I don't know what you did previously to tick people off, but there is nothing wrong with bringing up a discussion on how sex fits into spirituality... or thoughts you (or others you know) might be having that don't seem to fit into a spiritual perspective. I think it is an imperative topic to be explored with our young people (and our entire society). If anyone hasn't fully explored these ideas by the time they are an adult (and I bet that is the majority, no matter what blustering any might do) then it is about time they did.

I respect your courage in asking these questions and I respect everyone who openly shared their views on your topic. Although I have never seen a sex topic in Universal Codes (where it probably wasn't appropriate, but where you seem to spend some time so I understand why you may have made that mistake), I have seen MULTIPLE threads with immature content regarding the subject in the Astrology forum.

I think that Soul Unions is the perfect place for such a discussion. If those of us who are attempting to explore and expand spiritual issues in the world avoid the topic of sexuality, it is no wonder sexuality has become such a soulless thing for the majority of the population.

I know things haven't been easy for you lately and I know you are having a bit of a crisis of faith so I just wanted to voice my support on your topic since you seemed to receive a lot of feedback against it and against your perceived motives. It seemed over the top to me and I am addressing the imbalance as I tend to do. I don't actually even remember everyone who voiced disapproval, but it seemed like a lot. I don't know if there is anything else going on where you may have offended others, but on this particular issue I absolutely support your question and I am glad you asked it.

I also understand if you wanted to get a wide understanding from various people across LL. I think you would have received a better response if you had been a little more revealing of your own thoughts from the very beginning. People do not want to be "polled" about such sensitive and private matters but many are willing to share if they hear your own honest thoughts and confusion on the issue. That might have been the problem. I just hope you keep asking questions and keep sharing and learning. Your sharing helped me once, and I don't forget things like that.

Be at peace

Nail on the head, Mel
Many of us are happy to share, but personally I get bent out of shape about being "quizzed" on a discussion board -- witness "Joed"
Especially when there's NO = zero honest feedback from the quizzer (note, this does not apply to you, Nelly).....

What a cute Libra image, Zala.

I was a little nervous to check here, I always worry that I did not phrase my words exactly right. Thank you for the sweet response.

Now, how do I copy and save that moving image so I can use it?

Hi Mel
That "moving image" is an Animated Gif, my sweet
To just Save it, right click on it and choose "Save Picture As" and name it to your hard drive.
Or if you just want to kype it (as I did ), right click, choose Properties, highlight the Address (URL), click Copy, and paste it in here with the [img][/img] tags.....
If you have Photobucket or another host, or your own web allotment, you can upload it to those once it's saved to your pc, and then you will always have it, whereas if the owner of these deletes her site, away go all the cute little animated gifs [Definition of .GIF file extension: (Graphics Interchange Format) A popular bitmapped graphics file format developed by CompuServe.]

I'll do this in parts.

ok, I am back...
I know what the right forums are for topics (for the most part since some can go well in a couple forums). But the only reason why I put links on other forums to end up in this one is because I wanted to bring people from the other places that may not look in here so we can have a conversation and I can get more points of view.
I will say though, even know I do believe in organization and discipline in the end somehow all the topics we talk about are interconnected with each other so we can really put them almost everywhere but we’ll try to keep an order

Edit to add:I hope people are not ticket off I was actually disappointed that for a place that shares so much knowledge on "growing" as souls and being open minded and respecting other people's beliefs because we are all driven by "love" I would get such negative responses ad so many people blocking themselves out of the subject.
But today is another day and as I have been pointed out many times some are ready and some are not for the next levels to come and one way or another we will get there , some sooner than others...

This part I had to quote again because you say it very well, yes, I do think it is very important to understand sex in society because it is a great part of who we are, just like analyzing how men are women are different/or same.
Again, I know I have said this many times but if you take a family as the smallest unit but the most comparable to society and that family is broken then what can we expect from the rest of the world.
If you have frustrated people in a family that just don't care anymore because their lives at home are not pleasant then why would those same individuals think of others?
So, by analyzing who we are we are going to have to analyze all the good and evils that we deal with everyday.... money, sex, values, love etc.

You say that right (again)¡K no, things have not been easy in my life, I seem to have decided I need answers and those answers are not satisfying to me.
I don¡¦t understand how people drift through life without meaning¡K I have gone from laying in my bed at night to the point of expanding my thoughts and becoming one with the universe and just continuously existing (almost loosing my breath) to bringing those thoughts to the smallest thought and both ways there is only one thing that matters.
Love for others and myself.

I appreciate you voicing your opinion and supporting my thread , I am sorry the way I approach issues was not of people¡¦s liking but I can¡¦t please everyone, by doing that I would be selling out of who the real me is when I get inspired and the way I write¡KBut I will take note of the kind criticism and be open minded enough to adjust my faults without loosing myself in the process
If I would have said where I was directing this thread then I could¡¦ve possibly put words on some people¡¦s mouths and I was looking for replies without giving my point of view, just a little test to see where this would take us.

I will at some point give you my honest opinion and a bit(or a lot) of my own experiences too! This is the beauty of the net , we can actually get impersonal opinions that at times may be difficult to get from people when we are face to face and we might feel insecure or uncomfortable.

You say: ¡§I just hope you keep asking questions and keep sharing and learning. Your sharing helped me once, and I don't forget things like that¡¨

I am curious to know what we were talking about that helped you, but even if I never know I am glad it did, I can honestly say that since I came here I have had a better understanding of who I am and what I need and want to be and feel complete.
It works both ways, isn¡¦t that wonderful? ƒº

Once again, thank you for your words and this whole thread!
Peace too!
Nelly

*As a side note, I was watching yesterday a documentary on John Lennon and Yoko (AKA the beginning of the end for the Beatles) and I understood one more time how important it is to find that especial someone in our lives, even know the Beatles had to suffer from it.
I was so moved that I had to go and google his chart and I was also surprised that I didn¡¦t find a lot of water in his chart I was really thinking that a lot of how I feel was mainly because of all the water I have on mine¡K.
One more proof that the road ahead is endless for me with my searches LOL

Thank you,Zala pretty!!!!!!!!
I saved them both.

Nellie, it was in this one: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum10/HTML/002891.html

You must have a lot of Aries in you. I say that because you say you are impatient and you also say "I can't please everyone" when, as a Libra, I often DO try to please everyone and keep the peace. I just want everyone to feel loved and happy and I want to be loved and happy too. Mostly here at LL... but I smile at everyone when I go about my daily errands etc.
I do see great importance in honesty and being yourself. I don't see those things as different for the most part. Love and honesty, I mean.
You always get me thinking. Your energy spans a diluted spot in me and my first impulse might be, "Wait! Is that right?" thinking I don't agree, but then I get thinking of all the possibilities of what you said and I get lost in thoughts. You are thought provoking for me, even if you don't mean to be. I don't know how to explain it, but it must be something to do with the square of Libra and Cancer, but also MORE because I don't do well with Cancers usually. Something about your energy doesn't bog me down as much, but still seems to drown me in emotional thoughts. It's nice and interesting.
I don't think we have the easiest vibe, but it is nice to hang out with you from time to time! hehe
"From time to time"
I wonder if that is a reincarnation reference...

Well thank you (I think) LOL.
I would love to hang out with you from time to time or more.
I don't think all cancers are bad or any other sign for that matter , I think it comes down to how well the person knows him/herself and what his/her agenda is.

Now, here are my placements:

Sun Cancer 0°50'55 in house 7 direct
Moon Cancer 1°13'15 in house 7 direct
Mercury Cancer 2°45'36 in house 7 direct
Venus Gemini 12°57'28 in house 6 direct
Mars Aquarius 19°55'06 in house 2 direct
Jupiter Scorpio 28°05'21 end of house 11 retrograde
Saturn Gemini 0°30'33 in house 6 direct
Uranus Libra 9°26'40 in house 10 stationary (D)
Neptune Sagittarius 0°55'42 in house 12 retrograde
Pluto Virgo 27°02'33 in house 10 direct
True Node Aquarius 15°15'00 in house 2 retrograde

(no aries )

Now consider this:even know I know what the good or bad things are about my placements I have found out that I need to get somewhere, to me that somewhere again is living my life with balance in every aspect of it, so I adjust my actions with thoughts and try to come up with possible scenarios of what the consequences are going to be.

Example: I know I can be very manipulative, but by using that on another person I will not let others be themselves and be happy with who they are because I am making decisions for them (ends up creating chaos), so, instead I ask questions and get them to think for themselves, from that point I just have to pray for the best LOL
I have use this trait that might look as bad (being manipulative) to find a good outcome; with questions I am still manipulating situations, but not for my benefit but for a "greater better cause" and I am hoping in the end I will have a positive result. That is enough to please me.
And yes, 90% of the time I mean to be, I find it delightful when I don't mean to be and find yet another route/thought/perspective

I also want to be happy and I have been also the one that will try to make everyone else happy but I have also understood now that I owe that to myself as well. So, there is a fine line between dettaching to be happy and reaching out to be happy....

*These are all things I am still trying out with people close to me.
Sorry the reply is a little vague right now, but we are all here to learn from each other.

And yes, I knew that was the thread you were talking about but I wanted to make sure, I know you were very sincere when you replied to what I said and it was also one of those moments were I didn't mean to come up with something but it happened and it also made me think twice about things; but if you would not have made that first post I would not have come up with that inspiration! see how it all works out?!
Again, one more reason why I think reaching out is crucial.

anyway... I thank you again for the words.

Random thought: that word "reincarnation" keeps haunting me, it holds soooooooo many keys.

I just love you guys.

I read all of this last night and had thoughts/responses that were interesting and even warmly witty but I was too tired to type them. Tonight (another multiple term paper day closer to the deadline) (one down, 2 to finish...) I am enjoying some LL reading but my brain is too tired to remember what I was thinking of responding with last night... hehe ya, I'm silly. So, anyway... just saying SOMETHING so no one feels ignored or unloved.
More someday soon, I hope!!!

When you have thoughts you want to remember at a later day but don't have paper, pen or you are just not in the mood, order yourself to file them in the file cabinet in your brain for a later day...
I have been practicing that and it works wonders, not everytime but almost all the time.
Unless is something that has to be literally written because it rhymhs in a certain way then you really need to write it down.

Good luck with your assigments! and warm love and hugs to you too, this was nice.
