Does anyone have any experience dealing with people that have a tight venus square mars natal? If so are they faithful? Selfish? Sneaky? Kind of curious to hear everyones take on this placement.

Harsh.

Venus Square Mars is part of a t-square on my chart. I'm sure I'm as capable of being selfish as anyone, but I don't get accused of it very often so my efforts must be working.

As for being faithful, well, in my humble opinion an emotionally mature adult would conduct themselves according to what their partner feels comfortable with and expects of them. Not knowing what that is suggests a communication problem, not a moral one. But, that's just my view.

Like any tense aspect this one can be channelled into positive use or abused negatively. It gets easier with age.

Nothing on an astrology chart excuses anyone from behaving like an @rsehole, and this is aspect is no exception. Fair enough this one might make resisting temptation a struggle because you are tempted in the first place. But it doesn't deny self-control and free will. Neither does it deny the chance to be unselfish, upfront and faithful in a relationship.

My mars in Taurus squares my venus in Cappy. No I'm not selfish, sneaky or unfaithful. I think I have communication problem. I don't always get my love across to my partners. Sometimes I feel my action/words doesn't reflect what I want to show them, how I care for them, love them etc...My Mercury doesn't have any hard aspect so I think this is it. Saturn may play a part too but it's impossible to have hard Saturn aspect to everyone.

*Sigh*

Sorry, it is early here and that was badly put. What I meant was, if your partner expects you to be faithful to them then that is the way you should aim to behave. But if this hasn't been discussed and their views don't adhere to this standard then the chances of expectations clashing could occur.

And as triplepisces has alluded, this aspect can be more about relating to other people than sexual behaviour. Mars is assertive, Venus wants to be loved ~ where's there's a clash there's a learning lesson.

Hi Blue Moon No apologies necessary. I totally agree with what you are saying and was actually hoping to hear a response along the lines of yours and Triplepisces. I have had a few experiences with others that have this aspect. The first person was/is extremely selfish and very unfaithful. The second person was/is faithful but secretive and selfish (I also realize that other aspects affect a person but I'm looking at Venus square Mars being the most exact) With the third person, he is the nicest guy you could meet but in the past had a very hard time resisting temptation (unfaithful- married for 10 years) he is Venus square Mars at.06 degrees. I've read other threads where the opinions haven't been as objective so your answers give me hope.

Scorpio Venus (14 degrees) squared by Leo Mars (16 degrees). I am very faithful, loyal, etc due to the fixity of the square. However, my challenge is how do I balance myself in a relationship (i.e. when is it necessary to sympathy or aggression in a situation?) It takes a lot of effort to be in a relationship for me, period.

I have Venus square Mars in mutable signs, but the orb is 8 degrees. I've never cheated on anyone, though I've been tempted.

My boyfriend has this aspect in fixed signs with an orb of 3 degrees. He cheated on his last girlfriend...

Never cheated, never been tempted to.
I think betraying intimacy is the worst we can do to others, only murder or serious physical injury can match that.
Besides, it's atrociously unhygienic.

EDIT: forgot to add, and to ourselves, I also have an ego problem with cheating, I think it lessens our depth and potential for reliability. If you cheat, you become a cheater... if I had to rank my reasons not to I'd say 1) basic empathy 2) hygiene and 3) ego, though you could say 1 and 3 are linked as I also do not want to be the kind of ******* who cheats or murders of embezzles... others.
