T O P I C R E V I E WXenaWould the hard aspects (conjunction?, square or opposition) influence the areas of life the house rulers represent. For example I have mars as the ruler of my 9th house in opposition to uranus as the ruler of my 6th and 7th house. Does this mean that my work & health and relationships are opposite to my belief system, morals, long-distance travel and higher learning. lalalindaInfluence? most definatelyyou also need to consider what house this opposition takes place inan oposition can show a struggle to make a choice.9th house is a big time truth seeker house and can show the changes in where your views start and where they eventually end up.------------------"For all those who believe, expect a miracle.” Linda Goodman 1925-1995somethingexcellentThe thing about the opposition is that they are not opposites, but rather like a back and forth. You might have a stable occupation, have a budding infatuation somewhere, but then...your desire for both knowledge and higher learning comes in and if you feed that area of life, go on an adventure, go to a new city/state/country, your occupation and your relationships will falter. The opposition is one end has power, one end is strong, but then if you lean to the other end, that one will take the power and become stronger. It's hard to compromise with an opposition and that's where the tension comes in. XenaUranus is in the 4th and mars in the 10th house. JkittyWhen dealing with an opposition, you can make use of any planets that aspect both points of it (i.e., sextiles one and trines the other or even squares both like a midpoint) to help you work out a balance between the opposing planets. If you don't have another planet to help you achieve the balance, it will take longer. But the opposition doesn't need to go from one extreme to another all your life; part of growing up is learning to achieve and maintain a balance. I speak from personal experience when I say that.XenaYes i have uranus trine venus in the 9th. Venus rules my 3rd and 10th house. Jkitty quote:Originally posted by Xena:Yes i have uranus trine venus in the 9th. Venus rules my 3rd and 10th house. So Venus is in the house that Mars rules. Does she also sextile Mars? This is like Venus works for Mars as a consultant in his "company" (house) who can arbitrate with Uranus. She gets along well with both planets and can use her charm as a go between, but she'll have conflict of interest in this situation because of where she's residing. But wait! Mars rules the 9th, but where does HE reside? Is he in accidental mutual reception with Venus? Or is he in your 6th or 7th houses where Uranus rules? Planets in mutual reception, whether by sign or by house ("accidental") have a vested interest in keeping each other happy. It's like swapping houses with someone -- you want to keep theirs looking nice so they will do the same with yours. That would put Venus in a stronger position to negotiate a balance between Uranus and Mars.
