(If you notice in the chart above, the woman's Sun is exactly conjunct Mars, and the AC is Scorpio with Saturn in the 1st and Uranus near the MC)

She has a lot of Leo in her chart and you'd think she'd be dramatic, outgoing, attention seeking, glamorous, etc. She's very simple, down to earth, shy and doesn't seek attention, prefers a night in cozied up with a book, not very outgoing, and not very flashy at all.

She is picky, which makes sense with the Leo-Virgo influence. But either (assuming this is accurate) that Saturn in the 1st and Scorpio ascendant tones down the Leo a LOT or I'm missing something big time. I saw her chart before I met her, and I was a little freaked at what to expect. However when I met her, I totally threw the astro books out of the window. Figuratively, of course. She's not an artist, or a CEO (though she did run a home business by herself for a few years), she's no actress or "personality"...

I think I'm just in awe at how varied astrology can get... I have a Leo Moon and I feel I'm more Leo than she is sometimes..

And her Sun is sandwiched between Pluto and Mars...and that Saturn square from the first could have a lot more influence in this type of chart, especially since all the planets are practically merging with one another and working at the same time.

She also has both the Sun and Moon conjunct Pluto; she is very intense and has a lot of depth to her.

Her Sun and Venus both sextile Neptune, which makes her deeply sensitive and compassionate.

Moon in Virgo would definitely make her picky, but also give her a solid mind.

She has Mars conjunct Pluto, so she probably has a lot of willpower. She's tough as nails, so don't cross her.

Mars square Saturn probably explains her un-Leo like behavior. It adds a pessimistic view of life. Something has happened to her that has made her think of life as being complete misery. Mars is the planet of aggression, passion and energy, but Saturn restricts it. She may appear very calm and laid back on the outside, but appearances are deceiving. This lady is anything but demure. I've known a few people with this aspect and while this aspect makes them seem calm, peaceful and non-confrontational at times, they tend to hold in their anger until one day, they just explode.

Saturn is in Scorpio....I have this placement and it's quite tough since it's also my chart ruler. If she doesn't have Cap rising, then its effect will be less pronounced, though still noticeable. This placement can definitely make someone appear cool and calm even under intense pressure. They never forget a slight, so be careful about making her angry. There is a volcano seething underneath that calm exterior!

With all of that fixed Leo energy in her chart, you can't change her mind easily.

Also, Saturn in the first house can really tone down the fiery and dramatic Leo personality. I have a Leo friend with this aspect and this aspect alone makes her deeply serious and constantly worried about the future. It can make someone appear calm while they're panicking on the inside.
