T O P I C R E V I E WRosaDelValleI had a psychic reading last week with absolutely no expectations. I went with a friend on a whim for entertainment purposes. To my surprise, my reading was pretty spot on and my friend's was even more specific and even included names.Anyway, she summed up my relationship with my family and told me that I was going to have a much needed career change at the end of the year and meet my soul mate. I had not gone in with any specific questions, but it got me thinking... if we do have soulmates are we destined to meet them at some point in our lives or can free will keep us from meeting them at all? Are missed chances gone forever or do you think that they will find their way back to us in this lifetime? Any thoughts? I am not really holding my breath, but I have been turning this over in my mind since then.RandallI think you have more than one chance.PixieJaneIt depends on how you define "soul mate." One person says she has a score of soul mates, including her pet dog. You seem to be at the other end in thinking there is only one per customer.Offhand, I'd say nothing is certain. If it were, then I'd personally find that frightening rather than comforting, and also about pointless. That said, I do believe I found my platonic soul mate through incredibly unlikely circumstances. Her BFF at the time brought me to her which she had never done to anyone else before, and we instantly hit it off as if we'd been friends for awhile (might be worth noting this was about the same area that we supposedly knew each other in a previous life). She believes we've been together in many lives, and when I introduced her to my cousin, he also "recognized" her. At the time I didn't even realize my cousin believed in reincarnation and they were having this surreal discussion in front of me.And if all that past life she describes is true then it may explain a strange connection I made when I was a 15-year-old runaway on the streets. I met an old guy we all called Pappy, and going by his life story then I could've known him in a previous life when we were both teens assuming what my soul mate says is true of our very last life together. In that case, wow, his soul and mine recognized each other even if we didn't consciously pick up on it. And assuming it's true, then he went to Vietnam (whereas whoever I was back then was murdered, and my soul mate died of OD), came back a drug addict, married, served multiple sentences for drug violations, and finally wound up hiding from the law on the streets of a city several states away where I coincidentally (?) would appear in my new form as a teenage runaway (which is bizarre as my meeting my BFF soul mate of this life, assuming we were destined to meet). It's haunting to remember that (and I was just talking about that the other day with someone) and would've liked to have discussed the possibility with him (and maybe we will in some future life).RandallThere are no truly missed chances, because the Uni-verse will magnetize you two-gether somehow and keep on doing so.SDragonYep, I kind of think of "The Adjustment Bureau".RandallGreat movie!RandallBump!RandallSeemed to have a lot of truths in it.RandallOr as Linda would've said, it had "Star Signs" in it.RandallBump!NineWas the psychic right?RandallTell us!RandallBump!RandallBump!RandallBump!RandallBump!RandallBump!
