I have read that when somebody has ruler of the 1st in 8th house he has life full of crisis. For me that is true, although my ruler is Venus. Venus has sextile with Mars, trine with Neptune and opposition with Lillith. Venus has also trine with Pholus. Not bad Venus but no big help.

I'd say I couldn't care less about my career but actually I am quite fussy and idealistic about what I do.

Serious, responsible, the person who gets the controls and organises everything, yes, that's me, spot on. The Conjunction is Trine Saturn which only reinforces the whole thing, really.

Cancer rising, moon in pisces in 8th house here. My answer is "yes", to everything above. I also like wearing black clothes, accessories and jewelry (onyx).. and I dislike pastels.

my 1st house ruler is conjunct my ascendant (it's my 8th house ruler too, libra ascendant) and i wouldnt say my image was important to me so much as it is to other people and helps me get by

im mostly indifferent

i dont particularly look like any of my grandparents either

My life is not full of crisis. Very little drama actually... But there are certainly lots of 8th house themes otherwise. Venus in my chart seems to be less about love and romance and more about taste/beauty/arts... And my tastes definitely run in an 8th house direction.

The above descriptions are also pretty spot on! Even down to the inheritance. When I was 2 years old my grand uncle committed suicide and left everything he owned to me. It was not a big inheritance by any means, but it is a gift that keeps giving, to this day, almost 30 years later.
