Love is supposed to be one of the things in life that are free right? Well, now that I think of it, it doesn’t seem apply when you’re involved or engaged to someone from abroad. You need a fiancé visa firstly, then you need to prove that your relationship is real etc etc. I know why such laws exists ( especially to curb those who marry for other intentions eg green card) but jeez when you’re in that situation yourself it’s errrrr!!! You have to convince another party that the love is real and have all sorts of proof (annoying) because although you and your partner have been together for a long time and you both know it’s real you still have to explain it and wait on permission from another… sorry my rant. Just feels like there’s limitations and conditions to love when it comes to spouses from other countries (although my own country is rather lenient). Bleh.

Ah, the K-1 visa. Believe it or not, it's actually one of the easiest to get.You might be better off going to your partner's home country and getting married over there, then coming back over here on a K-3. Much easier to prove honorable intentions after the fact. Joint accounts, wedding pics, etc. ------------------ My Chart IP: Logged | |
