Recently, I have been reminded of how obviously significant Nancy & Ronald Reagan were to each other. You know, they just adored each other, and respected each other, the thing all us lonely gals in here dream about.

I'd like to introduce some of their aspects. I think a lighthearted study of what aspects they had might give us more clues into those key "attraction" and "committment" aspects! *excited* Don't you think?

We've taken a look here at other couples, or perused statistics, of many couples, but few have been married for what - 60 years or something like that? Had a very public life with tons of pressure, yet, their romance was continually rekindled.

I'd like to know a little bit more about this love matter ...

i know this much:::

Nancy Reagan - July 6, 1921 New York City
Sun - Cancer
Moon - Leo
Mercury - Cancer
Venus - Taurus
Mars - Cancer
Jupiter - Virgo
Saturn - Virgo

Ronald Reagan - February 6, 1911 - Tampico ILLINOIS

Sun - Aquarius
Moon - Taurus
Mercury - Capricorn
Venus - Pisces
Mars - Capricorn
Jupiter - Scorpio
Saturn - Taurus

I'll keep looking for the rest of the planets and/or times of birth and post when I find. Gotta reboot my computer for a sec...

Do it gloria, do it, lol.

You people must be so sick of me with all of my devotion to boy plus girl lives happily ever after by now, lol.

But you know I love this undying love stuff, so I'll love to read about it as more info. comes in, but already....

I can't help noticing that Nancy has a Cancer stellium here.

Sign of the family and all.

I guess I should plan on marrying a Cancer or something then, right?

Lots of grounded Earth signs among Ron and Nancy as well.

Thanks for the info. and please do keep posting whenever you can!

Just returned to say I didn't have any luck on finding more details on their placements.

Do you want to just complete the listing so people can interpret on their own, or do you want to list aspects too or interpretations? It's up to you.

At the very least, we can get some impressions on any key placements pointing to a stable relationship.

Thanks.

His first house/rising is conjunct her stellium.... and in her midheaven.. that is significant to say the least, considering the role she played in promotiong his 'outer, public self'.
Neat study.
You know what? Because it has been on my mind so much lately, I want to see if my grandma would be willing to give me her and my grandpa's stats, they had a wonderful 59 year marriage. I don't know if she knows their times of birth though.

Where was it that I was just reading, or heard on the radio, tv? ... I don't remember ... but it was very sobering about how "fixed" marriages are the most successful.

And I mean FIXED. You don't see each other in person until the day you marry, or just before

My aunt, who's like 86 years old, or something crazy like that (she runs around like a teenager - quick mind included)... well, she was married for like 50-60 frickin' years, before he died recently. It was all done pre-Internet era, by handwritten letters.

They've always been perfect for each other, and they raised 3 fine men.

I think with the momentum of the womens' lib movement, we were "trained" to tune out those submissive urges to be with a man "happily ever after". Supposedly, we were fed a dose of reality. A real wake up for the better.

Well, my point is, two people are entering a contract for specific purposes which each commits to. That's hard work which requires tons of teamwork. THERE'S NO CRYING IN TEAMWORK! - my Tom Hanks imitation...

The older I get, the more weary and selectively forgetful I get over too much advice. Like personally invading advice. You know what I mean? Cuz we are frickin' bombarded so much by images and options in a fast time. I started saying like 12 years ago, we humans are not built for that.

Yes, we're great at adapting and surviving. But in order to live a sincere life of honesty, we need the quiet to hear our inner voice.

I know mine is saying MARRY!! But it's not a popular thing to say. You gotta keep your mouth shut, or some stupid drunk biatch starts an argument with you about how much her ex sucked.

BTW - PLEASE NOTE

There is a discrepancy between Nancy's Moon I had on file, and the Moon placement Noreenz posted. I have no idea which is correct, so if anyone else has info, chip in.

Hi Jwhop-

The birth times I have posted were on the CD
that came with this new book out by Lyn Birkbeck "The Instant Astrologer" The CD has a ton of famous peeps birth times and charts on it......I just purchased last week @ Borders $39.99, worth every penny thus far. The only prob. is that when you pull up your personal charts and synastry charts, you are unable to print from it....
you can't even transfer info to enable printing.....pretty clever.....they have it protected somehow.....because, they are actually selling a service which you can purchase, I haven't looked into that yet. But, for your own 'Personal' use, it is amazing and everything is also referenced in this goregous book........for meeeee, it is perfect, worth every cent, probably the best purchase so far.

Does the info you've got on them include their Rising's? Wondering if there will be further discrepancy.

I just found stuff on the Internet, that's how I arrived...

Is it just me, or does Nancy have a lot of easy-going Natal aspects, as if she had little inner conflicts and obstacles?

If so, it may explain another reason why Ronnie depended on that stability in her. Seems like he has some challenging aspects more than she.

Hi noreenz

Glad you're happy with your charting purchase. I wasn't able to confirm Ronald Reagan's birthtime because it wasn't on his birth certificate. There are conflicting reports as to the actual time. Impossible to aspect to the Asc or any houses without accurate info on the birthtime. Yeah some programs prevent you from doing much with the charts they produce besides viewing them. Have you tried a copy and paste job?

astro junkie

I found Ron Reagan in my own program database but not Nancy. I used your birth info for her. My program doesn't have his time of birth but I found this on Lois Rodden's AstroDatabank site.
http://www.astrodatabank.com/NM/ReaganRonald.htm

"It appears that we have no authenticated birth time. Following are the times that have surfaced, with the most recent additions first: In June 2004, just after Reagan’s death, Jim Shawvan wrote to PT by e-mail: “I have known for several years that Ronald Reagan had personally given his birth time as 8:25 am to a friend of mine, Joy Rippeth, who was his first astrologer….Thus the correct birth data for Ronald Reagan is Feb. 6, 1911, 8:25 am, Tampico, IL. Now that Reagan has passed away, I have Joy's permission to reveal this information, and to reveal her identity as well. She is retired now.” Jim attached correspondence from Joy Rippeth who said she got the time of 8:25 AM from Ronald Reagan himself and that she had advised him to be careful on March 30-31, 1981. Note that Reagan was shot on March 30. Steven Stuckey confirms that Reagan’s birth certificate has no time on it and is shown in a book published in 2001, called: “Ronald Reagan: The Presidential Portfolio.” Steven writes: “’This book is ‘a history illustrated from the collection of the Ronald Reagan library and museum’. A copy of the original State of Illinois birth certificate is shown very clearly on page 2. There is no time of birth stated on the certificate, nor is there a space on the document for the time. All the other particulars are there, including date of birth as well as parents names and occupations. What is most interesting is the date of signing by the physician in attendance, Dr. H.A. Terry. That date is August 14, 1942.” .......................

There's more to read about various claims made for his time of birth and it's interesting reading.

It is striking that Nancy has almost no hard aspects in her chart. It's also interesting she has no "air" and Ronald has no "fire" unless those are in their Asc which cannot be determined....or at least I can't determine them with any degree of confidence.

Something else that jumps out is her Leo Moon and I think that's where that fierce protective quality about Ron comes from. The more people attacked him, the more of a Lioness she turned into. I'm assuming the info you posted for Nancy is correct as to day and place of birth and I have no reason to believe otherwise.

Something else that I read about RR is that the Soviet Union leaders said he has "teeth of iron", meaning he's a tough cookie and that's confirmed by the interpretations of his natal chart in my program.

Oh, geez.
His chart is actually a lot like my husband's (just by the placements).
Jase's an Aqua Sun, Taurus Moon w/ a Cappie Merc...his Mars is in Pisces, though, not his Venus.

Er, sorry.

And remember Prox - I too dated a man with those placements. Remembering me telling you? With the Scorpio Rising and everything?

Well, in fact, he had Venus in Pisces, and was the love of my life for 15 years. Yes, you and I both know something few women get to keep as long as we have. We're special!

This will be so interesting!
I never liked Regan as a president and Nancy was not one of my favorite people either. But they loved each other so sincerely. As a couple they were beautiful to observe even in death(with a funeral that lasted way too long ALL DAY) You could tell that her love for him hadn't waned. We should all be foruate to love and be loved like that...

As for arrange marriages working...I wonder if they work because 'divorce' is not an option. If you were unhappy who would you tell...

Just opinions really

Yeah, that's true too. Divorce was a HUGE HUGE HUGE tabboo not too long ago in the U.S., much less other countries.

It was very important to keep the family unit intact, and it's still tradition in several cultures for wives to accept the fact that her husband has a mistress. The wife keeps him grounded and raises the children. The mistress makes him feel young and uninhibited again, (and usually do the "dirty" deeds the wife is too prim and proper to do - like BJ's or anal).

I wonder in that type of society what happens if the wife is 'open' sexually with her husband...does he take a mistress...does he have too (peer pressure kind of thing...)

Do mistresses do housework? That's my sixth house sun asking:>

I like Nancy's Leo moon, it's hard for me to dislike anyone with a Leo moon because they are incredibly loyal and tender hearted toward their one mate. Faithful and loyal are words that come to mind. I know one who is a hard worker, good to his mother and sister, and gets A's in school. He also believes I am the greatest artist on earth. What a kid brother!

Interesting that Nancy had Uranus trine Sun, so even though she had little air, she would be sparked by Aquarians with that aspect. Her ego was healthy. Reagan impressed me with his Mercury aspects, he has so many it's no wonder he was a good communicator. He always gave the appearance of a person who was delivering serious, important information to the public.

His Saturn in Taurus must have been very attracted to her Venus in Taurus. She wore the pants in the family. Saturn in Taurus would feel a little dominated by an Earth Venus. Mars in Capricorn also likes the drama of a Leo moon. Nancy had lots of drama, creative flair and ego, wrapped up with pride.

I see Reagan had Venus trine Pluto, a good aspect for getting what he wanted over the long term. He liked Nancy's drama and flair and so he was satisfied with his choice.

Note that the happiest relationships have to do with Satisfaction, not a perfect match.
