I started reading a book in Barnes & Noble over the weekend about how Jupiter holds the key to luck and success. By tapping into the traits of whatever sign Jupiter is in we can find luck and accomplishment.

My Jupiter is in Capricorn. It said a long bout of hard work is my path to the good graces Jupiter provides. Preparation, organization and determination are the keys to my success.

My Sun and NN are also in Cap, so of course this resonates with me.

Anyone else read about this? Thoughts?

Well, by the general interpretation I found in the book, it means that you will find yourself fortunate when you think outside of the box (Aquarian), and when you're forward-looking (Aquarian), humanitarian (Aquarian), and in the service of others perhaps in the medical field(6th house).

Has this been the case for you in the past?

Gah!
I just read this really interesting article by Steven Forrest on Jupiter - and now I can't find it!

(I did find these other cool articles, though... http://www.innerself.com/Astrology/male_female_10242.htm http://www.innerself.com/Astrology/fate_freedom.htm )

If anyone can find the former, I'd be most appreciative.

Hey AG

I have Jupiter at the same degree as my MC - 15 degrees Gemini - and also conjunct my Sun 19.5 degrees Gemini. I do feel the influence of Jupiter in my life. I dream large dreams, however, my aim is to make them a reality. I have an avid interest in communicating and writing.

More importantly, throughout my life, I have been quite restless in my pursuit of knowledge. I've always been thirsting for more, never content with what I have, always looking for expansion and growth. Recently, my aims have become more solidifed in my mind, and I have a better idea where I am going. Its almost like Jupiter has said 'Restless searching over, now is the time to communicate what you have'. I still have an inner feeling that I do not know enough, or that my knowledge is insufficient in some way, that I should learn and seek more, but the feeling is beginning to settle for the first time in my life.

And strangely, throughout my whole life I have always said to people "there is a better, more creative way of seeing this" - typical of my Gemini Jupiter. I'm pretty sure that I will learn and grow through Jupiter by communicating (via writing) with others.

Is it the book by an Author name Madilyn something or other? I think the title is Jupiter Signs and has a red cover.

I have that book and it seems to hold true for me. I have Jupiter in Scorpio in the 2nd house. Jupiter rules my Sun and Pluto conjuncts my Ascendant in the 1st house ( I also have Neptune in Scorpio - so Scorp seems to play a significant role in my life).

I do find that information and digging into things comes easy to me. I am incredibly suspicious at times and when I set my sights on something that I feel needs to be investigated, there is almost nothing I won't find out.

It is also true, that like Pluto, there are times when everything has to go to hell first and then out of the ashes things begin to regenerate and usually 10 times better than what they had been before. BUT... I HAVE to go through that horrible despair phase, where almost everything seems lost before the transformation begins.

My guy has Jupiter in Aquarius, but I haven't explored that yet. I am still working on what to do with his Venus in Virgo LOL...

AG - My jupiter's in capricorn as well, and I remember reading the same thing, that success would come from organization, hard work, and perseverence and not to expect too much as far as luck is concerned. Depending on which astrologer did the interpretation, some make it out to be "better" but others say it's "worse". Hasn't given me a better idea about it as of yet.

Betelgeuse - I have a sun conj jupiter aspect as well and feel exactly the same way, that "I have to know more" although it never stops or subsides. I'm really glad it's started to settle down somewhat for you.

AG ~

What is the book -- Madalyn Aslan??

BG ~

I also have Jupiter in Gemini, but retrograde in XI. I don't have a good feel for how that plays out in my chart and life. But Jupiter trines my Sun and squares my Moon by less than a degree, so these three musketeers are in it together

As my nSun resides in Libra in the 3rd house, the collection of knowledge is just about my #1 priority, pastime and pursuit -- along with Communication, which is the Breath of Life for me

Was it by Madalyn Aslan (a changed name if I ever heard one)?

Not as far as I call tell so far. I went to amazon.com and looked up her books and the covers didn't look right. I also did a search in one of those books, and it didn't look like the book I was reading.

But then I found this: http://www.enotalone.com/article/5073.html

The excerpt on this page is definitely from the book, so maybe it's an updated version of this book. I don't really remember it having that cover.

It was really interesting, though.

For those who asked about their placements, whatever interpretation you have of your Jupiter is probably right. This book just puts the spotlight on it. I didn't buy the book, so I can't give specifics.

The basic premise once again is that whenever you act like the sign your Jupiter is in you'll find luck and wealth and prosperity, etc. The book doesn't talk about the houses, but I'm sure they play their part as usual.

What's interesting is to reflect on times when you've been lucky or prosperous or whatever. Were you acting like the sign your Jupiter is in?

The last time I was being consistently successful, now that I think about it, was when I was acting very Capricornian. I was prepared, organized, self-possessed and disciplined. It was a very positive time for me.

My Jupiter is in Sagittarius. Good! So I’ll continue to be abrasive with too much energy jk honesty is definitely the best policy…but Jupiter is receiving a square from my Sun. I doubt my fish Sun enjoys the idea of honesty even if it hurts someone…*conflict*

oh and to make things worse, Jupiter is tightly conj Uranus
