T O P I C R E V I E WmirI searched all over the internet for this apect in synastry. The only thing I found was very negative!Listen to this:- Saturn opposition Saturn:What does it mean to your relationship when your natal Saturn is in opposition to your partner’s Saturn? This is considered to be a very difficult relationship aspect. Each individual is living out a different life path. Two old souls meet upon a dusty road. “I am going to climb the mountains of the West.” “I am going to cross the desert in the East.” Whether they pass in moments, or share stories through the night, neither will make further progress along their chosen path until they separate and move on.-I do share this aspect with my 15 years younger boyfriend!!First very happy that his sun in scorp is conjunct my moon (2 degr.) and now.....Is it really so bad as it seems??Or is there still hope....help me!CoffeeOppositions can have good/bad effect and not likely to be easy. More to look at with your partner than just Saturn. 1 option in 12. blue moonIt's a tense aspect. I don't think you are going to find anything that is positive in tone. But like coffee says, this is just one aspect in a bigger picture. What else is on the charts? Are other planets involved in the opposition? For example, if one of you has Sun Trine Saturn that could mean that it interacts with the other chart and eases up the tension. The other factor I feel like pointing out is that tense aspects provide an opportunity to learn from each other. Maybe this aspect in itself describes the age difference and how maybe you are at stages in your respective lives where the things you want are quite different. This might make you want to look at what you really need in life, and force a compromise between you both. iQMy wife and I share this aspect. There will be constant squabbles about how to establish life, how to spend, how much to spend and on what, rules, restrictions, duties etc.Giving in a few points to either party easily solves the problem. Karmic rewards always follow an amicable resolution. Thats the power of Saturn.------------------ http://tamsoft.co.in/articles.html mirWow...indeed!His Saturn trine my Sun (2 degr.)His Saturn square my Mercurius (5 degr.)These are the only peronal planets involved.By the way, de opposition was 5 degr.I had a better feeling about this placement after searching & searching (moon-scorp)..and i found this: http://books.google.nl/books?id=CeK1ZSSk-CYC&pg=PA105&lpg=PA111&output=html pirethanks for the link, i'll cut and paste it on this thread: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/006272.html Geocosmic* ValentineI think the most simple way to look at Saturn opposite Saturn is the realities of a relationship where one partner is 14 to 16 years older than the other partner. What kind of unique issues pop up in a relationship with an age gap that wide? If you're talking about a 15 year old and a 30 year old, what kind of issues do you think they deal with? Control, wisdom, generation gap, maturity vs. immaturity, etc.Now let's say the couple is 25 and 40. Does the 40 year old partner worry about the 25 year old partner and what they are possibly ready for in terms of commitment, responsibilities, settling down? Does the 25 year old feel inexperienced compared to the 40 year old? What are the gender politics involved at that age? Parental issues with the 25 year old, how does that person's family of origin factor into the young person's decision to be in relationship with someone much older, and vice versa?A couple who is 50 and 65. Are the pressures less at this point? One is ready for retirement, does this matter for either of them? Most of life has been lived already, it's easier to see eye to eye at this point.I don't think there's much more to it than recognizing the life cycle differences. Some people can deal with them and some people can't. If you're dealing with them well, then I wouldn't worry Saturn opposite Saturn. It's just an indicator. What issues have popped up for you and your partner in regard to age? Was it a problem for either of you or was it a problem for society?Saturn rules age, bones, teeth, rules, discipline, law, government, power, structure, truth, honesty, security, wisdom, ice, cold, stone, things that are hard. CoffeeSaying nothing Its a big deal when not only Saturn vs Saturn are in bad aspect, but something else too. Will take a lot of work, but maybe best to not bother with it.woah cakeshmmmm.. we have this in a 1 deg orb. curious if anyone else has it and would like to discuss it! i found a good article on it a while back i'll try to find.feitlebaumMy boyfriend and I have this as well. We both have different opinions on marriage and kids, and we will probably have different views on finances (like a lot of couples)... I think it's something you have to compromise. We have a lot of Saturn in our relationship, good and bad aspects. Be positive and be civil! I hear it helps to have Saturn aspects in your natal chart.woah cakesi found the article! http://theinnerwheel.com/2010/02/23/synastry-studies-the-saturnsaturn-opposition/ yeah, it's interesting because i find it really binding while still experiencing the polarity of it. his mars, uranus and pluto conjunct my saturn as well, all in very close orb, so it seems to exaggerate things in this area.woah cakesin fact, his uranus and pluto are both 1'29 from my saturn; so my saturn is their exact midpoint. i find that trippy and wish i could figure out precisely what that means energetically.his saturn is also conjunct my south node by 4 and my south node conjuncts his chiron by 2, and his stellium that conjuncts my saturn is also slightly widely cj my north node, SO, it all kinda seems very karmic with so much emphasis on the nodes and saturn.mirWow.. it feels like a decade ago that I wrote this! Lol 15 years younger.. pfffft butteuh.. we're still in contact and coincidentally I had a long chat with him last night.. but I don't *feel-IT* anymore and well ofcourse I'm processing my recent Pisces-history at the moment...
