T O P I C R E V I E Whypatia238My mother is cappy with decan in mercury/virgo she has a reputation for a been a workaholic, she is that squirrel and bee that keeps busy...But yet I know capricorns like my brother with Cappy in the decan of Venus/Taurus with moon in Taurus who say things such as "life should be a permanent vacation" and I am like wow that is NOT how I view cappys I feel my mother set the tone for how I view capricorns but I need to realize they vary quite a lot and the decan has a lot do with it.My last supervisor with cappy in the decan of venus was very similar, YES she was hard working and responsible but she was always fantasizing about not working and even though I have zero complaints of her bc she definitely held her weight at our center but she valued more her free time and having fun than her career, again I respect her work ethic 110% but at her core she valued those things more. For starters capricorns with decan in venus/taurus are definitely more about that play and work balance but based on my conversations with them I think they would prefer to retire and for life to be a permanent vacation, like I am serious. My father is the exception with cappy in the decan of venus with moon in virgo...he modeled that play and work balance for me but I never got the impression from him that he felt at alll that life should be a permanent vacation, like virgos LIKE working, like we like Working hahahahahaha, yes is stressful but the idea of not working is sooooooooooooooo WEIRD to us. BUT what about cappy in the decan of cappy...man I don't know many of them but the one guy I knew that falls in this category is actually a total mess but I cannot say I have picked up on a pattern, I don't have enough data on this type of cappy....I am a VIRGO in the decan of VENUS and yes I need to work but I have a balance between work and play for sure, not a workaholic but dont want life to be a permanent vacation either, feel like my dad more in this regard. I have sun in virgo conjunct MC with virgo in the decan of venus, my father has sun in cappy with moon in virgo and cappy in the decan of venus.Have you guys made any observations of any sun signs and how they differ based on the decan their sun sign falls in?Lets think about something else other than coronavirus! firemoonI'm in the third decan and want to eventually generate passive income, hopefully setting myself up to retire relatively young. But it might take some obsessive hard work to get there. I feel I got a late start in finding my path and now I want an early finish lol. I'll admit there's also a certain amount of ego involved in wanting to be a successful entrepreneur. But at it's core my need to work is more connected to my need to feel I have a purpose. I noticed you said in another thread you're a mental health counselor.. can I ask do you enjoy it? Counseling as a career had never even crossed my radar but I'm now in a program that will allow me to do online counseling/coaching with people across the US. Most people's first reaction would probably be to think it's a scam, but it's centered around addiction and trauma (and therefore has recently become open to "survivors" as well as people with an advanced degree) and is accredited by a national board of professionals. I have MC in Pisces and my career goals had always been highly murky and altruistic when younger, all I knew for sure was that I hated materialism and greed and just wanted to "help people". But I never expected this might be how it plays out. So even if I "retire" I feel I'll always want to be doing something I can find meaningful. Or maybe at least put some of my money towards social or humanitarian causes. I'll have to think more about the other Caps I know and how this applies to them.. StubbornVirgoI’m a Virgo Sun in the Capricorn decan and Cap ASC in the Virgo decan. A double dose of workaholic tendencies.I definitely fantasize about not working, but I’m actually fantasizing about having passive income that requires little interference from me. It would feel weird and unnatural to not have a job. I like having money too much. I like being able to use and spend that money how I want. Actually, I’m pretty sure that even if I won the lottery, I would still keep a job.In my field, I could never just quit. But I can climb to the top of it, or reasonably close to it, to make more money and acquire more resources. MMarieI know a Capricorn in Taurus decan and he is exactly how you describe! Hard working but very much into relaxing and having fun as well. He works independently so has a very social life goes out during the week and sleeps in then works around his pleasures. But still very hardworking. He travels a lot too. I suspect he’s a Sag rising though so I don’t know how much that plays into it. anonymidarkness My brother has his Sun in second decan, and I've never seen the guy work "hard" ("hates" women) , he also has his Moon in taurus tho, and has always had that bull-nose(with a scar right on top..TMI). I'm one lazy sob and I work harder than him...That said, he's good at finishing everything he starts, doesnt seem to get bored doing same shjt all the time(unlike my gemini moon), gets up early consistently(Hahh! me..), and definitely gives a shgt about status and money, money, money.MMarie^ yeah the cap I’m talking about is veryyy much into status and money too. Not sure if that’s a cap thing in general or Taurus decan makes it worse? hypatia238 quote:Originally posted by firemoon:I'm in the third decan and want to eventually generate passive income, hopefully setting myself up to retire relatively young. I completely respect and admire entrepreneurs and also therapists! Both are awesome! Online degrees will become increasingly more and more the norm and now more than ever there are a lot of master degree programs out there you can complete ONLINE.This been said I will give you some advice that I wish was given to me. MAKE sure your online program is CAPREP accredited! This is very important bc to obtain your license your degree has to be CAPRED accredited. If is not you have to submit your education and they will then evaluate it and decide if is CACREP equivalent or not, this will result in them saying your education is not CACREP equivalent until you take some additional courses to meet their CORE content requirements, in other words you will end up having to spend more money on your education after obtaining your degree and be forced to go back to school ect and will make the process of getting your license more annoying! SO make sure whatever online program you register to is a counseling program (not a psychology program) and that is CACREP accredited. hypatia238 quote:Originally posted by StubbornVirgo:I’m a Virgo Sun in the Capricorn decan and Cap ASC in the Virgo decan. I almost relate more to the old way of assigning decans, it would mean ‘sun’ and since my sun is Virgo, if it means more sun, then yes, it fits, I'm a lot of Virgo in my personality, temper, but not necessarily in the qualities I have, seems to be more those I respect than those I exhibit. My lost crush is a Saturn Capricorn and he does work a hell of a lot, but mostly has a work that defines his life a lot, I'm very attached to my job, but I also maintain some flexibility (mutability, baby ), he is married to his job in a more practical manner than I am attached to mine.I have a couple of people at work with the same Capricorn decan and they work, but mostly they take their work quite to heart, it's not just quantity, but quality with them, they drown in work like a reflex and strive for quality, they create their value in their own eyes through how much they go for quality in their work. I relate to that a lot too actually 😊Old ways, these folks are Jupiter, looking at it with my baby eyes, I still think it fits as it's basically Cappy on steroids !Moonbeth quote:Originally posted by hypatia238:I neeed to meet more first decan cappy's.We all need to meet more Cappies, spend time with them, snuggle and snog them... *digressing*hypatia238 quote:Originally posted by Moonbeth: I love being a Virgo and never have enoughI love you!
