T O P I C R E V I E WraixofxsunshineOk, so I was wondering. If venus is Virgo 29' 0", would I interpret it as Virgo or Libra?? Or both?electricmindin virgo. the very first and last degrees of any sign are critical.raixofxsunshineCritical you say? How so?electricmindHere is one interpretation http://www.cafeastrology.com/criticaldegrees.html Critical & Anaretic DegreesCritical Degrees and 29 Degrees in Astrology"Classic critical degrees are 0, 13, and 26 degrees of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn); 8-9 and 21-22 degrees of fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius); and 4 and 17 degrees of mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces). These are considered sensitive, and sometimes strengthening, points. If a natal planet is found in a critical degree, that planet is emphasized and assumes more power in the life of the native due to its placement. Many astrologers consider 0 and 29 degrees of any sign critical degrees as well. The 0 and 29 degrees are more crisis-oriented points, especially in predictive work.If a natal planet is found at 29 degrees of any sign, also known as the Anaretic degree, there can be some real issues with decision-making in that part of the personality represented by the energies of the planet. The native may evaluate and re-evaluate situations before making a move one day, and the next day, jump into the action without listening to himself or herself! For example, if Mars is at 29 degrees, the native may devise many plans of actions, worry excessively about the possible actions and different routes to take, and then execute a spontaneous action that is contrary to the decision!"raixofxsunshineAhhhh I see... Ok I'm gonna look into the article! Haha I'm excited; this is new! So would the type of indecision would be influenced by the sign, or in this case Virgo? racole12I have my ASC @ 29 Gemini and Mars @ 29 Saggie.... Grrr. racole12dpmcmlxixraixofxsunshine...the planet would be Venus...the feminine principle of drawing in people and things like money. It's attracting, attraction, love, beauty, harmony, affection, etc.Virgo can be a bit of a tough placement for Venus generally, as Virgo tends to hold back too much and be too critical. Venus rules Libra, and Virgo and Libra are semi-sextile...the energies don't flow well together. The critical degree I'm sure won't help with this. But all is not lost. Look for beneficial aspects between Venus and sympathetic planets. Look to see if you have harmonious planets in Leo or Libra. Also what's going on in your 5th & 7th houses? Which house is Venus placed in?The latter is important generally, but with a critical degree probably more so. The house indicates where in your life the impact will be, and should also indicate where the indecision will lie.raixofxsunshineMcmlxix, sadly, I don't know the house placement. A friend of mine has the aspect and birthtime is unknown. But trust me, I know how how Venus in Virgo can be, I've got it, too.I've Jupiter in a critical point, by the looks of it, but that's not my main focus at the moment.mcmlxixAlso what's going in in Taurus. Venus rules here too.PS...it's too bad about not knowing the time/place of birth. I think houses are overlooked (aspects seem to be given more weight) but very important especially with the outer planets.VenusDiSiriusU have strong virgo venus. Had ur venus been on 0 degree u could have it managed both virgo and libra way... With 0 degree u need consciousness, motivation, goals to make it work, and when u work it's like magic. With 29th karma gives u accumulated energy which is a roller by itself. Of course,u have progression, which acts practically immediately with 29th degree, but that shouldn't be confused with inherited qualities.------------------Leo/Libra/Capricorn
