When I was in college, I was thinking of going into music therapy but it was too new of a field for me to want to chance it.However, I had an amazing experience in learning to sing.
My teacher has gotten me to the point where I need to put more expression into my singing.
It is really hard to let yourself go when you have had to keep yourself really stiff and buttoned up.
He played a song for me and he had so much feeling in it that I started crying.
He can use his whole range of emotions and I only have a small range due to childhood abuse.
Well, I started forcing myself to sing and to let go and I feel like I am emotionally healthy like I used to be.
It is not just this as other things have been happening but music is an amazingly powerful healer.
I just wanted to share it with you.
