Venusian Love -

I don't know if you have any definitions of what the Par Fortune is about. Did you need one?

In general, the PF indicates good fortune in money, sort of a luck factor in the sense that it has sort of happens when you least expect it. It doesn't really say whether your not you will HAVE good fortune, but some may be more challenging than others. Mark it down to a life wherein money is not good enough to make you crazy.

I wasn't sure if you were wondering how your Sun/Merc plays into it because they are all 3 in the same Sign, or because you needed individual interps for those 2 in and by themselves.

Sun in Gemini

(The Sun is in Gemini from approximately May 21 to June 20, depending on the year).
With the Sun in Gemini, the urge for self-expression is strong. These natives are often just as interested in collecting information as they are in sharing it. Curious to a fault, Geminis have a finger in every pie.

Solar Geminis are flexible and changeable people. Their ability to adapt quickly to new situations generally gains them plenty of friends and social contacts. Usually quite clever and witty, Geminis enjoy intellectual conversations and they are easily bored if they are not getting enough mental stimulation.

Often quite adept at fitting in with others, Geminis easily adopt the moods of those around them. They are friends to people from all walks of life, and are not easily intimidated. Their ability to detach themselves can make Geminis very objective and observant, but a little difficult to get close to. Although they often have many friends, intimacy doesn't come as easily to Solar Geminis.

It can be difficult to know what Gemini really feels at any given moment. They are often very impressionable and scattered. There is usually a nervous air to Geminis that can make more personal characters a little uneasy. It is not always intuitive to trust Geminis to be loyal or to keep secrets.

Geminis often flit about, moving quickly and keeping busy every step of the way. Many people with this position of the Sun have gained quite a bit of knowledge in their lifetimes, but they don't often possess specialized knowledge. This is because Geminis have relatively short attention spans. Restlessness is especially common with this position of the Sun.

Usually quite affable, Geminis enjoy the "light" side of life. This tendency to take things lightly makes them quite pleasing to be around; but it can be maddening to people seeking support on the deeper issues in life.

Geminis are both interesting and interested. Their wit can be dazzling and their changeability dizzying. At the very least, Geminis will seldom bore you.

Mercury in Gemini

Mercury in Gemini people are generally quick-witted. They can come across as somewhat scattered, and this is mainly due to their eclectic interests. They seem to know a little about everything.
Turn to Mercury in Gemini men and women for lots of facts and figures as well as broad knowledge. Their learning is a little superficial—they generally have too many interests to delve too deeply into any one.

These natives learn best in a stimulating environment. They get bored easily, but they are fast learners. Impressionable to a fault, Mercury in Gemini people pick up more from their environment than most, and they can process information at lightning speed! The restlessness of Gemini is especially obvious when Mercury is placed in the sign. There is a nervous energy here that is unmistakable.

Although Gemini is a fairly open-minded sign, there is often a bias towards logic. Unless Mercury forms an aspect with the Moon in the birth chart, Mercury in Gemini natives don't always rely on intuition, nor do they take into account the world of emotion in their decision-making processes. In this sense, they can come across as a little too intellectual or just plain logical. The lack of heart behind what they say and think can be frustrating to more personal communicators.

Although Mercury in Gemini people are generally interested and interesting speakers, they can also be quite detached, easily discarding or ignoring more personal issues. They don't get attached to their opinions and ideas for too long, and the result is a changeability and coolness that can be frustrating to others. On the other hand, their curiosity and willingness to adapt to the environment around them often endears them to others. Because they possess versatile minds, you won't have much of a problem convincing them to change their minds.

Mercury in Gemini natives can be smooth talkers, even a little deceptive, although this is generally not with cruel intent. It's done, usually, with a sense of humor. In fact, it's more of a mental exercise than anything. They are able to quickly spot human weaknesses and then play around with them.

Decision-making is generally done quickly and competently. They have fun with words, they are good on the phone, and they make engaging speakers. They communicate with a strong sense of fun, and they can "speak to" people from all walks of life with equal ease.

Mercury in Gemini natives often possess presence of mind and will generally impress you with their wit. For the most part, it is unlikely these people will bore you!

The Sun in Gemini: tends to make a person restless. I did a horoscope reading once for a man with many placements in that sign, including his Sun and Rising Sign. I had to go to the computer for a moment to run off an extra chart, so I asked him (half jokingly) "Do you want something to read"? He said no, he was fine. It couldn’t have been more than 5 seconds later though, that he asked me if he could use the phone. Gemini Sun Sign HAS to have communications.

Mercury in Gemini: is at home here. The mind tends to be quick and the ability to communicate is definitely superior. The negative side is a tendency to be superficial, but this can be counteracted by an aspect of Mercury to Saturn.

Sun in the Twelfth House: Back in 1978, I spent five days in the hospital. Being a good Capricorn Sun sign, I didn’t want to waste any time, so I did the charts of everyone on the staff. Without exception, all the people on the "graveyard shift" (11 at night to 7 in the morning) had the Sun in the twelfth house. This placement makes you a night person. Early morning for you is a good time to go to sleep. And, as you can see from the above example, it can incline to work in places of restriction, such as hospitals. There may also be tendencies towards artistic occupations, but the rest of the horoscope, especially the tenth house, has to be examined before firm conclusions are reached.

Mercury in the Twelfth House: may be someone who hides heir intellect.

Keys to the Interpretation of the Part of Fortune:
As noted above, the Part of Fortune points to innate talents that set us on a path to worldly success.
First look to any planets or points that are tightly conjunct or opposite the Part of Fortune as significators of vocation, career, and natural talents--keys to success.
Second, determine the ruling planet of the sign of the Part of Fortune, and consider that planet as another significator.
Consider the sign and house placement of the Part of Fortune as qualities and areas of life where we possess natural and innate talents or abilities, and that can be considered keys to worldly success and prosperity.
Look to any planets or points posited in the same sign as the Part of Fortune, whether or not they are conjunct the point. These will also play a role in our profession.

Traditionally, the Part of Fortune indicates the area in the horoscope where the owner of the horoscope feels that "good fortune" is smiling on him. To some, "good fortune" means that money abounds, to others it means public recognition and acclaim, and to others, it means love, good health, and good luck. The clue, according to tradition, to the personal interpretation of "good fortune" lies in the sign and house placement of the Part of Fortune.

PART OF FORTUNE IN THE TWELFTH HOUSE:

The person with his Part of Fortune in the twelfth house has a unique opportunity to transform or dissolve his own Karma. This is a person who has mediumistic talents and the gift of prophecy. His dreams often give him answers. His flair for spirituality, mysticism, illusion, and fantasy can be productive in film, television, and works of fiction. Though he may not know it when it happens, his enemies will frequently change their attitude from hostility to neutrality, and sometimes even to benevolence. He is generally unaware of his good fortune. The person with his Part of Fortune in the twelfth house is treated well by health-care professionals.

The Part of Fortune's meaning, just like a planet's meaning, is sensitive to house placement, as just shown. It is also sensitive, just like a planet is, to the sign of the zodiac in which it finds itself. In a future article, as we continue our investigation of the meanings of the Part of Fortune, we will look at the Part of Fortune in each of the twelve signs.

Part of Fortune in GEMINI: The characteristic style of Gemini is to reach out and communicate. The person with the Part of Fortune in Gemini uses his communication skills and his ability to learn as he pursues happiness and success.

In Gemini
Your joy is found in indulging your curiosity and the resulting expansion of your consciousness. Cultivate versatility, flexibility and freedom of movement. You may be gifted with a unique sense of humor. Living fully in the moment, undaunted by the burden of judgment, you know the joy of being carefree.

12th House
Your joy is derived from a loving relationship with your inner self and sense of unity with All. You need periods of solitude and a sanctuary you can call your own. Periods of solitude or meditation sustain your ability to function in the 'everyday world' while staying aligned with the flow of the All. You are able to see clearly the separate parts without losing sight of the whole. Cultivate compassion and forgiveness. Your great fortune is in the realization that wherever you are, you are always home.

If you are interested in a book on the subject, Martin Schulman has one called the "Joy and the Part of Fortune". It's Volume 3 in his Karmic book series.

Sun and the Part of Fortune: When you see a horoscope where the Sun is conjunct the Part of Fortune, remember how we arrive at the Part of Fortune. The Ascendant and the Moon and the Sun itself combine to show us where the avenue to happiness, success, and sheer joy is located. We look to the house, we look to the sign, and now we look to the planet to tell us more. When the Sun is conjunct the Part of Fortune, the person can shine with his whole being in response to the solar illumination.

Mercury and the Part of Fortune: If Mercury is with the Part of Fortune, this person will use his mental faculties and an intellectual approach in finding his happiness and success. He will also find it extremely easy to communicate, either in speech or writing.
