T O P I C R E V I E WLoveGlaucus brought this up in one of the boards and I didn't know what it meant so I cruised around the internet to see what it meant in my chart...always wondered, just never looked into it yet.So my Pluto is Stationary Direct. What exactly does this suggest? It would seem that it means that the planet has a greater energy in one's chart but most of the info I have found is vague at best.Anyone know anything more about Pluto Stationary Direct in Libra (4th house)?Grazie,LoveGem-SagI am interested in this topic too, I have a friend with a stationary venus in leo, I have heard that it makes the nature of the planet more expressed. Maybe a smartie on this site can give us more clues LoveThat's what I'm hoping!Love*Bumpedy Bump*GlaucusStation - A planet makes a station when it appears motionless before reversing direction in its orbit as viewed from the Earth. Thus a planet can make a station (appear to stop and then move in the opposite direction) when going from retrograde to direct, or from direct to retrograde. Stationary planets are considered quite influential. When turning retrograde, they symbolize a reversal or delay. When turning direct, they indicate a renewal or revitalization. The Sun and Moon are never stationary and never retrograde.Stationary - A planet in its station appears to be standing still between periods of Retrograde and Direct motion. Sun and Moon are never stationary.Stationary Direct - A planet stationary at the position of returning to Direct Motion through the zodiac. This is considered to be among the most powerful positions for planetary influence, especially in Jyotish, or Indian (Vedic) astrology. http://www.findyourfate.com/faq/s-glossary.htm STATIONARY MOTIONA planet is said to "make a station" when it seems to stop moving. Muchly appreciated! So I suppose that if I am to interpret what it means in my chart, then I would have to take into account the fact that Pluto falls in my 4th house in Libra (and incidentally conjuncts the asteroid Karma - ouch!) and that bringing all these together means I have a heaping spoonful of stuff to...ahem...balance this time around? Perhaps related to home and the family and the unearthing/dealing with those issues in both a timely and karmic manner?Sigh. Thanks,Love hvnlystarzhello love are you by chance born around june 24th, 1978? because i have pluto stationary in libra as well- and it stationed direct exactly on my birthdate. i have it in my 7th house- and i have a lot of pluto aspects (square mercury and jupiter; sextile venus, neptune and midheaven; semisquare saturn; semisextile uranus; uranus in scorpio in the 8th; as well as uranus retrograde but direct 27 days later which happens to be this whole last year for me).i would love to find material that talks about stationary planets in greater depth. often what i have found is a token paragraph in a book or the site- but i feel there is more to them intuitively. i know that steven forest told me it was a pretty powerful aspect to have (pluto stationary). ------------------~*~my true centeris an enormous capacityto fall in lovewith everything around me~*~GlaucusWell...I tried to help. There is not anything else explaining stationary planets in depth. There is no books explaining it in depth. There are no sites talking about in depth. Stationary Planets are just strong planetary energies. That's all they really are.House placements, sign placements, and aspects involving them are much stronger than usual. This goes for natal, synastry, and transit.Even an aspect involving a person's stationary outerplanet and another outerplanet can be significant due to the strength of the stationary outerplanet.Wide aspects involving stationary planets can act like the aspect is really in orb.LoveGlaucus! You were VERY helpful! I have barely been able to find more than a definition so thanks so much.
