I have just spent three days in England with my Dad... He has a very good friend who like many of that generation was married for a very long time, and remained faithful...foresaking all others, and all that stuff.. Anyway, very sadly, 11 years ago his wife passed on after suffering cancer. For a long time he was grieving of course, but once he began to move on, so did his life. To date, he has two women "on the go"...both with the same names...haha...very handy hey? My father tells me his is having sex with both of them and knows he is doing wrong cos he isnt being honest with one of them. He says to Dad, I know I am a rat, but I cant help myself.... He has a very full life....he walks, goes to parties, travels abroad and by the sound of it, keeps two women VERY happy... Oh and yeah, here is the punchline, he is 82!!!!!!!!!!! Haha...I spoke to him and said "oh wow...you are an inspiration, when I am 82 I am gonna get me two young men, and I shall think of you". He gave me the most wonderful smile.....  Lovely man, and by the sound of it he is NOW really LIVING...  I did say to him though it might be best to "come out" to the other woman...honesty is always the best policy"....and then I said "if she decides to leave you, I am sure there is a third waiting in the wings". He said there was....a very rich widow actually... Hahaha..... Cool or what !!!! IP: Logged |

Great he dispels the myth that the older folks can't get it on too , not good that he's dishonest with one of his partners. No matter the age, that isn't cool. Still it sounds like you had a great trip, my dream is to live as full a life as possible well into my eighties and even nineties IP: Logged |

I agree NeoI said to him, you better tell the first one or else you may get found out and that would cause much heartache for all....he agreed....so I hope he keeps his word!! He said something very sweet to me...he said "just because one ages, it doesnt mean the romance is lost in your life"  IP: Logged |

That's fab!
My gran had a fling with a slightly younger man a few years ago (in her seventies) - she's now 90 and is still a vibrant and attractive woman with bags of personality. She could no more switch off her desires/feelings than you could switch off the Sun!Where on earth has that awful assumption that "once you get to a certain age" it's improper and somehow disgusting to feel desire or crave passion and physical contact with another?? It's part of being human isn't it, and you don't suddenly cease to be human on your 60th birthday! I intend to be very 'human' (if not a little animal!) til I die!!! I wonder what his astrology is Sue. Do you know?It reminds me of the movie Must Love Dogs (or something like that) where the main character's dad is dating several women at teh same time. When his daughter questioned his morals, the dad said.. I already had the love of my life, these things only happen once in a lifetime. (his wife had also died) IP: Logged |

Well lovely I know he has a Taurus sun, thats all.....Shocked Jan?....haha....I aint shocked at ANYTHING these days....sort of heard and seen it all, so to speak, then I suppose at aged 47 one would....? ....maybe? I actually think its wonderful, but not the part where he is lying to one of the women....I think the fact that he can manage sex with two partners at age 82 is bloody marvellous....amazing.....inspiring......!!!!!
