Anyone else with their Venus in Scorpio? What a placement, love is so intense. Everything they say is true, I have to feel as if I am the only woman in the world or my jealousy can take over. Luckily, my sun is in Capricorn and my rising is in Pisces with a Sagittarius moon. I'm all mixed up! But the other signs kind of mellow my Venus out.
But does anyone else who has this placement find that they can be extremely possessive of the one they love? And then when it's over you feel as though you have lost a part of yourself? Also, when I want to, I can be quite the femme fatale using sex to control. Interesting. Just curious to know if this is universal with those in that placement. Thanks!

This is 'lost horoscope x~files' interpretation~

According to medieval tradition, Venus is in detriment in this sign. This means that issues like beauty, elegance, social refinement and diplomacy are not well supported here. Because Venus is being represented by Mars, the line between love and hate can seem very thin. Love often takes on a magnetic quality and can become a fatal attraction. Attractions tend to be very strong and repulsions equally strong. In the event of rejection there is the tendency for these natives to take it much more personally than most. Jeolousy and possessiveness are very common and they often expect faithfulness even if they tend toward sexual promiscuity. Like those with the Moon in this sign, they have a hard time with self reliance, letting go, forgiveness and tend to hold grudges. When they find the right mate it is usually a very enduring relationship, although it may be somewhat rocky at times.

In a diurnal chart, the heat and dryness of the day counteract the cool and moist nature of Venus. Because the heat rarifies and purifies, there is less liklihood of promiscuity unless Venus is oriental of the Sun. The dryness tends to create social separation. As a result, these natives may tend to play hard to get in romantic settings.

In a nocturnal chart, the cool and moist of night intensify the same qualities in Venus. There is greater sexual magnetism and because of the blurring of distinctions there may be more sexual promiscuity. The cold groups that which is alike and unlike together in closer proximity. The combination may create a tendency for the native to not understand where personal boundaries lie, causing strong attractions and repulsions, clingyness, and stalking, to be a significant issue in their life.

*both my children ( both born during the day~ diurnal) have Venus in Scorpio.. My son actually has a stellium in Scorpio, though he is a Sag Sun, Aries rising.. he also has the moon in Scorpio ( how apropos that his mommy is a Scorpio Sun, with a Stellium in Scorp, too.)

Got this too Skygrl7. Nocturnal chart. Despite those pesky medievalists, I think the good outweighes the bad. In fact I kinda like it. Venus in Scorp feels things DEEP. This is no shallow-giggly-gum chomping-cheerleader Venus. Did you ever see Rossetti's painting Astarte Syriaca? Well, that's Venus in Scorpio. Not some cuty Victorian Venus laying back on a cloud peacefully sucking a lollipop. Generally, I have what a therapist once called a "vampire" mentality. Meaning I suck things dry then toss them out. Tiring but elightening. I think the Venus in Scorpio has alot to do with that tendency. I can be possesive and jealous but I'm also good at talking myself out of it. If for no other reason than because I feel showing jealousy is a sign of weakness and god forbid! I've got a Sag moon too and that helps.

pixel, what is a stellium?

Thanks Pixel and Tink!
Wow Pixel, you know your stuff but of course because you are a Scorpio. My mother is also a Scorpio and I get along very well them.
Alot of that is true. I do take my break-ups personally and my relationships are usually tumultuous but passionate. I have never had a "fatal attraction" (thank goodness). I think the other elements in my chart counteract that. Your kids are probably very loving and intense. Maybe they need alot of attention and love. That's how I was a child. I love having my venus in scorpio because I have no problems attracting people. Sex appeal usually comes naturally. BUT those feelings can be a bit much sometime. I'm saying that because I just got out of a relationship that was 5 months but I know it will take me a year to get over it. Longer than most!
Tink, you know what I'm talking about right? WE do not feel things like most. I just wanted to hear from others because sometimes you feel so alone with this placement. Like you are the ONLY one with those feelings. By the way, where can I see that drawing of Venus in Scorpio? I'd love to see that. Hey Pixel, how does my mars in gemini and venus in scorpio go together? Is that a good combo?

Well, I'm not that good, I just used my mouse to cut and paste.

Tink... I believe You have a stellium, do you not? Five or more planets/angles in one sign/house. It might even be four or more, not sure.

Mine is Scorpio.

Sexy girl~
Just off the top of mon tete...
Mars in Gemini? I would think that would temper (mars-temper.. ha ha ha) the Venus in Scorpio a wee bit. It makes you a bit more fun loving and scattered, 'tempering' your depth. Venus is pleasure oriented, Mars is action. You provbably have a lot of nervous energy, and alot of interests... alot of friends too, which is atypical of Scorp itself. you can be counted on to get things done, and won't usually fly off the handle as quickly, but may lack the follow through on all your projects.
You are probably a very active lover, plus with the depth of Scorpio love and passion to wander in there too. Plus, you have two mutable planets within your main personal planets, so I further stand behind the notion that you take on alot, with verve, but get a bit sidetracked. But your Capricorn Sun might get it done because it wants to start AND finish.
Do you have any more fixed planets? Scorpio would be in your ninth house? Maybe you will be attracted to a foreign professor, or meet a love elsewhere in the world... a pilgrimage to a temple? Gemini Mars is in your fourth house.. you were probably involved in sports alot growing up, and were encouraged to be active... Now you want your home life to be fun and maybe a little scattered. There's room for others in your home life.. the queen of the castle isn't a big deal. You can share.

Venus in Aries is also in detriment and has no essential dignity, it has to work harder than normal at things like beauty and harmony. This may be similar to Venus in Scorpio's challenge. I also have a tendency to hold grudges and I think that' s a good counterbalance to my Taurus Sun and Cancer moon which can allow others to lead too much.

Our Venus is usually quite different from what we see ourselves to be, which is a good thing. There are a lot of lessons learned through a lifetime, especially in detriment about peace, loving and getting along.

I have a lot of friends with Venus in Scorpio who are learning the same lessons.

Buddha himself may have had Venus in Aries as he was born in May, and his message was Love and Peace through Strife and War. So that could be a way to a greater inner harmony.

I hope for to find peace of mind and hold on to it without resorting to jealousy.

Take Care,
Natasha

Oh I do, I do have a stellium! Yippee! 5 in Scorpio. It sounds pretty but what does it mean?
Sxygrl7 ~ I did a quick web search on the painting but didn't come up with anything. I have a few books w/ his stuff though. I'll ask my techno wiz Gemini husaband if he can scan it or whatever the hell you call it. It's really quite something.

Well, from my understanding, Having a Stellium, is a cluster aspect, it strengthens the manifestation of that particular sign.. much like a singleton would... depending on house position. If you weren't a Scorpio Sun, as part of your Stellium, then you would most likely have very Scorpion traits, despite say, having a Sun in Gemini.... Either way, no denying you are a Scorpio. I also have my Stellium in my Sun sign. But you know what, girly? No matter how many people say~"You are a Scorpio? Does that mean you're moody and voilent?" I still would rather be me than anyone else.. maybe not all the time, but There is a greater understanding of our fallabilities as well as our strengths, we can empathise when we chose, and also put trust in only ourselves. We can see deeper inside other's souls, even when they don't want us to. And as long as we are kind about it, we can make the best connections and deepest friendships there can ever be. This intensity gets us into trouble, but it also gets us OUT of it. I like You , I like Me... It's all good.
I realize I said 'girly' hee hee, I mean that in a respectful way.... you know, like, 'girlfriend'.
*snaps her fingers three times, gesticulates wildly*

I still don't get the "stellium" thing. I don't have very many signs all in one house. I have so many different signs, which is probably why I am so scattered.(lol) I know my scorpio venus is in the 9th house? I have a jupiter in aries and so on and so forth.
Pixel, that mars gemini reading is also quite true about me. I also have a hard time being with one person. I am usually juggling two. Bad, I know (wink). But the twins should get two choices right! (lol)
Thanks Natasha for the kind words and I am definitely working on that. And tink, that would be awesome if you could ask your hubby about that pic, thanks!

I too have my venus in scorpio, and I share those characteristics (possessiveness, and I HAVE to have the center of his attention...)too. When I am in love, it is like a drug or something, lol. When that love doesnt last, it's like a part of me dies and I feel it so intensely. My first true love took me 2 years to get over. I still love him though and feel he is my soul mate. I am a virgo sun, gemini moon. welcome to lindaland by the way

TINK..........

"This is no shallow-giggly-gum chomping-cheerleader Venus."

BAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAH

Love it love it perfect!!

Funny........as far as the topic is concerned, I DID suddenly feel utterly repulsed by what was once an intense attraction....and now, I could care less about males/relationships/whatever.

And, I have a Libra stellium. How odd for someone who is basically homely and always single.

Love ya all.....

My man has Venus in Scorpio, and that makes so much sense now... he seems shy and sweet, like a little boy, but he's quite *ahem* fiesty in *ahem* the bedroom. And he is posessive of me. Whenever we hang out in big groups, he's all over me, holding my hand, arm around me, as if to say ''MINE!!''
I learn something new everyday...

Venus in it's fall makes the partner feel what is being held back, make sense? Venus in Aries makes partners fiesty and impulsive, even though that's not needed, and Venus in Scorpio attracts/makes partners appear who are mysterious and sublimate anger.

The hard thing is that when we are young we attract exactly what we don't need, it's too much and the relationships destruct, at least we don't implode!

Venus in Aries tends to leave partners sad, confused, angry, and impulsive. It's great for manic depressives, and I used to attract those. Now that I channel my anger into art, I attract more easy going mates, or hopefully a permanent mate.

I understand so well, the need for love, and contempt for weakness that Venus in Scorpio has. Its not always necessary to battle this internally because we will find others who mirror our own struggle.

This kind of Goddess needs company, and affection but not a mate all the time, the idea of a mate for Venus in it's fall is difficult as a concept to handle. Once that is over, it's devotional.

Venus in it's detriment such as Virgo has a harder time with finding devoted partners, but usually there is a reward because Venus in Virgo believes in what it's striving for. People respect Virgo and eventually, well you only need one...

But the big challenge with Venus in Aries or Scorpio is the question of faith, and trust-is it possible? Since this is key to long term relationships, it's in play, and that can lead to overpowering emotions regarding love and hate.

I believe if you meditate on trust on a daily basis with Venus in Scorpio you will be a lot happier. If not call me, I'll worry for you:>

I tend to attract Venus-in-Scorpios a lot. Once one's disappeared, another appears from nowhere, like it or not...
These are fairly demanding people, but immensely energetic and colourful; they're what make the world a less dull place- characters!
Oh, and if a Scorpio Venus woman also has Mars in Scorpio, sex just follows her around.

Beautiful photo Tink, thank you!
I actually know a few Aries Venus folks, I get along with them really well. Yes, scorpio venus folks are quite colorful. My mars is in gemini which makes me a bit scattered. I tend to be involved with more than one guy and get bored easily. I believe Demi Moore has her mars and venus in scorpio...lucky Ashton! (smile)

sthenri, what do you mean by venus in it's "fall?" And yes, I do choose the wrong partners alot, unfortunately. I have yet to be "lucky in love" but I fall in and out of love quite a bit. The men that I want tend to be reckless and wild and emotionally unavailable BUT great in bed. (wink) But the good guys who I know would treat me right do nothing for me! I like to be in control but if I feel like I "have" you, I am no longer interested. I do want to be married and have a wonderful relationship one day. That is my deepest desire but the decisions I make in men contradict that.

I found out last year that I had Venus in Scorpio and what that means...I love it. I've been lucky...I've made some REALLY STUPID choices and I don't let go even when I should have long ago but none of my loves have turned to hate.

I am with a soulmate now but he's moving away so who knows what will happen with us. If he doesn't want to try to do this long distance...then it will end...I know that it will be a LONG time before I let go but I wouldn't change how I feel when I'm in love or how I hold on for anything in the world

(Libra)

P.S. I have a REAL hard time with men who have a Scorpio sun...(my boss...who I adore...)has been the only Scorpio man I know that I have spent this much time with and we get along. Athough he and I don't spend too much time together. It is an innate...this is nice but it wouldn't be if we saw each other everyday. We are in the same office and I might spend 60 min with him a week. Everything is via email...its perfect...anyway (did I mention I was a Libra ) Do you think the Scorpio in Venus has anything to do with it?

HI there, in it's fall is just astrological language, it means that it's not exalted like in pisces. Fall means that harmony is not as important to you, with Venus in Aries, I prefer to be surrounded by beautiful things, but my idea of beautiful is different than Venus in Pisces.

I like to wake people up early just to see them grumpy, it's irritating but that's the way I am, I woke up my Venus in Pisces brother this morning when he hates to wake up early. But I like it and I like jogging in spite of bad weather.

It's not up to me to make things beautiful but I will change and mix things up. Venus in Scorpio also likes excitement and change, rather than harmony.

Neither are bad. Einstein had Venus in Aries, for example.

Venus in Pisces example? Hugh Hefner, of Playboy fame, so Venus in Aries can be cool, and cute, but it's not glamorous, and pretty. I'm cute but I could never be conventionally pretty.

Right now I have on a shirt that says Bad Kitty-belongs to no one. I would look strange in ruffles.

Funny, I have the same shirt! Just curious, you said venus in aries isn't conventially cute or pretty, what is venus in scorpio supposed to look like?
