Yang | I know this isn't going to bother most of you but it does to me. I have noticed spelling errors in Gooberz and I am only in Canto 7. I have losted count of how many spelling errors I have come across. I know it must have been a mammoth task to sub-edit and proofread the book and I raise my hat to those who did it, but I just can't help noticing these things like spelling and grammar errors in whatever I read.
OR, perhaps Linda deliberately mispelt(or is it mispell?) certain words? That is my gripe for the day. |
Randall | I have only noticed a few. Most of them are intentional. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark |
Yang | Thanks randall |
SunChild | What Randall said! I too did notice- and also noticed the intentionalisms of them too! But even if they weren't as you said, Yang, it makes it more interesting, human, and real. ------------------ "And dreams, don't ever forget, are the first step in manifesting wishes into reality"-- Linda Goodman's Star Signs |
Randall | It must have been very difficult to proofread such a book. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll |
Randall | I know a few of them were not intentional. ------------------ "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." Charles Schultz |
Randall | Star Signs has a few also. ------------------ "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." Charles Schultz |
LEXX | Yep...lots. |
Randall | ------------------ "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." Charles Schultz |
Randall | *bump* ------------------ "Fortune favors the bold." Erasmus |
Randall | ------------------ "The earth is not given to us by our mothers and our fathers, it is borrowed from our children." |
Randall | She corrected some of the major typos in Star Notes. www.star-notes.com ------------------ "To avoid criticism, say nothing, do nothing, be nothing." Aristotle |
NickiG | you say "losted" and complain about grammatical errors in a book, LOL ------------------ I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate? |
balancingflames | Wow, an old post of mine under my old name. Lost and not losted hehe |
NickiG | lol ------------------ I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate? when organic is used to describe food then you know we have come to a dark age in history |
Randall | ------------------ I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be. |
Randall | So, this is your third incarnation? ------------------ I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be. |
balancingflames | I think it is my forth one. I can't remember my 1st name on here. |
balancingflames | Fourth* |
Randall | Well, this is a good one. |
Randall | One of them was a Mod. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark |

Randall | Losted. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark |
