I have a good male friend with this placement....hes extremely emotional and extremely complex, hes very manipulative and cunning.....

Objectively, I'd say this placement plays a strong emphasis on the self and on emotions.....this person is very passionate, even obsessive, and also secretive....they love attention and are quite the ham, but will not be mocked at all, their affections might be hard to read, and they are usually coimmitted lovers, depending on mars/venus, definitely a focused individual

Noel Tyl writes:
Sun in Scorpio/Moon in Leo - Two Fixed signs, a square: the strength of the personality is in fixed opinions, fixed emotions and a strength of purpose...the danger is that the emotional dimension will run away with the personality and dramatize only a low-level portion of the Self's needs. Very high standards are set for others, and adherence is exacted from them. Sensationalism is always just around the corner. The developmental tension is resolved when the complex ideologies of life conduct are altered to relax expectations of others and broaden service of Self.

Grant Lewi writes:
You have a strong, positive personality; fixed opinions and emotions; great stability of purpose; and if you do not let yourself live on the strictly emotional side of your nature - which is very strong - you are capable of becoming a person of considerable influence and importance. The danger of your nature comes from emotional involvement; you are strongly impressed by romantic considerations, and you can take up all your energy dreaming and thinking about the far away and long ago, or above love in some manifestation or other. You are, with respect to love, somewhat idealistic, but with a realistic approach to matters of sex; you are no prude, though you give, and expect in return, loyalty and fidelity. You have a very complex ideology of life, not all of it too realistic; for emotional disappointments and frustrations have driven you to ideals, concepts and abstractions of philosophy which seem visionary to more practical people. Nonetheless, you find a lot of satisfaction in your dreams, your only danger being that they will absorb you too completely. Few people can live up to the high standards you set for them; and even when you are swept off your feet by anger, romance, hatred, jealousy, or revenge, you maintain the idea that you are really an idealist, and that your temporary lapse isn't you at all. This is all right, if the lapses don't become habitual; but you have to hold yourself very strongly in leash, so that the Old Adam in you doesn't beat down the Regenerate Man. You can be of the earth earthy; and sensationalism can gain a tremendous hold on you if you are not careful. It is to combat this tendency, of which you are conscious (or subconscious) that you have built up your complex system of ideals.

Pretty heavy!

I'm a scorpio sun, Leo moon and I would admit we do like talking about ourselves because we do not want to engage in talk about other people and reveal what we have noticed because you may not like the truth. Even in talking about ourselves we are indirectly talking about you or whoever. I do not know too much about my Leo side but I've read that we are very opinionated and take personal offense to injustice. I think this is because we are naturally able to manipulate and if it isnt used for bad, it is a consious decision. So due to our unrealistic expectations of others, we presume when they they manipulate it is also a conscious and evil decision and therefore prepare our stingers. We are also extremely patient in revenge also and if we feel karma hasn't paid the individual, we are very likely to give karma a push unconsciously.

We are people who cannot pretend and when a person is genuine we would take an inmediate shine to them. Once they have gained our trust, we are 100% loyal until disloyalty is shown. When a scorpio doesn't want to be your friend anymore, they would probably look for disloyalty, and if they find it they'll drop you like a bad habit.

All in all, I would say these characters are worth the mystery. I might be biased, but I can honestly say once we are evolved, we wouldn't hurt a friend or stranger even if we had to take a hit in the process.

My best friend has a Leo moon and a Scorpio Sun. But she's also a late October baby, and that makes a difference in presentation of the sun sign, IMO.

She's bright, cheery, has a sunshine (Leo) smile, likes to be the center of attention, performs music, is outgoing, can't be alone too long...that Leo moon definitely can dilute the darker qualities of the Scorpio sun.

Oh, and with two fixed signs, very stubborn. But so am I.

Your friend seems like a nice person. What is her rising sign?

Does the Leo moon make you readier to share your feelings than other Scorp suns? Also, how do you guys handle/show jealousy? There's one I know, who makes a lot of taunting remarks (in a light vein, to pass them off as jokes), but won't admit that something bothered him. I can *feel* his displeasure but I don't know how to dispel it. And do you try to make the other person jealous in turn?

I once dated a scorpio sun/leo moon guy. He was very sunny and cheerful and upbeat, but he also had a dark side to him. He could be very cunning and manipulative and tell lies with a straight face. He was a real cheater and had a bit of a narcissistic personality. I'm not sure if he was a complete sociopath, but he definitely had some characteristics that I could describe as such. I'm not sure how much he remembered of our relationship because apparently scorpios never forget anything they perceive as "wronging" them (even though wronging him in this case was when I stood up to his bulls*** when he was too selfish), but all I remember of him was someone who was petty and vindictive. He always had to "outwit" people verbally and I know situations where he deliberately liked to cruelly play with girls' emotions and torture them by making fun of them and trying to make them feel worthless. For instance there was one girl who felt she was fat after something that was said (even though that wasn't his initial intention), but once she told him how it upset her, for months afterwards (yes, for months. That's how sad he was) he taunted her and told her that she looked fat in her photos, even though the girl was in reality quite thin, and he knew so. It was fun and pleasurable for him to play with her like that. I should have taken THAT as a red flag back then but I was young and stupid. Not saying all of his combination are like that, but he's someone I'd avoid like the plaaaaaaaague.

I second this. They tend to be pretty black-or-white with most things. They have a strong presence actually, even if they are quiet. They may be secretive but I feel that they are not as good at concealing emotions, b/c Leo Moons have a tendency to be dramatic, so one way or another they will need to put whatever they are feeling or thinking on display. They are somewhat manipulative too..Perhaps b/c Leo will always want what it wants, and Scorpio will find a way to manifest that no matter what.

My SO is a Scorp sun and Leo moon.
The focus on self and emotions part is definitely an on-point description. It is very important to him that he works out with a routine and working hard to quit smoking, and when one of those aren't going well for him, he kinda spirals down this emotional tunnel that's not very pleasant, or as he says "is no good for him". He is definitely VERY self aware.

They are also extremely sensitive souls. When angry/upset/frustrated they do roar pretty loud and it can startle just about anyone.
