Hi everyone,

I would like to study Astrology via online course from England and it seems, that you have to be good at Maths to work out Birth Charts. Could anybody give me feedback as to confirm if one would need a good knowledge of Maths for said subject. To tell you the truth, Maths was not one of my best subjects.

yes and no
with computers doing all the work, there is your math.
You do need to recognize aspects (number of degrees between planets)
that comes with experience.

Thanks Lalalinda - it makes me feel secure to know that if I study Astrology, it will not be as difficult as I had imagined.

Have you been studying Astrology for a while. I read alot of Birth Charts to gain insight into same.

Aries,

While you do not need to know math to DO astrology, many CERTIFICATIONS require being able to hand calculate a chart, which requires a LOT of math. The math is pretty simple, but there are a lot of steps and tables to use, which can get confusing. Unless you feel the need to show off a piece of paper to the world, my opinion is that you can do perfectly fine astrology without doing charts by hand.

The Maths side does not sound so scary after all. My only problem, is that I study same, would I need to buy certain astrology books for back up. Thanks again.
