Hi all ^_^ I was trying to find some more info about T-squares around, but I find it hard to understand them..
They are very difficult aspects for either in a natal chart or synastry..
In my natal chart, I have a major T-square, involving Mars (9th house Taurus), Jupiter (6th house Aquarius) and Pluto (3rd house Scorpio).. In synastry, I often find my synastry chart with other people (friends, family, bf, etc.) have some t-squares involving my Mars and Jupiter, and also my Sun and Neptune (as they are in square in my natal chart).. That makes me wonder if my relationship with them often triggers those conflicts of my natal chart (relating to them triggers my inner conflicts??)..
I kinda started to wonder somehow that if I learn how to solve those conflicts of my natal chart, maybe that way I can also learn how to solve those hard aspects in the synastries.. But still, I don't understand much about t-squares yet.. T_T

I wonder if anyone can give some good insight about t-squares and how to solve these conflicting energies?? ^_^

One way to work out your T-square is to develop qualities/areas of the sign/house opposite to the focal point.

e.g. Your T-square focal point is Jupiter in Aqua (6 house). So what you need is to try and focus your activities at the 12th house (e.g. search for unity and divinity, hidden resources, challenge to explore inward, discern, grow and let go etc) and the sign of Leo. (e.g. learn to see your potential and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about etc)

Or, for example, if Sun was involved in a T-square too, you could have tried to channel your energy into any supportive aspect you have to the focal point. e.g. Let's say Venus makes sextile to Jupiter = enjoy social events or cultural activities, try to approach every challenging situation with sympathy, understanding and positive attitude etc.

a release point for t-square is often said to be the sign and house opposing the focal planet .

for instances if you have Sun in Leo in 4th as apex, then your release point would be Aquarius in 10th which could indicate that you could resolve the stress, tension of your t-square by humanitarian,independent,and/or innovative career.

Thank you for your answers.. ^_^ I'm getting a bit of the picture now.. Lemme see.. With Mars and Pluto Opposing in 9th and 3rd house, my beliefs and ideas are often in challenge as in the urge to have it structured (to the old beliefs) yet also the urge to re-structure it constantly (or something like that).. and what triggers this conflict might be when I come in contact with the humanity (or something like that).. So the way to solve this conflict is developing more my spiritual, flexible side (learning to let go) and also comfront my inner self, yet also be brave and believe in my capacities in that?
(aww dunno how to explain well >.<; )

A really good basic understanding of T-Squares is "Planetary Aspects : From Conflict to Cooperation" by Tracy Marks. Concise yet accurate, easy to follow. You'll get some good basics within 5 minutes.

Every T has 2 Planets at exact Opposite Points, plus one Planet exactly between those two. The example of the 3-legged table is good. The Empty Space will be the missing leg. So when the stresses build up in the 3 legs, the tables FALLS into the corner where there is a missing leg.

So I agree, you look for the Empty Space exactly opposite the Focal Point, your Jupiter.

You need to understand all of them, one is not more important than the other, each has it's own unique purpose. Each Opposition in a Chart is powerful, but even MORE powerful if it's part of a true T-Square. So that a Cancer Moon Opposite a Capricorn Saturn creates meloncholy, and difficulty when trying to go with the flow socially.

Emotions, then pragmatism, but what about my emotions, screw emotions, pragmatism. Between this rivalry is poor Mars in Scorpio at an infantile 0.50 Degrees. Mars just wants ACTION, but stupid Moon & Saturn are still having it out.

Finally Mars is tired of holding their corner of the table, PLUS the corner in the Empty Space, and it topples into that. So the way the problem of the T-Square dynamic is ultimately solved is whatever is in that Empty Space (the exact point of Opposition of our Jupiter in Aquarius in the 6th).

Feel free to ask more on this.

Wow, I find this really interesting!

I have two T-squares - Neptune (Sag) and Venus (Gemini) opposition with apex at Mars (6 degrees Pisces) in my fourth house. Is this T-square why I'm sometimes impatient and need to get "results"? My 10th house is empty. So to solve my Mars T-square do I need to focus on my public self? Or my career??

My other T-square is a Sun (Taurus)/Moon (Scorpio) opposition with apex at Saturn (Cancer) in the 7th house. I particularly dislike this one. So to solve it I need to focus on my empty first house (ruled by 28 degree Sag ascendant)? How would I do that exactly?

Me and my bf's composite has a terrible T-square of Mars (Aquarius) on the AC in the first house - the opposition is Neptune (Sag) and Venus (Gemini). It's like we can't help arguing in public - I admit this is my doing, probably because I'm the one with the actual Mars/Neptune/Venus T-square in the natal chart. I can't help arguing when we are in public sometimes but I'm not really like that at home! SO, this could be solved by focusing on our Leo descendant/7th house? How would we do this?

Another one is my sister's Mars (Gemini) opposite Neptune (Sag) with apex at Saturn (Virgo) in the 1st. What kind of focus would need to be put on her 7th house Aquarius, Pars Fortunae conjunct DC)?

Or, her other one is Sun (Cancer) opposite Moon (Capricorn) with apex at Pluto (Libra) in the 2nd house. With 8th house (Aries) opposite, that sounds scary to me, so how would a focus on the 8th house help her with that particular T-square? :-/

You can read about t-squares here. You can solve them by fixing the planets in opposition using the energy of the planet squaring those in opposition. Or, someone (a partner, friend) can have planet opposing your squaring planet, which results in a grand cross which will release all the energy/pressure (like a tornado) before things settle.

Anyone in my missing 4th leg sits opposite (the apex) my Venus, and square (the oppositions) my moon.

They don't tend to appeal to me. Even though it's also my 7H!

What if your apex isn't a planet but an angle?

I have Sun conjunct Chiron (Gemini) opposite Saturn conjunct Uranus (Sagittarius). These planets all square my Pisces Midheaven.

You can't "solve" it.Its the point of activation & passion.

It's a point of creativity because of inner dissonance or tension. This produces the "I want things to get better".Or you go through life being indifferent/stuck in a rut.

My apex planet(the oppo meets a point)is Mars/Lib/6th conj Desc. This is where I eat challenges for breakfast or I find a lot of inner tension. Business opportunities are also likely at this point.

This is true for me.I feel a lot of passion(Mars) about issues pertaining to inequality (6th) in social relationships (Lib).

This is employer/employee, child/parent, girl/boy,men/women,the privileged/the underprivileged,abled & disabled etc.

I tend to notice(esp in media) when a certain group is not well represented /there is prejudice towards it.
