T O P I C R E V I E WSabineI read somewhere that black will attract dark entities while attending a funeral. I'm wondering if my violet flame will protect me while attending the funeral. I have no idea what my deceased friend's family religion is and what is appropriate. White is appropriate for Asian funeral. My friend is mixed of white and Asian. He committed suicide and this will be my very first funeral. I don't want to offend the family if I don't wear black. And perhaps I might offend them if I do wear black...Anyhow, if I wear all black clothes, how do I psychically protect myself..I will utilize the violet flame but anyone else has any other suggestions and thoughts on this. The funeral is tomorrow. Thanks.hippichickYou dont need to wear black necessarially, just like nobody wears formal clothes to church anymore...Are they Buddhist? If so, their funerals are very elaborate and long, very beautiful, tho. IF they are, I would google and find out, otherwise, Christian, Cahtholic, I would not worry about black, just something demure, and proper.THINK AMISH!!! Funny, I wear black as a manistay in my wardrobe, (Scorp asc) and not to my knowledge do I attract negative energy, but as a Pisces I absorbe all anyway, so I wouldnt know about wearing black.hippichickBTW I would hate to think there are dark entities lurking at a funeral, unless the person was a baddie him/herself anyway. hippichickAnd I apologize for not being more sensitive, my late husband killed himself, and those are never easy funerals to attned.I wore a dark, long floral dress for that.blessins~Randall ------------------"Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca ClarkSabineThanks everyone for your response. The person was highly loved by a lot of people. I don't believe it is a sin if one commit suicide...just choosing to end the lessons or experience sooner which is okay. I felt sad that he was in so much pain that he couldn't talk to anyone about it. I had felt suicidal in my lifetime and had attempted twice--once as a kid and another a few years ago...I was in so much pain. Somehow, my angels didn't want me to go and prevented me from really going. I understand his pain--he lived such a hard life. I think he's an empath and I too absorb people's energy. I've been secluding myself to reenergize myself cause I was feeling nuts. It was really weird to see an open casket. I felt my friend's energy at the funeral. He had touched my neck twice making me wonder what was going on. I was in a lot of tears because I felt his immense pain. I also felt my friend's pain who was much closer to him. Thanks you all for your kind words and no offense taken. Many blessings!hippichickBlessins to ya!When my husband killed himself, everybody was aghast at me not being devestated, (we were going thru a divorce...)Nope me say, I have to respect an individual's decision...It is, most certainly, that the "survivors" of a suicide get the brunt of the pain, the stigmatism, etc.I am happy it was an uplifing experience for you~T RandallGlad it wasn't negative.
