What is your experience with House placement, anger and Mars?

I have my Mars in Aries house 4. And I rarely flare up (I would say probably seriously once or twice a year) but when I do it is usually in the home. Even when it is not family related the encounter may occur on the homefront...ie a phone call in the house or a neighbor letting their precious dog crap in my flower bed...lol..

I wonder how your HOUSE placement affects your Mars particualry around anger (not sex or drive). I was talking to D. yesterday and it dawned on me that he spars verbally with you alot once you are in a reltionship with him. I came home and noted that his MARS is in his 7th house (AQUA)....

Does anyone here also have their Mars in the 7th house and how does this affect your intimate relaitonships?

I have Mars in my 12th house(Taurus),and all I can really say is that I suppress my anger!!I know it's not healthy to hold it in,but I really dislike confrontation!

Interesting Lily, I never thought about his before, but I have Mars in Aqua in 9th.
I love to travel and usually travel long-distance twice a year, and I get really stressed if someone throws out my routine when making these trips. Probs at check-in, inconsiderate fellow-travellers etc, confusions with meals or luggage... And I'm not shy about letting people know I am upset.

Well, I also have an Aries mars/3rd house and can be pretty short tempered when in bad mood. And of course when in a rage, I verbally rip that fool a new one. This happens when I've suppressed my anger for too long (which could be due to the square from saturn). I do get irritated with my siblings often and we bicker alot.

This is an interesting topic. I have Mars in 1st house and it conjuncts my Moon(which is in Cancer), and I have a bad temper. All it takes is for the wrong person to say the wrong thing(theres a certain button that has to be pushed), and I'll go on a rant...since my Mars is in 1st house, I figure it's the first thing people notice about me. And if I am angry it really shows.

I have Mars in H11, but I'm NEVER angry with my friends or people outside my immediate family. But at home I blow up often... From the theories here that would fit a H4 mars more than H11

I have Mars in the 4th too. I rarely get mad but when I do, it's usually at home. I'm only comfortable showing my anger to people I know well like family members, but even that's hard for me to do. The only time you'd see me gettng really mad is when I'm fighting with my twin sister.

Interesting thread. I have Mars in Aries in the 8th house. I have a weird relationship to anger - I really keep it in, I never ever express it. But I do feel it, very intensely - it's a firey feeling that builds and broods deep in my gut. It makes sense - 8th house... But you'd think with Mars in Aries I might be a more outwardly angry person, which I'm not. Hmm.
Anyone else got Mars in the 8th?

I have Mars/2nd...it's exactly opposite my Moon in the 8th. Idk. I know I have a ridiculously short fuse...and blow up over little things and have a tendency to not care as much about the big things.

Idk how I act when I'm mad. I drive fast, talk big, and spend a lot. Oh and I'm naturally very generous, but I become selfish and neglect the other person no matter what...

9th house Taurus Mars here.. ^_^ All I can say is that I can be very stubborn with my beliefs. I don't usually show my anger, but when I lose control it can be really bad lol (maybe it's coz it's opposed to my Scorpio Pluto yay). XD

Mars in Pisces 12th house,

It was terrible when I was a child. I was too nice to everyone and had a lot of trouble being assertive. I didn't understand why people would want to hurt me or disrespect me. Older kids would **** me off and beat the crap out of me all the time. I used to hold my anger a lot cause I was afraid of destroying people. Then it was too much fear and tension and BAM! Huge fight out of nowhere I got absolutely posessed. I have always been more scared at my own anger than at other people's.
Had lots of headaches and threw up when I didn't get the hatred out.

As a teenager, things got worse and developped an inferiority complex. So, I started taking Kung-fu at 17. I became assertive in a harmonious way due to the confidence boost. Earned my black-belt at 23. But even though now everything is ok and I can always confidently talk things through with people I have issues with, there are things I can't forgive... So when someone in a bar or in the streets offends a friend or a girlfriend, I have very little control (when it's with me I don't care and let it go). Same if I see someone I don't know getting robbed or bullied. I feel like my fists are dogs and when I unleash them I have a lot of trouble calling them back.

I hate conflict. But I never run away from it and face life's obstacles head on, looking straight into its eyes. The fear is still there (although people see me as fearless) and this hatred never goes away.

Lilygirl, is your D. angry when he spars, or is he just playing devil's advocate and trying to "debate" with you? I have a good friend who loves to "play-argue" spar. He doesn't really mean it, he just does it to be funny. But, he has offended a lot of people with his "aggressive" and "confrontational" behavior. He has Mars in Leo in the 6th House.

Well, with Mars in Aquarius, Square Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter...
I can get pretty blunt when angered. At that point I don't care who you are, I say what I have to say...Overall though, I don't anger easily (Taurus Sun, Mercury, Jupiter/Scorpio Moon). My brother and sister both have Mars in the 4th, and let me tell you they are very much alike when it comes to their temper. They have a huge temper at HOME. He has Mars in Capricorn, and she Mars in Pisces.

Mars in Aquarius/10th.

people say i look mean - usually i like to direct my anger into something/project/thoughts/ideas - i'm either really detached or really emotional, i prefer being detached. i don't physically box but sometimes, i visualize myself punching and kicking stuff or find myself repeating stuff that was said (whatever made me angry) to release it and forget it. if i don't release it somehow, i will blow up. i've just recently started riding a bike again, that helps a lot too. i read somewhere that people with mars in 12th, should exercise, play sports, be active in some way - to release.

i also have an 8th house mars in taurus. it seethes and seethes and i tend to get upper back aches from it. it's very slow to build, though, and takes a lot before i explode. but when i explode.. i explode. i'm usually a very nice person and my libra rising definitely hides the fact that i'm a pool of emotion constantly.

i also know another 8th house mars person, you'd never know it.

I do not get mad often, or angry. If you pick a fight with me, I get EXTREMELY MAD on the inside EXTREMELY FAST.

I want to walk up to that person and get right in their face.......although I have never done it, it's what my brain is telling me to do.

Its Mars Aquas in 7th ... I am bad about confrontation of any kind unless I know you really really well, live with you..etc..then I am much better....

Cool topic. I have Mars in my second house in Taurus and I have something of a bad temper. When someone accuses me of something I go right on the defensive & will defend my position to the ground. However, latley I have been trying to control myself, because with my mother, yelling never seems to get us anywheres & by giving them the reaction they expect, you are handing control over your emtions over to them, which is something I'm trying to avoid.

All in all, I can fly off the halde on the dumbest things sometimes because I keep my emotions bottled up sometimes, which isn't the best of things. Besides, there's always something hiding behind anger, and tonight, I had something where I was a little angry at first, but I came to realize that it was more of disapointment & sadness that fuled my rage.

Hey SilverFairy, I have a 10th house Virgo Mars too.

I don't have that bad of a temper. I'm usually pretty laid back and lenient of other people's moronic behavior, as well as my own. The only time I get very p*ssed is when I feel like someone's being abusive and/or very unfair towards me or other people. I don't like conflict, but I hate passive-agressiveness much more, so I usually like to get any sort of grievances out and dealt with as quickly as possible. I also like to deal with conflicts as nicely as possible but with the true creeps I can become quite the vicious snake myself. That's what my little brother calls me--the vicious snake. He used to get teased a lot when he was younger and he liked having me around because the kids either wouldn't pull that crap (thank you convivial Sag Sun combined with intimidating Scorpio ascendant ) or if they did they'd get their soul annihilated with some vicious remarks from my Scorpio Mercury mind. I don't usually unleash that side of myself but the true assholes of the world still get a more subdued sampling of it.

I wouldn't say that my anger is related to house placement. I looked at that as well, thought it worked for a while but then realized it didn't. The things that make me angry are completely separate from the person they are coming from.. It could be a relative, a friend, a foe, a partner, a date, a workmate, a fellow student.. anyone at all.

Actually you may be better off looking at the house with an Aries cusp.. My 11th begins in Aries and when I do get angry it is usually over something I see as a social or humanitarian or universal issue (ie discrimination, rape, famine).. Personal attacks tend to brush off my shoulder.
Then again Neptune is conjunct Mars so it may just be the Neptune influence diluting my Mars into something impersonal - impersonal anger over impersonal issues.

Im not sure what this means but I would say my anger is normal.. but my gf would prolly tell you I was a ticking time bomb.. lol

Mars in Gemini in the 8th house. I keep my anger well hidden and try to supress it -- perhaps from my Mars opposition Saturn -- but I feel it very, very intensely. Usually my angry moods don't last long, though... I think due to the flightiness of Gemini. I don't get violent with people or anything living, but I've punched my share of pillows. When I get mad, I need to do something physical, like go running or on a really long walk.
