I've noticed quite a few knowflakes have this placement in their chart.

I'm really interested to see what these knowflakes think of themselves and what other people think of jup in 1st house people.

So anyone is welcome to add to this post.

I have jup in the 1st myself and it is conj my aries AC. I think I'm quite an outrageous person in reality and have a better than average sense of humour because of this placement. I'm also quite clumsy I try to contain it a lot sometimes, I think people might find me overwhelming - must be the contageous fire.

I have a friend also who is 1st house jup but her jup and asc are in gem. She's a big personality but I don't think she's as overwhelming as me because of her detrimented jupiter and heavy pisces placements (cf me with my ultra-masculine planets). However, her good nature, kindness and generosity shows. She's also travelled heaps too.

So I would love to hear all knowflakes on this topic. Your opinions will be highly appreciated!

Bad day to ask, I have bad P.M.T ~ I am feeling far from Jupiterian.

Anyway, you've seen my chart. Saturn Opposite Jupiter & Neptune is a great reality check to the eternal optimist.

But it is true I am QUITE LOUD.

blue moon - PMT here too.

I'm Jupiter in 1st but I'll tell you about it later.

added: basically, even in this state that I am in, I am laughing by adding humour in my life. And, with Jupiter being In Scorpio in the first house, I would have to say that it is very difficult to get away with standing in my way of what I desire because I am optimistic about it, also I have a lot of will-power so I manifest things into my life through that resolve and mix that with resilience and optimism, it gets difficult for me to stay down for too long.

Right now, I am watching comedy DVDs to cheer me up and it is helping because for me, laughter is truly the best medicine.

Okay, maybe that's all I will say on this for now.

A friend of mine has jupiter exalted in cancer in 1st house.
He is always optimistic, he doesn't get depressed easily but when he does he gets back to being optimistic in just a sec.

Jupiter in 1st house-
but also have saturn square ascendant.
therefore not loud, maybe a little
showy with clothes-but leo is my ascendant.
Because of saturn square ascendant-i can easily become depressed quite often-so maybe saturn takes away some of the benefits of jupiter in the first. I have found myself to have been lucky, which seemed like divine grace a couple of times in my life.

Hi!
I have Jupiter in Cancer conjunct my Cancer moon in the 1st. Gemini Rising. I think my moon-jup conjunction makes my dignified moon even stronger.

I like my Jupiter. I think my Moon overshadows it with chronic moodiness but I tend to be optimistic despite my moods. I love to laugh and am always the first to laugh at something. Even when things aren't funny to others, Im laughing lol.

I am very clumsy. Bump into walls, trip over feet, drop things all the time.
Love to travel and teach. I also have a Sag stellium so hard to tell how Jupiter in Cancer really is.

Oooo...

I have Jupiter in Sagittarius in the 1st. It's not really conjunct my AC, but it's the planet closest to my AC. It's involved in my fire grand trine with Uranus, the Moon, and Mars. It also exactly squares my Sun/MC/Venus and exactly opposes my Chiron.

In me, it is definitely prominent. Although, when I was a kid, I tended more toward my shy Virgo Sun/Scorpio rising side, as I got older, I learned that life is not direly serious and I was in need of a sense of humor.

Fortunately for me, Jupiter gives me a good one. In many ways, it does overshadow other aspects of my personality when I'm out having a good time. I'm not really loud, but I am over the top, and when I was in school, theatre was one of my passions. I can be clumsy, but I can always laugh at my mistakes, and actually, I think this has been one of my saving graces. I'm able to let go of things a lot more easily and even laugh about them, which I think Jupiter helps me with.

Also, I ALWAYS get complimented on my laugh. I get complimented on my laugh almost as much as I get complimented on my eyes (Scorpio stare ya know?). It's the strangest thing. People who don't even know me will tell me that I have a beautiful laugh (so it might be a little loud ), and the people who do know me will know I'm coming when they hear my laugh (which they promptly tease me for). I think that is ruled by my Jupiter in Saggy in the 1st.

Thanks.

I have jupiter in the 1st house in leo. It's intercepted and I never understood if that meant that the planet's energy was repressed. Anyhow, I sometimes like to get attention, but my sun in cancer in 12th house, prefers not to. I am also clumsy and have a good sense of humour and a loud laugh. I studied drama for many years, and really like it.
I'm not very optimistic. I think all the cancer in my chart and 12th house energy is stronger than the jupiter. Basically, I think this placement "saves" me from drowning in all that water.

I've heard that intercepted planets develop over time,
and tend to express themselves mostly in later life.
I have Jupiter intercepted in Leo in the 7th.

one of my best friends is an aries sun with aries ascendant, Jupiter in the 1st in aries. When you first meet her she doesnt come across as a larger than life personality. But she SEEMS very optimisitc and always happy. However, the reality is different. She is lacks self-confidence big time and depression is s.th. she always has to watch out for. Lots of pisces in her chart and chiron 1st.

The other person I know who has Jupiter in the 1st also has it in aries but it's not conjunct his ascendant which is in pisces. He also has a 12th house sun (aquarius) and strong neptune placements. He seems very different in different situations. At some parties he seems like this in your face, here I am, super self-confident personality. Always, smiling, joking. In other situations, I've experienced him as extremely insecure, very shy. He almost seemed to vanish, if that makes sense. He also has chiron in his 1st house.

Yeah funny about the laugh, I've been told I have a nice laugh/smile.

Here is another site for you Jup 1st housers: http://aquariandigest.blogspot.com/2005/08/jupiter-conjunct-ascendant-physical.html

Big cheeks apparently is the way to spot us. I heard that jupiter in pariticular rules or has some big influence on the middle part of our face, so maybe jup 1st houses might have slight equine middle bit...which is true for me

Also my weight oscillates a lot too, I put on a lot of weight during my jupiter return and seem to lose weight when I have jupiter trine jupiter transit. My gem jup friend is the same; normally she is very lean but can put it on when she stops exercise...

PS I couldn't help sharing this with - this is a ring I bought recently and isnt it just so jup in the 1st house?
I never realised it at the time, but it looks to be like a card . I've named my ring (coincidentally -take note mblover) "Casino Royale"

I also have Jupiter in Scorpio in my 1st House. And I have these aspects: Sun Square Jupiter, Jupiter Trine Saturn, Jupiter Trine Ceres, Jupiter Trine POF, Jupiter Opposite Pallas.

Hello everyone. I can't help but express my excitement for finally having an account in this forum. I've read the most useful information and insightful perspectives on here over the past few months. Also, people seem really friendly... And is indeed a "Lindaland" or a benevolent astrology realm that is the most welcoming in my view.
Looking forward to April when I'll have more time to read the different topics and contribute to them with what I can.

With regard to the topic, I have Jupiter in the first conjunct my Ascendant, but also Pluto there.
My mother is an astrologer and keeps saying how she "knows" when to give birth (she didn't plan it), but emphasizes on what a good position this is...
Do you all retain optimistic outlook no matter what?

I have a friend with this placement and she has a smile on her face 24/7 even when she's sad or doesn't want to smile. It's hilarious Once the teacher asked her to leave the class because she thought that my friend was making fun of her lol.
