T O P I C R E V I E WgoddessofthemoonIf any of you have any retrograde planet in your natal chart, can you explain how they affect you?I was thinking how Venus and Uranus are both in retrograde... I wonder how these placements will affect the babies who have been born recently. Will they naturally be rebellious and all about their freedom due to the Uranus rx? I also wonder if they would have a larger than life presence when they walk in a room.SoltzeI think retrograde planet actions turn inward...I have a retro Uranus and it doesn't show itself in obvious ways. But I have everything retrograde from saturn onwards :-D :-DSDragonUranus rx in Scorpio (9th house)Most people believe I'm conventional and I don't show this side a lot to others. Probably has to do with the rx influence. But for those who I do share insights with, I can probably blow them away with my insights into the higher philosophical realms and spiritual understanding that this placement brings. But the rx also gives me a certain rigidity, as if I'm born with the belief "don't you dare try to impose your religions and understandings upon me, I'm waaaaaay above you", not in a superior complex, but just a I see things others don't.So I think the sign and placement also has a huge influence as to where this certain 'rebelliousness' can appear.MeatballzzzzzzI have three in my natal chart. Mercury RX in Sagittarius in the 3rd. I have trouble communicating my perceptions as I tend to see them differently than those with Mercury Stationery. I actually have problems communicating in general as I have a hard time gathering my thoughts and then putting them into words (I am also air void). I usually have to think before I speak as I feel I can be misunderstood or have a hard time saying what I mean because I just can't form the words. I also process information slower than those without it too. I also always have thoughts running through my head since Mercury is internalized for me. I communicate best through writing. Jupiter RX in Leo in the 11th. I tend to take on challenges that others have failed at or ignored. I tend to seek answers from within when it comes to religious questions. It also makes me doubt what I deserve in life. I do feel that I create my own luck with this placement.Mars RX in Taurus in the 9th. I tend to bottle up my emotions until I can't any longer then I explode. I have a hard time asserting myself as I don't want to come across negatively or that my anger might get me into trouble. With this placement, I tend to overthink my actions before I act on them. I can drive myself crazy doing this sometimes lol.goddessinworldI have Venus rx and I feel so bad for the babies who are born right now. There are lots of things in my chart that I do not like but honestly this is the worst. It is very hard. It makes the person insecure, and self loathing. Because you are so insecure and critical of yourself, you can never get into a healthy relationship. Or you can never have a relationship and then become insecure because of that and its an endless cycle...In a lot of places I read, it says that the person has to love themselves first and get over their insecurities to overcome the challenges of Venus RX. But it is not that easy to love yourself.I have Venus in my first house which I guess is why I am so upset over this, loving and being loved is one of the most important things for me.GladspeelbkearnsI've wondered about this myself in the past-I have all 5 outer planets Retro in my natal chart-and in the case of Neptune, it's conjunct my IC.I agree this internalises a lot of the energy of the planets in question, making them stronger than they otherwise would be in some ways, though that takes time to manifest.though I wonder what other people's experiences were of retro planets turning direct by progression-I had Saturn retrograde in my 2nd house at birth, though around the age of 22 it turned direct. I can tell you in my early years I used to be super disorganised, moreso than most people my age. That changed almost overnight when Saturn was gearing up to turn direct though.------------------The world is just, a great big onion... And hate & fear are the spices that make it fly.KoniuchaI have Mercury Rx in Scorpio in my 10th house.I notice that its hard for me to explain what I am thinking. I will be saying something and the person ends up confused lolKibrianaI've got a lot of retrograde planets - Mercury, Saturn, Pluto, Uranus, Neptune, and some asteroids, too, and I can relate to a lot of what has been told about them, especially the outer ones. I've been struggling with poor self-esteem my whole life and I've got a real problem saying "no" (Saturn). I like my freedom and I often feel like a sore thumb (Uranus). I'm also a maste of escapism, daydreaming and all those fun Neptunian things. I'm also very secretive and I don't share my emotions easily (Pluto). The only one I don't really have problems with is Mercury. I have no problems expressing myself or getting the message across. Actually, I'm quite good at explaining and communicating my inner thoughts, if I choose to. I've also never experienced any difficulties learning, which is usually mentioned as a negative side of this Mercury. I've never had problems blending in the traditional system of education. But, I don't like working within it (I'm a teacher)and I prefer a more relaxed setting, but then, this might be Neptune and Uranus in the 6th house. Actually, even though the descriptions of retrograde planets fit me, there are also other aspects and placement which affect me the same way. I always find it fascinating how we have a couple of leifmotifs that keep repeating and reenforcing themselves through various aspects and placements. Free LeonI have Jupiter (10th), Saturn (1st), Uranus (11th), Neptune (11th), and Pluto (8th) retrograde.Jupiter: the expansive energy is turned inward. Music and spiritually-oriented studies have been the two greatest catalysts for my inner growth. I'm never content with the mundane and status quo; I prefer blazing my own trail instead of leading a cookie-cutter lifestyle. I've also read that Jupiter retrograde "can bring many déjà-vu experiences" (certainly true in my case), and I "can feel at home anywhere on the planet"--I agree with this, but it doesn't exempt me from feeling uncomfortable in certain situations, obviously.Saturn: I'll probably dedicate a post to Saturn sometime this week.Uranus: makes me more aware of my individuality/the qualities that significantly distinguish myself from others. Because of this it was difficult to freely express myself when I was younger. I was never an outcast or loner (perhaps when it came to my beliefs, sure), I actually socialized with many people from different backgrounds/walks of life, but I noticed I was on a level that most would not be able to understand/relate to. "Uranus Retrograde gives you a compelling sense of responsibility toward personal growth because you sense that human progress as a whole is enhanced as well. You are a forerunner of the future, very tapped into the richness of life. You must be original; you must explore the new; you must share your ideas with others. You are a free spirit and cannot be bound by seeking to have others understand what you are about. Your path may be long and crooked, but you can know extreme happiness while traveling it."Neptune: "gives the desire to unveil mysteries and to expose religious shams", when I was in middle school (and an atheist at that time) I would ruthlessly expose the flaws in the belief systems of people who would preach/try to impose their beliefs onto others."You will have an intuitive awareness of your subconscious mind, but may have difficulty making conscious attunement. Neptune retrograde attunes much easier to the subconscious/unconscious when the focus is diverted by the use of a tool, such as astrology, or while the conscious mind is occupied with the task at hand. It is, therefore, important to listen to and heed insights that appear to come to you from “out of the blue.” Pluto: "turns its transformative energy even more deeply into the superconsciousness, bringing about an inner illumination long before you are able to give it expression in the outer world. Pluto retrograde indicates a carry-over of psychic powers from previous lifetimes. These powers are to be used in constructive ways only. You will feel the struggle humanity is going through within yourself—humanity’s struggle is your struggle. You are aware of and feel responsible for lifting your conscious awareness so that the consciousness of humanity can be thereby lifted." That sums it up. In regard to the "carry-over of psychic powers from previous lifetimes", Pluto's house placement and the aspects (particularly deciles, quintiles, tre-deciles, bi-quintiles, and septiles) can point to what those psychic powers might be.MoonMysticPluto rx in VIRGO (h9)I've read this is mystical combo, I agree,it fits. Plus a mind like mine can dig deep, dark with little hesitation.Uranus rx in LIBRA (h10) cnj MC closely I believe I've always been magnetically drawn to electronic gadgets. My sense of style has been less a normal "weird" Uranus vibe. I've been more so embarrassed at my mishaps because I'm certainly no true Libran, though I admire their class in carrying physical style. With the rx Uranus, I have had my share of others asking where I bought this and that. Trend setting so to speak. I think I have some kind of Talent in knowing what will become a trend I merely try it out before others in my orbit.Less important to many-DNA rx in Leo (h8)I'm clueless. I am a Sun sign which opposes this placement though! lolRosalindI haveMercury, Mars, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn and Pluto Retrograde in my natal chart. 6 planets. This kind of thing is very rare in astrology. These people are born in this life after having lived many others previous this lifetime. Especially Mercury.areesquivelI think Mercury was in shadow phase, but I have Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto retro in my chart.arcturus90I only understand how Pluto retrograde affects. That's the only retrograde planet in my chart... I read that Pluto retrograde people are very doubtful psychologically, doubtful of their psychology, I don't know how to translate in english... They are able to purify themselves in... I read other planets retrograde but didn't recognize myself and I don't really understand. t planet retrograde affects you this way : the energy is interiorized and instead of experiencing this out, they have to change this energy in themselves because they use to direct this energy in a bad / wrong way... Hard to explain in english... I saw that People who have Mercury retrograde are difficult to talk with. They get angry easily or just don't talk a lot or just don't like to talk... Having quarrels with them can be frequent. Difficult to communicate with them. When Mercury was retrograde last time, a few days ago, I didn't talk much, didn't really want to talk, while usually I like talking, and I didn't understand why until I saw that this planet was retrograde. I think Pluto will be retrograde all my life in my progressed chart, people for whom Pluto turns direct in their progressed chart experience this planet better (and all planets of course)I know some people who have no planet retrograde, I don't really know them deeply but them seem nice people, not too much complicated. But I noticed that people with pluto retrograde, are often nicer than those with pluto direct in they chart. People who have Pluto direct are often dominant, trying to dominate. edit : mistake : they used to direct this energy in a wrong way in a past life / several past lives. I saw my nodes were retrog before, somebody told meI was wrong but this past weekI had my midpoint report done. Bam! I amdefinitely a node retrograde lady.
