Ayelet | I asked whether i should be a writer or a therapist and got seven swords. Does anyone know what it means? |
VenusDiSirius | A very cool (works on many levels) card, a Mercurial one at that. Is writing a long held desire, and maybe you were thwarted in your pursuit at some point? |
Ayelet | That is very right! How did you know? But i wouldn't blame anybody for that one. |
VenusDiSirius | The suit of swords = thoughts, words... Writing The figure in 7 of Swords takes away 5 Swords, which brings me back (or further up, depending on your perspective) to the story of that card. So I imagine someone getting cut... And now it's like you're staying up late, working on something and "you'll see" buzzing in the back of your mind. Winning by skullduggery. You don't care about facing anyone, aren't doubtful - you're acting instead of waiting (the 2 Swords our figure leaves behind). Or simply you're trying to get on with the decision and taking (dubious) shortcuts. What deck do you use? |
Ayelet | I dlon't know... i used the web. What do you mean by skullduggery and shortcuts? I've been thinking about a certain therapy program which is long and expansive and perhaps a bit impractical... I don't know. Should i "pull" another card for that matter? |
VenusDiSirius | I'd do 2 spreads, each focusing on a different choice; the cards telling you in general, what is that you should know regarding that particular interest. |
Ayelet | Well, i did more than one "draw"... Here are the results: Biosynthesis (kind of physical psychotherapy): The Chariot Social workl: Queen of Wands Psychology: The Sun Other forms of psychotherapy: Eight of Wands Writing: Five of Cups Holistic psychotherapy: DeathI'd love to work as a psychologist, but may not be able to do so for personal reasons. It does not reflect on the card, though (the sun). What do you think? |
Ayelet | And how good is it to "draw" a card on the internet? |
VenusDiSirius | Random website? Just as random deck - not very good, I think. You'd need time to get used to a site; same with new decks. So, this would depend on your experience. |
Ayelet | It is not a random site, but one i am frequently using. Still it is not a real and alive deck. But you didn't tell me what you thought about the cards... |
VenusDiSirius | I imagine that someone like Queen of Wands would be very welcome in social work. The Sun card indeed feels fulfilling. If not as a job, you can always pursue the matter unofficially, reading on the subject and so on. |
Ayelet | Thanks Venusdisirius |
