Node | I got into the esoteric arts at a young age. Back then there was an occult section in the libraries. Now they call that section New Age, or sometimes Occult Sciences. One book, that I still have covered everything from Phrenology to palmistry. Over the years Graphology has rarely been discussed save for a a few KFlakes . Now, I know you are out there, so bring it~! One thread, had YFIS and myself musing about forensic graphology. And I have to admit, at this point that fascinates me more. But- here are some do's and don't for what I would like this thread to be about. I stress the word like because once you start a thread it is the people who post replies who ultimately make it what it is. Don't- suggestions: - For obvious security reasons~ Post your signature, prospective SO's, husbands/wives etc.
Do- suggestions:
- Use samples that contain handwriting, as well as signature's.
Signatures are really important, to my mind they are like the Sun in astrology, and a good case could be made for the sig relating to the Ascendant. - Recommend books/websites-
I haven't done a websearch recently, as I remember being very disappointed reading what I found on the web.
http://www.britishgraphology.org/ I found a general link last night that I liked, and didn't bookmark correctly now I can't find it- ------------------ "Never let the weeds get higher than the garden."~ Tom Waits |
Node | I will let someone else choose the first samples. Anyone who swings by GU on occasion knows I am interested in politics. Both M. Romney & B Obama- being public figures- have very interesting sigs. People who sign their name [practically for a living] have worked on it. It says what they want it to say. |

Lei_Kuei | I guess such are personal ideogram's of a sort, any examples of analysis of famous peoples signatures/hand writing? ------------------ ~*~ Did you know that a circle is round? ~*~ - Tautology You can't handle my level of Tinfoil! ~ {;,;} |
juniperb | Node, can you put up the Obama ones in the other forum? ------------------ We dance around the ring and suppose, but the secret sits in the middle and Knows Robert Frost |
Node | Juni, I would prefer to use samples that contain hand writing, as well as a signature. I like to zoom on writing, often using 150%. Believe it or not, there is an Obama font http://morristsai.com/2009/02/barack-obama-handwriting-font.html This sample is from '08. Ideally I would look at 10 years ago or more, pre election, and after election. I would suggest that those interested look at as many samples as you can. Your handwriting varies day to day, from many factors. Training your eye is key. A brief list of what I look at: Pressure slant bottoms of y and g connected or printed loops t-bars dots on i pace- fast or slow margins ruler line or bottom line sig Take a look at the Obama handwriting, what three things do you notice first? What do you think those three things mean? |
Node | I hope Faith finds this thread. |
juniperb | Very first thing that grabbed my eye was the loops on his G`s ------------------ We dance around the ring and suppose, but the secret sits in the middle and Knows Robert Frost |
Node | The O-man is a lefty, as am I. That g is in my writing. Some call it the figure 8, others call it the infinity. Obama's is the figure 8. Creative flexible sexy The style more like the infinity symbol is said to denote analytical or mathematical types. The person might be a little remote. |
Lonake | His t crossed in a triangle indicates persistence. The loop in the h for mind on his faith/spirituality. And the B with the open bottom if I remember correctly indicates money falling out of his hands. The figure 8 g I've heard to indicate emphasis on strong mental bond with partner. |

Heh, the treasury sure are pleased with that B... ------------------ ~*~ Did you know that a circle is round? ~*~ - Tautology You can't handle my level of Tinfoil! ~ {;,;} |
