Hello everyone...

OK-I am looking at my synastry with my bf and we have my Juno conjunct his Venus 0.02 exact...I think it is our most exact synastry in out entire chart!

Now I know that Juno represents the 'wife' and who we are attracted to (similar to Venus) but I am wondering about the rest of the meaning of this conjunction.

Many of you know I follow Magi astrology and they look at this as a major link but not for marriage.....traditional astrology marks DOES believe this link is a major marriage link.

So I am somewhat confused...I believe the link is strong-incredibly so and am trying to gain a better understanding of Juno. Do you know anything that would help me please?

BTW-The second day I met with him, he came out of the blue and introduced me to another person as his WIFE! Is that really bizarre? We both had been hit with this amazing spark the previous day...and both walked away 'knowing' that something special had transpired...I have never had such an awakening before! Please tell me your thoughts on this Juno-Venus conjunction.

Thanks...GemStar

I can offer this for now -

"Juno-

Are you soulmate material? Knowing your Juno Sign may help you understand your ability to form lasting relationships. Long-term partnerships, be they business or personal, friendly or more intimate, are a challenge and Juno provides clues.

Juno, also known as Hera, was the mythological wife of Jupiter, or Zeus. Her influence affects the emotional climate of those relationships that last over the long haul. Do you need independence? Lots of attention? Somebody who’s sensitive to your temperment?

Which kind of partner suits you best? Wise women can check with Juno to identify compatible partners and better understand their own needs in a partnership."

Thanks Astrojunkie...I have googled this aspect and know that there are a few books out there that specifically deal with Juno...the info on the web is moderately general...I appreciate your info!

Maybe someone out there has one of these books and can look it up is possible????

Hi Gem!!!
I found this:
quote:
To most astrologers, Venus is usually known as the Planet of Love (and relationships), but Juno operates as “The Marriage Asteroid” – providing a key to one’s attitudes about love and the type of partner they will choose.
Juno contacts are very important in romantic relationships. Sometimes a conjunction between one person’s Juno and a personal planet or point of the other person helps to show the strong attraction between these individuals that may not be as obvious from the rest of their horoscopes.
Juno conjunct another person’s Sun, Moon, Venus, Juno, Ascendant, Descendant, Node or ruler of the 5th, 7th or 8th houses can be quite powerful!
For example, with Juno conjunct your partner’s Midheaven, you may have a business partnership or work with our spouse. However, if Juno is conjunct your partner’s Venus, intimacy is highlighted and marriage is likely to be in the air.

I bet you already know this, but anyway, have a look: http://www.jupitersweb.com/magi_astrology_aspects.htm

And I found this promising article... The problem is that it is written in something that looks like dutch or flemish... Maybe someone out there can translate it for you...
http://www.mandala.be/rapporten/godinnenrapport2.htm (look at the last paragraph...)

See you in the other thread...

Cool 26T...I have looked and wanted more specific information...more than just the usual "Juno points to the type of mate you want and the type of mate you will get...".

Let me know and of course if I find something interesting-I will post it. Juno is one asteroid that I do not know much about and thought-Wow, if I have such an exact conjunction, I better learn about it!

I like to think that this linkage points us to 'the One', as this is how I feel about my other. His Venus in my 7th and my moon in his 5th and sun in his 4th make me believe that his Venus conjunct my Juno is just another supporting aspect!(And may be the biggest! if I can figure that out! Thanks for your help!)

gemstar, i share a similar aspect in my own relationship - my juno conjuncts my partner's moon in gemini exactly.

i think magi astrology is interesting though the “black and white” nature puts me off. i don’t think it is ever that simple, or that…black and white!

i also don’t think anything can be reduced to “purely sexual” in expression. what does that mean? one night stand? i would never see juno that way, so i’d have to disagree with them there.

juno is about commitment, power, sexuality, the sacred feminine, and much more. with venus, she adds "the relationship principle" to "the pleasure principle". i wouldn’t see it as “detachment” in any way!

when venus is touched, it awakens our values and often our desire to form socially significant relationships. we notice the person right away, especially if we meet in a gathering of people, a social situation.

because it is a synastry contact, we feel like juno is activated all the time the other person is around us. their venus is going to attract us with its beauty, and our juno is going to attract them with its commitment.

what sign is the contact in?

in my case, the contact is in gemini, and so the contact from him on a gut level (moon) may increase my interest in relationships of all kinds and in my capacity to relate. he wakes up my juno … i wake up his moon.

same goes for you, only it's his venus and your juno.

hope this helps ya.

sincerely,
chrissy

Hi Chrissy-Sorry I missed the replies! Oops!

Our Juno-Venus conjunction contact in synastry is in the sign of Taurus!

I too disagree with Magi on the purely 'sexual' meaning of Juno...commitment is a huge part of love and Juno...not just the great sex.

Does this mean then that by my Juno contacting his Venus...he touches my love needs and his contact to my Juno wants commitment in love from me??

Sometimes I get a little confused on the synastry understanding of 'who stimulates what in the Other'. His Venus is located in my 7th house. What exactly does this all mean???

dear gemstar,

i'm sorry i haven't had the time to reply to this sooner.

anyhow, this really great astrologer i know told me once to think of people as permanent transits. i can't stress that enough.

so...this means his venus on your juno is like venus transiting to your juno, all the time you are around him. this makes your juno more venus-like in its expression (when you are around him and this aspect is activated), and his venus more juno-like in its expression. does this make sense?

hope it helps ya!

sincerely,
chrissy

Thank you chrissy...

SO-If my Juno is on his Venus, the idea would be that Juno representing the commitment, marriage, wife etc., is brought out in him...hence, the spontaneous introduction of me as his 'wife' on our second meeting.

AND, his Venus on my Juno would mean that my love feelings are more activiated...ie-I have written him the most intense love letters of ANYONE I have ever been with...the most in depth as well. (As an example of me displaying more 'love'.)

Is this how I am to read it?

BTW-I liked your astologist person who believed that people together were like transits in motion...that makes a lot of sense!

Are you saying all your 'contacts' with your other are oppositions?? That would not be too much fun...

Gotta love emotions though...In my family of all boys (three younger than me) and a very chauvanistic father, emotions are not valued in the least! It is a shame because the coldness of life without them would be unbearable to me!

Soooo true.

Even though I am a male - I do agree, without emotions, we are nothing but a collective group of icemen/women

Hi! Well, I DO know one thing, Juno in Scorpio needs LOTS of sex...like sex-machines!

I will look up some further info...I would imagine since the Juno contact is about commitment, marriage etc...that you both bring out a this aspect in each of you...very serious commitment. And with it being in Scorpio, neither would ever put up with any indiscretions!!

I'll see what I can find..although the information on Juno in synastry is pretty thin...

Hello-

Juno in the 8th house need sex machines for partners and Juno in Taurus need lots of sex to feel nurtured or have a tendancy to nuture with sex. Juno in Scorpio demands that their partners be Good in bed. (thebigeliza) What house is that in? knowing that might tell you more.

HTH!

Hello, Gem!
Do you remember I gave you a link in Dutch? Well, I have a friend from Belgium and I asked her the favour of getting it translated... I hope you find it useful...

quote:
Juno conjunct Venus

Juno, key word for spouse and partner, has similar characteristics than Venus, the goddess of love, ideals and pleasure, Venus the creative woman and mistress, the female archetype that establish relationships with no vulnerability.

This characteristic reinforces the aesthetic and romantic dimensions of a relationship. It is possible that you finds this beauty important in a creative and artistic love relation. You also want a partner to whom you are sexually attractive.

However there is something difficult about it as well. Juno and Venus represent two different approaches of a relation. Juno aims to monogamy strongly , whereas Venus is rather more polygamous. If these two approaches are incorporated and combined in a relationship then you might end up with a passionate and erotic relation with your stable partner.

However if the combination is unfavourable and the energies are not integrated well it is possible that you end up with a satisfactory relation with your stable partner but feeling the need of a romantic relationship outside the one you are in.

That appears as well in the myth of Juno, who was married to Jupiter, who had itself a lot sexual relations outside marriage. This can create jealousy, fear, competition with real or imaginary rivals.

Also the possibilities are that both partners remain faithful, but the relationship is stroked by a lack of sexual development in their intimacy. There might be a difference in tastes, values or preferences. If your partner feels dependent of the relation then the relationship is more appreciated.

Thanks, AJ I´m glad you found that link interesting...

THANK YOU steelrose! That was absolutely appreciated 110%!! Thanks!!

Yes, I went on the web-site and just couldn't read/interpret any of the Dutch...so how wonderful it is to have it translated!! You went above and beyond!!

Thanks...Juno intrigues me and I continue to try and discover all that I can...the asteroids are unique and I feel they have some weight alongside the planets.

Cool...
