FELT.
My Moon in Cancer gives me an incredible emotional memory. But I also go back and think about it because it is in the 3rd House. This contributes to my writing because although there is nothing more emotionally in tune than a Moon in Cancer, I have the need to think about how I feel and make some kind of sense of it. It may not happen congruently, it may happen moments, days, months or even years later.
I'd suggest that with a Moon in Sagittarius, the accessibility of the feelings may not be as available because the Moon is in a Mutable and jovial Sign. But ... I would also say that a Moon in Sag gives one STRONG emotions. They just may let them go a lot easier.
* Also wanted to add that it may be an Aspect you have, such as a Moon/Mercury aspect.
