hey gloria,ok, i brought the book today i read this bit in:
"physical bodies both make and receive aspects from other physical bodies. when mars trines jupiter, there is a flow of energy from mars to jupiter, and from jupiter to mars; both planets are affected and influenced by the aspect. mathematical points in a chart (incl. the angles, the moon's nodes, and the arabic parts) can only receive aspects from physical bodies; they do not make aspects. mars trine the ascendant will influence the ascendant, coloring how the individual appears to others, and how that individual interacts with the world. it will not, however, influence the expression of that individual's mars."
so reading that makes me think maybe i shouldn't compare points or angles between my chart and another's.
see, i'm making this completely tedious and time-consuming chart to compare all the aspects between mr virgo & i. ive discovered some cool things i didnt know:
my moon quindeciles his moon (though by sign they're opposite: his in gem and mine in sag)
my sun quindeciles his pluto (and his sun is exactly conjunct by a few minutes my pluto)
my sun also quindeciles his venus ruler and his mars ruler, because both those planets are in scorp in his chart
his moon exactly conjunct by a few minutes my juno
our venus' may be square by sign (loosely at 6°), but they are antiscion to each other - his at 12° scorpio and mine at 18° aquarius (i have the chart of antiscion/contra-antiscion aspects if you want)
plus his venus is conjunct his uranus anyway, so his venus has an understanding of my venus. we both have venus-saturn aspects as well.
also, pluto is such a strong factor in his chart (with his ascendant, venus, mars, and uranus being in scorpio), and in my chart both my sun and my moon make exact (by a few minutes) hard aspects to my pluto (sun opposite pluto and moon square pluto)
anyways, just some stuff im finding out. ive been working on this off and on for 2 weeks now, and a couple days ago i got to the part where im comparing my s/m midpoint and v/m midpoint, and i dont know whether i should be comparing these things to his points/angles. maybe it doesnt matter...you know?
ok, so, i need more coffee.
hope you're having a good day!
