T O P I C R E V I E WQueen SalomeIs it normal that NN feels so uncomfortably?I have Capricorn NN on edge between 9th and 10th house. Things associated with it-independence, growing up, taking responsibility, maturity, come so unnaturally to me. I would be happiest living inside some kind of clan. My NN also conjunct Moon, Uranus and Neptune. Or maybe I'm doing something horribly wrong?SDragonYes, the NN will feel uncomfortable because our SN is basically what feels comfortable to us. People like to follow the path of least resistance and therefore, we usually default to our SN behavior. To evolve and grow into our NN requires that we change our internal behavior from one of passivity to one of active participation. It means that we struggle with making the choice that seems riskier, requires work, discipline, responsibility, integrity and honesty. We confront our NN in every aspect of our life, from our family, friends, work, hobbies, day to day thoughts and as we choose our NN energies, we realize that we always had these personality traits within us.Kannon McAfeeQueen Salome,I don't assume you are doing anything horribly wrong or 'wrong' at all. Life is a learning process. It is perfectly understandable that you don't feel comfortable with the things associated with the N.Node. We first orient ourselves in life based on what we are most familiar with and find most natural (S.Node). In time, we see the wisdom of its sympathetic counterpart and find creative ways of taking what we find natural to us and extending it for the other effect (N.Node). We bump back and forth between the rails on either side of any narrow path or place of balance until we get it 'right' or are done.Which brings me to a nitpick. There is no 'between' when it comes to houses. The Nodes are not bodies with any width, but are phantom points that are wholly in one house or another. (But are not very good rectification factors).S.Node in Cancer/N.Node in Capricorn is not that specific by itself. However, generally it indicates taking your feeling responses, nurturing, family-orientation, or receptive/creative tendencies and gradually discover how to put them to work with a longer-term mentality that extends past momentary reactions or feelings.------------------The Declinations GuyRising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓SaturnFanAccording to Evolutionary astrology, conjunctions to the NN are also to be viewed as oppositions to the SN = obstacles that could not be overcome in a prior life, and need to be addressed in the current life. With Saturn and Neptune opposite your SN, you were up against powerful forces. Saturn in particular represents immense limitations, most probably a person/ organisation/ cult? (9H/ 10H themes) completely took away your independence and most importantly, your inner confidence that you are capable of being independent. Since the opposition to the SN is also a conjunction to the NN, i.e. it shows "the way forward", the key lies in withdrawing projections from the energy of these planets. In a prior life you could have seen the Saturn and Neptune energies as evil, now you need to internalise them so you can move forward. The conjunction with the Moon is especially interesting, since the Moon rules your Cancer SN. Kannon McAfee http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/2016/05/14/lunar-nodes-and-spiritual-growth/ Queen Salome, with NN also conjunct Moon, Uranus and Neptune, the future and its fulfillment are more complicated than mere signs. Planets in close enough aspect to the Nodes become the focal point of interpretation. And there can seem to be contradictory interpretive elements there with S.Node in Cancer, but Moon conjunct N.Node. Just an added note that Uranus conjunct N.Node (depending on orb in longitude and declination) indicates what we'd interpret as free, independent relating to the world, which overshadows the responsibility you associate with Capricorn. Signs are backgrounds. Planets in aspect bring in their specific energies and more specific interpretation. Just don't break your brain trying to squeeze the interpretation out mentally. Moon+Uranus+Neptune=intuitive.------------------The Declinations GuyRising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓Queen SalomeI really like all your answers.I don't have Saturn conjunct NN.I will post this in case if I'm wrong with aspects.Moon-9°33' CapUranus-10°06' CapNorth Node-13°39' CapNeptune-14°05' CapMC-14°51' CapSaturn-0°16' Aqu (10th house)BelageI am not sure I understand where you are coming from. Usually when people have planets on a node, they are naturally drawn to expressing the things related to those planets and these planets drive them to fulfill the node's objective. I know someone with a stellium at the SN, and he is in his 60s and still doing SN things. In your case, you actually have a stellium on the NN (Moon, Uranus and Neptune), so not sure why the NN feels uncomfortable. Especially since obsessive Pluto had been going back and forth over those planets. Perhaps looking at your chart in its entirety would give the answer. Doux RêveI also feel very uncomfortable with my NN. It's widely conjunct my Mars; and is right on my DSC.Kannon McAfeeI take "uncomfortable" here to mean a discomfort with summary or presumptive interpretation of what it is 'supposed' to mean. No one is uncomfortable with their own purpose and future unless greatly assisted by their own companions of fear.Conquering fear is more important than anything to do with astrology.------------------The Declinations GuyRising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓mirage29Nice job, Kannon. I was really confused when it comes to my NN (Libra, 5th house) and nothing I read or did about it felt right. Libra wants me to move from "me" ( Aries) to "we" and to cooperate, 5th house says I should get creative, date more, have more fun, show my individuality in an artistic way, but with Libra I should not do it alone. That didn't make any sense to me and I got quite frustrated. Then I took up dancing, and here things started to get really interesting. I decided to start dancing at a desperate and lonely point in my life. I literally asked the universe for help and it said - "take up dancing". By doing it I creatively express myself (5th house), but since I'm a part of a group, I do it by cooperating with other group members ( Libra). What's more, my dance instructure is a Libra and from her I've learned a lot about cooperation, joint effort and diplomacy. So, my point is that there are as many ways to follow your NN paths and you just need to find the one which will make you grow more and the one you're supppose to take. BelageOk took a look at your chart.Your NN is in the 9th house. Not the 10th house. It makes a big difference. Also, even if the NN sign is in Capricorn, the 9th house is ruled by Sagg/Jupiter. It also makea a difference. Unless of course you are using equal sign systems, which I don't. Lastly, those planets clustering at the NN: Moon, Neptune and Uranus in Capricorn modulate the qualities of Capricorn. I am sure you have read that NN in Capricorn is about "maturity, responsability, growing up, blah blah"... all those Capricornian things. Fine, but when you add the moody Moon, the electric and unpredictable Uranus, and the foggy all encompassing Neptune to that mix, you are not dealing with Capricorn as you know it. Moon conjunct Uranus is not a stable placement. Hence you not relating to what you were told Capricorn is about. Also keep in mind that all this is also happening in the 9th house of spirituality, higher education and long distance travel. That's why cookie cutter astrology does not work. You are not here to be a paragon of responsibility, maturity and the like. Yes, there is some of that in your path, but you are also going to have to deal with the qualities of the Moon, Uranus and Neptune affecting your NN and transforming it so to speak. Some astrologers believe if there is a planet at the NN, the NN becomes that planet. You have 3 planets there! It will take you a while to figure out how to work with your NN.
