Astrology doesn't tell you what to do honey.That is free will.Astrology just gives some tips and few explanations at times.
What you're gonna do about them,it's your own problem.

I'm not a total believer in astrolog stuffs, but my idea is, astrology only tells us the potential energy (like a birth chart tells us our potentials, and transits tells us the potential of having some energy influence - and not necessary telling us that something like this or that will exacly happen).. I think that an astrologer that is skilled and understand he astrology enough would say "there's a possibility that something bad with your job might happen, there's a strong negative energy around you" instead of "you will be fired for sure".. :P

Well, the Birth chart is simply our potential, or as Linda Goodman said in Star Signs, it's our "PlayPen" and we have to stay within it for our own safety until we've outgrown it... until we accept, and therefore escape, our own Karma. Basically this person may have been enlightened and therefore no longer needs to abide by the "restrictions" that he/she set upon him/herself before he was incarnated into this life. I hope that helps... it would be easier to help if we knew the situation, though. Take care, and I wouldn't give up on astrology, because it still does affect us; our chart changes over time as it is, it becomes the Progressed chart as we mature, but when we're under stress we resort to our natal chart because that is our basic psychology. Also, www.widgetsworld.co.uk is a good website to look at transits, which affect people whether or not they're out of their "playpen" yet because the movements of planets affect water, and we are at least 70% water... I hope everything works out. ^_^

Perhaps astrology was meant as a guidance knowing that a time like this comes. You dont know if whats happening right now is an illusion. It very well could be. Sometimes things seem like one thing but really arent. You have to believe in the best. Actually personally when I do readings for people i almost never tell them the bad stuff (unless its a guidance thing) because why focus on the bad, you should always focus on the good and it will come. Wish i took my own advice more often though. But seriously you dont know if whats happening right now is true, could very well be a Neptunian illusion

Some people reject what they don't like or want to hear regardless of any truth it might contain (I've seen it a few times here at LL). Also, the older we get the more we're able to deal with our own energies in a positive way, so the more mature a person is the more that person will be able to show something that contradicts the natural inborn energy.

A lot of the challenges in a chart are able to produce an opposite affect within the person. For instance, if an inability to communicate effectively is noted in a chart, then ALL the instances where the person communicates ineffectively serve as lessons for the person to shape up their communication style. As a result, you could very well end up with a person who is able to communicate super effectively. Having that challenge your whole life really forces you to deal with it, and overcome it.

I mean, astrology (just like everything else) is never a given...never 100% accurate.

A lot of 'factors' come in; 'free will' being one of them, how you use the 'energy', and etc...

I don't know what else to say at the moment...

Hi everyone, sorry for the late reply - I've been away on holiday (I posted the thread from a backpacker's hostel the other day). Back now, and yep I agree with all you're saying... basically what was upsetting me is my changeable boyfriend... I suppose it's actually a case of astrology being ACCURATE... seeing as he is basically a superGemini (sun, Venus and Mercury all in Gemini, 3rd house)... and the moon was in Gemini at the time... he was basically acting like he was wanting to break up with me or something. But now he's ok! He was like this around this time last year... it was closer to the end of January though. It makes me so mad... because I know what he's thinking and how he's feeling! And I think I figured it out just now... last year I had moved into his place, we were living together in a ROOM and it was cramped compared to what we were both used to living separately... he got weird and we were close to breaking up. I moved out, then four weeks later he wanted to move in with me!!! He's been here for a year now, ironically with even less space than before but not too much of a problem. Now, almost on the verge of a breakup again the other day, we were away on a camping holiday... cramped up together in a tent too small for two people. Cramped up in cars hitch-hiking. Before you know it we're mad with each other, irritable, threatening to dump each other, making decisions that he should move out... BUT I was confused because up til then and even the most recent advice and divinations I'd gotten from various sources said that we will stay together and probably get married (personally marriage is not a number 1 priority for me but it would be nice if it did happen). Anyway... things have now since normalised again! It has been majorly frustrating during the whole holiday... and now I'm mad because I couldn't have a restful holiday and now we're home and now he's decided to be normal again! (Oh yeah, and New Years' Eve was the last day of our composite Venus square Uranus transit and it was the night we had a big argument!)
