T O P I C R E V I E WrorrrI've found that when it comes to relocation astrology or astro*carto*graphy, I only notice the aspects of planets to new angles and *not* planet placement in new houses. For example, I lived someplace under an exact Neptune AC line with an exact Moon-quintile-AC at relocation. This was far more noticeable than my Sun, Mercury, and Pluto displaced to the 10th house.I also lived in London where my Venus falls directly on my Descendent - exact Venus DC line. I now and may forever love British men (by comparison, American guys are such dogs!) but I barely noticed my Uranus shifting from my 1st house to my 8th house... or my Sun from the 11th to the 6th.What do you guys think? If angles (and aspects to angles) matter most in relocation, this realization will make my life so much easier!imogyneHi RorrrI'm wanting to do a relocation chart and so far have only found that astro.com have one with explanation. I find it to be quite generic. Can you suggest any sites I can do one that will give a better explanation.ThanksrorrrI wish I knew as well! I've been trying to study it for a year now, and I can't find a lot of information on it. It still seems very speculative.I've also been looking for talented relocation astrologers... Donna Cunningham of Sky Writer blog and Mountain Astrologer IMO is one of the best, but unfortunately I don't think she practices anymore She's great, though. If you post your relocated chart, I could try and help interpreting it, though... Perhaps others in the forum can join in to help. Cheers!Lava FlowerI would love to know more about relocation astrology as well. Opinions differ on this as they do in most of astrology.I have noticed NN transits to my natal angles, and my progressed natal angles. But im fairly new to this research so i can't say if the same is true for my relocated angles or not.I have a question about the relocated ASC, do you notice it? Does your outer personality change apart from the aspects to the angles that you feel? Hmm, I'm not sure I'm asking this right. One last note, your natal chart will always be the true you, your purpose etc. So perhaps that's why you do not feel the planetary house change.rorrrHi LF! That's so interesting about your NN transits... what have you observed?I can barely notice my nodal transits and how they affect my behavior in specific ways; I think it's very subtle, so it might be hard to discern on relocated angles. That said, I can imagine relocating someplace where you have a North Node Ascendent might make it slightly easier for you to get what you need while expressing yourself in interactions with others. But I doubt having NN on the IC someplace will make you more of a homebody or bring some sort of karmic retribution if you keep pursuing a career (South Node MC).I'm sure there's a more science based Nodal function explanation out there for why this is!As far as relocated Ascendant... I think it would be difficult for you to notice because the AC is an affected thing; it's not something that happens to you. It'd be hard to shed your 'outer personality' and all the conditioning you've picked up just because you're in a different environment... But just as with different people (and unique synastric aspects and composites) you behave a bit differently, I think you can do that with places too! Maybe that's your relocated AC and MC reaching out to the world. Lol... sorry. Still more speculation. There are a lot of people on here that have moved before though, right? Have you noticed any of the new tight aspects your planets make to relocated angles? This seems very real to me.Lava FlowerOh, to clarify, I did not really "feel" NN transits to my angles, I just looked back on a few events, changes in my life and the NN was transiting over them. Also the natal progressions seem valid as well. The reason I asked about the relocated ASC is because I was 9 when I moved to United States from Europe. My natal ASC is at 0* Leo and my relocated ASC is at 29* Sagittarius. So I wasn't sure how much of it was Leo and how much was the 3rd decan of Sagittarius. That and I'm curious how people adjust to the new ASC, if at all.I do not have any planets conjunct the relocated angles except my Venus has progressed over to the relocated DSC recently It will stay that way till it retrogrades back in a few years lol by then my retrograded Uranus will be on the ASC exactly (its at 0* Capricorn right now). I am not sure how all of this is affecting me. Uranus conjunct ASC descriptions fit me very well but then again so do the Uranus inconjunct ASC that I have natally. I haven't looked into Venus conjunct DSC yet.One thing I did notice is that important people in my life have had planets conjunct the relocated vertex. I really should look into my relocated chart. Lava FlowerI can't say I relate to the relocated planet placements but whats interesting is that I left my husband when my progressed natal MC was conjunct my relocated IC.. Have you noticed the transits to your relocated angles?rorrrVenus conjunct DC is supposed to be a great thing! Sounds like love, $$$ or shopping is just going to funnel its way into your life... Let me know what happens when it happens!Yeah, that relocated vertex thing is very interesting... Hmm. I have mars conjunct relocated vertex, so you're reminding me to look into my chart as well.I'm really looking for anecdotal evidence on this stuff. People move all the time. Surely somebody has noticed some angular somethings??!I haven't gone through any major transits to my relocated angles yet, but Saturn is about to transit my Sun-Pluto-DC conjunction in a few, so I will let you know how that goes. ...If I make it -_-
