Just saw the other two posts when I came on, hope this doesn't make it worse. Must be something in the air...
On leaving her he said
"There is no constancy
You berate me for a long list of lapses
Well I'm telling you that I have no attraction
for you..."
UWPHH! it hit her
it hit her, right into her
Like a sickening spurge
His words, they murdered her.
She screamed
"HOW DARE YOU say that
for all we have meant to me
for all you have done to me
it should be me that
is turfing YOU!"
Fat lot of good that did her.
His eyes narrowed, and their slits
bore right into her
Her spits, shook in deep from her
Her sigh, turned to cry
Her life was the pits
The curtain caller left
He stumbled down the steps
His admission was rending him
His stomach was churning
All sadness was swirling
Christ!! why was it like this?!
They hated each other
and loved one another
like no other
but he hated her now
and he hated her mother
She was ringing her mother
She would be telling her brother
She had texted her friend
and had e-mailed her work
This wasn't the last of this
She'd be mailing him nasty quips
But he'd had enough
He'd lost his attraction
Her just right proportions were
becoming distorted
Her sweet gentle beauty
had turned into grasping
If only she knew...
she would shout
"THAT'S NOT TRUE!
YOU'VE only just said
I'm a belle and I'm breasted
I'm BETTER than the rest of them!"
How dare he!
For all she had said she'd be
For all that she WAS
For all that he wasn't
He wasn't even bothered!
Surely,
A germ had smacked into his eye
His head was turned by the neighbour's thighs
It was probably nothing
He'd be back, with flowers
and a bottle of bubbly
He wouldn't prolong this
She knew she was too much to lose
But no, he'd had quite enough of her
He saw to her lists
her cosmo quizzes
Her long list of glitz
that she wanted for christmases
"SHE'D NEVER ONCE...
asked him what HE wanted
or put him first
It was all about her
It would never be worth it
But,
she made a switch
She had realized her part in this
She had made him look small
There was no recourse
He had stifled her stalling
and had passed on her offer
to turn back the clock
He wasn't equipped
It was difficult to pinpoint
Why did he feel sick
Why wasn't he capable
to make such a rift
He had wanted to split
There was much more than this
surely
But he was finding it not so good
He was missing her terribly
She'd packed up her odds 'n ends
They looked like her sorry friends
She wasn't unhappy
It was much worse than that
She had wanted to marry him!
and still she felt that
They decided to see each other
There was new feelings growing
It wasn't all doom and gloom
He offered to be her groom
and suggested a honeymoon
She had been so distressed
The warning had made her think
It shocked her that he could have left
for good
had not been around
not been her groom
It made her consider him
More so than anything
They had shocked each other
into the other's arms
It wouldn't have been the best
to live on with such regret
