Much has been made of the present Libra Transits, which, I suspect, will really make themselves felt when Venus joins the parade on the 28th..... but what about Scorpio? No doubt, when planets transit Scorpio, the effects are not likely to be quite so "lovely", as when they transit Libra,
but, I would imagine they might involve changes of even greater and farther reaching significance.

Would anybody care to wager an educated guess as to what we can possibly expect over the next few months?

I'm clueless as to why the Libra transits have had such a bad effect. As for Scorpio, it would depend on one's Natal, it works for me.

Things might lighten up a bit, actually, when Venus moves out of Virgo. Libra is a Venusian sign, and so that transit will be more "dignified" in astrospeak. Right now, it's helping Cancer Saturn keep a dampered mood of things, I strongly suspect. When Venus moves into Libra, I doubt life will get easier - it's yet another square with Saturn - but the stresses will shift and Venus has the upperhand hand slightly here, being in Libra.

However, once Venus goes into Libra, the Sun will already be in Scorpio, followed shortly by Mercury, and then Mars. It'll be interesting. Libra Mercury probably hasn't be a big source of serious problems, aside from making us all a little more emotive (and perhaps whiny) and indecisive/vague in our communications, but Libra Mars may have been - this is a lazy, self-indulgent, easily put-off placement for Mars. It probably hasn't handle the stress from that Saturn transit very well, which would be making it work harder than any Libra Mars would like. Mars squared Saturn is harsh, and with both in cardinal signs, it's like an ugly standoff - I suspect this square has a lot to do with the strange deaths and festering illnesses that be going around (Cancerian influence, no doubt, especially re: lingering illnesses and infectious disease).

I doubt Scorpio Mars will that much better - this is an erratic, emotional, impulsive, easily angered placement for Mars. It'll fair better with a Cancer Saturn than Libra, but expect people affected by a Scorpio transit (especially Scorp Suns and moons) to be more rash, more irrational, more stubborn, more jealous and more likely to be carrying firearms than usual (except for maybe Pisceans, who'll probably be crying more than usual).

One thing that should be pointed out about these upcoming Scorpio transits is, with Venus in lovey-dovey, partner-seeking Libra, and Mars in emotional, rash, and potentially vindicative Scorpio, the chances of people cheating on their partners as well as irresponsible, impulsive, and needy sexual behavior increases. Try to behave, you guys. And if your partner happens to cheats on you, resist the urge to grab the nearest loaded firearm and do something a Scorpio would do. With Cancer Saturn hanging around, the chances are they'll throw the book at you.

Having just said that, try not to be paranoid during these Scorpio transits either. That won't help anything.

Healthwise, Scorpio makes things erratic, so we'll need to try to keep ourselves healthy, rested and stable. Take care of health issues as quickly as possible - Scorpio transits can make bad things turn into much worse things overnight. If you are currently taking meds, especially for depression, bipolar, or anxiety, be very sure to take it everyday as prescribed and keep your medicinal intake as constant and regular as possible. If you wish to stop smoking or drinking caffiene in the near future, this would not be a very easy time to do so, andyou're better off starting right now. Try to avoid excessive alcohol intake and pretty much any nonprescribed drugs during these transits too (particularly recreational and illicit drugs!). Whatever happens healthwise, don't except consistancy from Scorpio. Some of us may feel more energized, while others may feel fragile, nervous and drained. Some of us may yo-yo through the entire phase. Either way, this wouldn't be a good time for anyone to overextert themselves.

I wish to stress that certain recreational drugs that are believed more dangerous under Scorpio's influence, due to Scorpio's erratic and intense effects on our mood and the realted brain chemistry (specifically seratonin and dopamine level). Stimulants, narcotics and mood-altering drugs like ecstasy are likely to be more potent under intense Scorpio influence, and thus also more addictive, more harmful and possibly more deadly. Please be careful. (And save the hallucinogens for groovy Pisces transits later on downt he road )

One thing though is one shouldn't be afraid of conceiving, being pregnant or giving birth during these Scorpio transits - Scorpio, for it's very noteworthy darkside, is normally friendly to childbearing, because of it's planet, Pluto, rules not just death, but also rebirth and the continuation of the life cycle. Also Saturn in Cancer, despite being a headache in every other way, is a very "protective" transit for children (also, that Libra Jupiter is a bit lucky in the childbearing/rearing department too). Likewise, deaths during this time more than likely will be easy and peaceful (unless involving a cheating partner and a loaded firearm), even if they are just as sudden and strange as those during the Libra transits.

Also on the good side, Scorpio transits can be carthetic and highly creative, if you don't get sucked into Scorpio's vicious cycle of jealousy, ego-drama, and obsessiveness. Those who tend to be emotionally reserved or feel their creativity has been stifled lately may feel this time as a chance to open up a bit more. Highly creative people, especially Pisceans, should find this time a little "magical" and inspired, even if couple with a few personal challenges. New romances have a bit of boost from Scorpio's magic too, and older romances may rekindle a little fire.

Anyhow, about the here and now, there's no reason to completely phooey all these tough Libra transits just yet - like I said before, because of this tough square with oppressive, restrictive Saturn, the good things may take a little longer to manifest and for you to notice them. Cardinal sign squares indicate challenges that intiate things, begin new paths or take us to the next level, but not with out a little sweat, and perhaps a little blood and tears thrown in too. Add to that we just had a New Moon with a Solar Eclipse - a big indicator that our lives are mostl likely undergoing a change or shift, even if we don't see that yet. Be sure not to wallow in pessisism right now and to count your blessings - you may overlook positive developments in your life that will be manifesting and can be taken advantage of over the next month.

Hang in there, guys.

Yeah, the Scorpio influence is good for romance - A COMPOSITE Pisces Rising does feel the magic. It goes on girl.

Scorpio can definitely be a plus for many romances in the month or so, especially with a Libra Venus - hell, I wouldn't be surprised if we all turned into love-lorn sl*t puppies in the coming weeks. Just be mindful of two things regarding to upcoming Scorp transits:

1. Grandfatherly Saturn in maternal Cancer is watching, so the fire may be a little tamer than usual with other Scorpio influences. However, don't waste time pining for anything more - just take what action you can get.

2. If you can't be with the one you love, resist the urge to love the one you're with. If you give in the Libra Venus-Scorpio Mars love trap, there's a very good chance your partner's off giving into Scorpio Mars's jealous and paranoid darkside.

Oh yes, I forget to mention - Scorpio transits can heighten psychic tendencies in many people, particulerly those with water moons. Aside from possibly being able to channel your greatgrandmother, this too can help with romance by strengthing your spiritual/psychic bond with your partner.

Oops...need to correct myself again. Mercury is already in Scorpio! I need to highlight this year on my ephemeris or something - I keep glancing at the wrong year. LOL.

Rows and rows of tiny letter and numbers - it's easy to screw up.

So, for example, with me having Natal Saturn in Cancer (Can you say, slap me upside the head repeatedly just a few weeks ago?!?) and Natal Merc/Nep in Libra and Sun/Mars/Venus in Scorpio, that I'm going to have fun in the next few weeks, or am I going to continue to dig deeper my already well dug underground nuclear bomb shelter??

I really do have a sense of humor...

Well, it's hard to say, really. Where's you're moon? Scorpio transits will try their's d^mnedest to mess with anyone's moon, but especially water moons, followed by fire moons. Air moons might fair OK, and earth moons might not notice much change at all. For some this will be a good change of pace; for others, they might wish to invest in an overnight teeth guard to prevent grinding their teeth away in their sleep. Either way, we'll all going to get a little batty before it's all over with, I predict.

I doubt life for you with those placements will change too dramatically, but it might be easier for you to crawl out your bomb shelter and enjoy a bit of sun and cool autumn air. At least with a Scorpio Sun, you should have more a feeling of the world being in your "element," even if things still seem challenging.

Well - HOWDY partn'a

You know what? If anyone wants to note this as a possible connection to the Lost Continent of Atlantis, go right ahead, in terms of the frequency we've been dealing with since Hurricane #1. Not to be the harborer of bad news, don't shoot the messenger! - but - I honestly question what people's motives are these days.

Who wants to go backpacking?

GN-
My moon is Leo. There's the fire. Literally. I guess I'm being silly by imposing myself in this thread... considering this is my Natal Saturn to transiting Saturn year, it's felt like a doozie these past few months. That is the main reason why I'm exploring astrology deeper. And just the THOUGHT of anything feeling more intense is making me groan! Atleast it WILL be in my sun, so I'm at home w/this action.
Thanks for the information!

AJ - I think right now is a very wise time to question anyone's motives. I've noticed, however, that I'm groovin' along here with today's Scorp moon, everyone else is still getting on my nerves as they have been for the past two weeks, mostly with idoicy (and what's up with all the people driving in the middle of the road and just generally being in other people's way, be it in traffic, at the grocery store, at work, etc??? Anyone else noticing that? ).

All this talk about Libra transits and Saturn has made a lot of us to neglect/forget some other strange tranists right now: Uranus in Pisces, Neptune in Aquarius, and Pluto in Sag. I think the mutual reception between current Uranus and Neptune tranists would suggest we all need to doublecheck and rethink our own motives and be careful of others' motives, and the Sag Pluto may be making some of us a little impulsive on a subconscious level sporatically through our day. Having both Uranus and Pluto in mutable signs during all of this Saturn vs. the Universe stuff can't have helped - neither Pisces or Sag handles stress from other aspects well, and they're squared one each other to boot. Since these outer tranists will be with us for a while yet, expect more strangeness and things simply not planning out as expected.

Scot - With a Leo moon...boy oh boy. Scorp is squared Leo, but at least its a square you're familiar with as it's in your natal chart. However, there'll be stresses, for sure, but I predict that you may catch a break in the coming weeks, probably in your social interactions. Why? Because you just can't tie a Leo moon down for long, especially with Sag transits hovering on the horizons, and with Venus and Jupiter both in sociable Libra - quite agreeable with Leo moons - luck and opportunities will most likely be in your social life.

However, if your job situation isn't so hot right now, don't expect that to change to much...and don't let you fire moon distact you from what you need to do workwise, because in two or so months, these transits well be coming around to Capricorn, focusing energies on our area of work, and which will...let's just say, if you think the current Saturn influence sucks now, just wait until the Sun goes into Cap, Saturn's sign and opposing Cancer. (People who suffer from S.A.D. should take note and make sure they get their prescriptions refilled. It looks like it'll be a rough holiday season for many people. Also don't expect the ecomony to be so great either. It'll be a good idea to pass on buying expensive gifts and expensive travel arrangements as well.)

Thanks GN for the information. I DO feel as though I've been having it rough, but not so much in the work sphere as I have had it socially. Not enough of me to go around... but I am SO much better about saying *NO* to situations I don't want to be involved in. Work? Work's work. It's already a rough job.

Peace!

Hi there GN,
How's an Aries Sun/Merc with a Pisces Moon/Venus/Jupiter, Mars in Gemini and Virgo Ascendant going to fare? With all that Mars/Water influence? Uh-oh, I foresee intensified emotions. Everything becoming more of a big deal and more dramatic than usual.
What about my DH, with a Scorpio Ascendant? He's been waiting on a job offer a while now. Curiously, though, a job offer from another quarter may be on hand, though it is totally different from the line of work he has intended to pursue.
