IRIS-

this asteroid has a sun / moon symbolism
the iris being a reflection ( moon) of the Sun's rays in water ( moon)

The sun and the moon rule the eyes, and the iris is the colored part of the eye wich contracts or expands to keep out or let in the light. The eyes see and send messages to the brain. The rainbow ( color) connection of the irirs brings messages from the gods.

This may be a signifigant asteroid in soulmate relations when we get messages ( light codes) through our soulmates eyes,
The eyes are the window to the soul.

Psyche -

Refers to the soul or spirit and psychic sensativity.
also, the struggle to achieve true and lasting love.

Eros -

Smitten love, love at first sight
this type of love involves the eyes.
The sun rules the eyes and the heart.

Eros is related to unrequited love and reciprocal love.

Note : the iris (flower) is aslo known as the egyptian lotus.
The lotus is a known atribute of the egyptian god Horus the son of Isis and Osiri.

My thought is that if in synastry you had the regular planetary contacts and then had

asteroid contacts such as:

Your eros conjunct his iris
his psyche conjunct your iris.

his isis conjunct your moon
your osiri conjunct his sun
