Well, with sun in his 7th, strong Sun-moon connection in composite 4-10 axis and venus-mars conjunction in his 8th I wouldn't be surprised is he hasn't forgotten you!!!

See your story is similar to what I was saying about gem (although not the same) Our gap of thinking and looking for each other, was for 10 years... Even though we live 5 mins apart from each other.
We try to make it work, but its really hard.. We are not the same people... But you two have been in touch, and havent had that much of a time distance... I will keep my fingers crossed for you..
