T O P I C R E V I E WtantricseedSooo I googled "saturn in the 7th house" and the general interpretations seem pretty negative, especially regarding relationships. I also have "Saturn Conjunction Pluto 4°05" which, apparently is also not great for relationships! What do you guys think? Am I doomed? Any insight would be appreciated. BelageSaturn in the 7th house essentially means that you could have an older marriage partner, or that you have a fear of marriage (do you?) or that you would have a marriage that requires a lot of work. If you really don't want to deal with Saturn in the 7th house, some astrologers would recommend that you relocate so that your relocation chart would have Saturn in let's say the 3rd house or in the 6th house, or even in the 10th house which is a great placement for Saturn. GlaucusSaturn conjunct Pluto in 7th can indicate that your relationships can be serious,stable,deep,intense,transformational....there is nothing superficial about your relationships. This is the same about your partners too. You definitely take your relationships very seriously. There could be a possibility of being controlling or hold yourself back in the relationship. That could be due to fear stemming from past betrayals. The lesson is to let go of your past fears in regards to relationships. If you can do that, your relationship will be very profound and will get better with time. It can even change your life forever. Isn't all that patience and perseverance worth it? Your partner could have a strong Saturn,Pluto influence.a good example is somebody with:Pluto in 1stSun in ScorpioSun contraparallel PlutoMercury in ScorpioVenus in ScorpioMoon quincunx PlutoSun quincunx SaturnMoon square SaturnMercury contraparallel SaturnVenus contraparallel SaturnJupiter oppose SaturnSaturn oppose NeptuneSaturn contraparallel NeptuneSaturn trine PlutoSaturn conjunct MidheavenGlaucus Saturn in 7th You take your commitments to others very seriously, especially in close one-to-one relationships. Close relationships may be more work than pleasure for you and it may seem that you are always "working on" your marriage rather than enjoying it. Your marriage is likely to be the arena for your greatest growth.GeminiLover75Yes, I have Saturn in the 7th and that's how it is for me. Also my first partner was older (8 or 9 years) than me, I was probably too young for whole moving-in-together thing (25, we broke up when I was 30) and that's why we broke up... all of this, so I've read, is to do with me having Saturn in the 7th house.GeminiLover75What's the deal with relocation charts, btw? How does this change things?GlaucussighsStarrofVenusGirlI have this aspect natally and the guy I'm interested in ALSO happens to have his Saturn in my 7th in synastry. Right on my Sun actually. Also, Venus in the 7th.Basically always had a boyfriend of one kind or another. I fell in love in my late teens (with a guy only 2 years older), we were together till my early 30s, then I left him. Now, a couple years later, I am single for the first time. I don't feel that Saturn in the 7th predisposes you to liking older partners, to a bad marriage, an early marriage, a late marriage, or no marriage. I DO think it makes issues surrounding partnership FEEL a bit heavier and more agonizing than for people with most other Saturn placements. Lucia23DPGlaucus"I don't feel that Saturn in the 7th predisposes you to liking older partners"Actually, that's how it has worked for her.tantricseed is my exgf,Meghann. I am 12 years older than her.As you see, I have a very strong Saturn influence.I actually met her the day after she first posted this thread. I wasn't a member of this forum until July 2006. I didn't know about this thread until November 2006. The example that I gave was my own chart. I even showed her my post to her shortly after I posted. She and I were officially a couple August 2006.the issue wasn't the Saturn conjunct Pluto in 7th. It was her Moon in Scorpio conjunct that Saturn in Scorpio and Pluto in Libra. She has very strong obligations to her mother, and she couldn't cut the umbilical card. What made it worse was that her mother had a strong dislike for men because Meghann's father cheated on her. Out of fear of what her mom would think because of her prejudices with men, Meghann kept our relationship a secret until she got herself situated in regards to her relocation and work stuff. She was also concerned about what her mom would think about the age difference. Having parents that were 13 years apart, I didn't think anything of it. Besides, she was over 21 years old. She was planning to relocate with her mom. She had an argument with her sister. Her sister threatened to tell the truth about the relationship to her mother. Meghann told her mother before sister was. She told me that her mother was angry with her for lying to her instead of being happy that her daughter found a nice guy that wasn't like her exhusband. That was the beginning of the end of our relationship. She broke up with me on April 2nd shortly after she went to her grandmother's funeral. She and her mom decided that they were going to relocate and live in her grandmother's condominium. it was an interracial relationship. She's white, and I am the son of black man and white woman.so it wasn't that her relationship were doomed. It's the issue with how her life depends on what her mom thinks and feels. With her mother's prejudices being a complication. She let fear overcome love. I don't think any placement dooms anybody. It's what we do that determines if your relationships work or not.Raymond------------------“It is absolutely the perfect name,” Dr. Brown said, given the continuing discord among astronomers and the public over whether Pluto should have retained its planetary status. In mythology, Eris ignited discord that led to the Trojan War.“She causes strife by causing arguments among men, by making them think their opinions are right and everyone else’s is wrong,” Dr. Brown said. “It really is just perfect.” http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/15/science/space/15xena.html?_r=1 blue moonSaturn is exalted in the 7th house. Lucia23The Saturn sign is key, too---Saturn's exalted in the 7th, but in its detriment or whatever in Cancer.I'm not into older guys. I liked same age guys or guys a year or two older when I was younger...basically my 7th house Saturn and I like tall, hot 24-year-old guys with beautiful faces, good jawlines, and lean torsos. Those guys were older than me in the past, younger than I am now. All the guys I've gone for have been wildly talented, witty, and unconventional...also I have a secret weakness for fame...so I can see a guy's wonderfulness being more important to me than him meeting the beauty ideal at some point. I actually don't care about age at all--I care about mutual chemistry, beauty, sex appeal, brilliance, talent, and the guy being a really unusual, cool person who I think is extraordinary. But, so far, I've never been attracted to the old ones, I think cause they just aren't as hot looking to me.Lucia23Everything I read about Saturn in the 7th is a huge, INACCURATE bummer.Everything I read about Saturn in Cancer is deeply depressing, too...but very accurate, for me. Maybe because my Moon-Saturn are conjunct...LanaofAugust...not to mention Saturn in the 8th house...venus_aspectedI have Saturn and Pluto conjunction in the 7th house. In my case, I was in a relationship with someone way too older than I am. We broke up and I had some other relationships with younger ones. Well, it seems that the older partner was the one who can understand me more. I am very ambitious and I want to succeed in life. I want to have a successful partner too or someone who can help me be successful. It was just recently that I realized that I don't need anyone to be successful. I will depend on me with partner or not. Maybe, I don't need a partner at all. I'm near my Saturn Return so my past relationships were bad ideas, as they say. Hopefully, this tough Saturn Return will shed a light on me. Lucia23Wow, it's weird to see this thread again after such a long time. Since then I fell madly in love, had a (very short-5 month) relationship, and he left me. I think one thing this placement does is make romantic relationships important to me, in a very serious, central way.Ami AnneI did not know you had Saturn conjunct moon in the 7th,Lucia How would you describe Saturn conjunct Moon. Oh, wait,we just talked about this.Right?? Yes,on the other thread lolI did not realize that it was in the 7th though. That explains a lot of what you are going though. All these insecurities come out about my love life.It was less of a problem until recently. I think all these Pluto and Saturn transits might be the culprit. And I can't tell when they'll be over, there's so much retrograding with those planets going on.
