T O P I C R E V I E WValusI'd never even heard of this show, but I just watched the first two episodes. A stylized "Forensic Fairy-Tale", somewhere between "Amelie" and a Tim Burton movie, this ABC show got dumped after 22 episodes, leaving a lot of fans and critics disappointed. There are very few shows on network television that I can watch without wanting to throw up or shoot somebody, and this is, or was, or would have been one of them. Very clever, inventive, darkly humorous, adorable, and funny. If you have Netflix, you can see it there. Really cool show. The write-up on Netflix:"Easygoing baker Ned (Lee Pace) can bring things back to life with his touch, so he uses his gift to help private eye Emerson Cod (Chi McBride) solve murders. But there's a caveat: A second touch will doom the revived forever. So when Ned brings his childhood sweetheart (Anna Friel) back to life, they can never, ever touch -- but that doesn't stop them from falling in love. Swoosie Kurtz co-stars in this short-lived, but Emmy-winning, series."Pushing Daisies http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pushing_Daisies teaselI enjoyed this show when it was first on the air. ValusI guess there was a writer's strike during the first season that postponed a lot of the shows, and threw the viewers for a loop. People didn't know when it was on, or something. I don't know. I've heard that the quality of the show never declined, though.TigerlilyI absolutely loved Pushing Daisies! It's a shame it only had two seasons but at least the two seasons were great and the show ended on a high note.If you liked Pushing Daisies, you'll like Wonderfalls - it's made by the same people who did Pushing Daisies: Wonderfalls - The Complete SeriesYou might also like Dead Like Me (although it's a bit darker, yet still spiritual and quirky) - it's made by the same people too: Dead Like Me - The Complete CollectionValusThanks. One of the viewer reviews said it nicely, I think: quote:I've been trying to figure out why Bryan Fuller's excellent creations (Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls) have failed to ignite. And I think I've got it. Or part of it. This is television for people who don't like and don't watch television. (Perhaps they should have a channel for that.)
