I"ve heard that's how you know it's NOT a soulmate relationship actually. When your emotions are very strong, up and down, wild and out of control or unbalanced or you get major butterflies/anxiety, obsessive and it's a rollercoaster, you can bet it's NOT a soulmate relationship - or not one that's meant to last anyway. It's more likely a karmic connection to learn something from and eventually move on from. Those kinds of feelings can even be an early indicator that you should run far away and not bother with the person.I"ve learned that true soul connections - the ones that are truly powerful and meant to last, gift a feeling of complete comfort and ease and freedom....a deep respect and love for one another a comfortable feeling like none other, where you can truly and wholly be yourself. I don't thnk sm connections are meant to last, at least most if them.
There are to teach us some type of lesson, so I guess your karmic connection is what I mean by Sm.For me, a SM is a soul contract so to speak with some sort if purpose.
I agree doesn't mean happily ever after. That's he you can tell a SM connection, cuz it will be one of the hardest relationships to deal with.. But then again, no relationship is easy... Lol IP: Logged |

Most of the guys I have dated before have made me feel anxious or butterflies, guess none of them were my soulmate. Have yet to encounter someone I am completely at ease with, married now but still get anxious sometimes. IP: Logged |

I think there are different kind of soulmate relationships.However if it is a soulmate relationship at all, it is meant to last, at least in spiritual terms, not necessarily as a romantic relationship though.
But true soulmates are part of your being and becoming, and cannot be simply eradicated.
That doesn`t mean however we are meant to be married to them and living happily ever after. IP: Logged |

I think you instinctively feel it when someone's your soul mate.
That person is just very special to you no matter what, even if they're out of your life.
It's like they're a part of you, or they carry a part of you.

I think I agree with this. But what frustrates me about this theory..is when you meet a sm, do you ever learn what the contract was or the lesson your suppose to learn? Has anyone figured that out. I think I met a sm of mine about 7yrs ago. And I still don't know. We had sun conj astroid Destiny exact DW and north node conj karma DW. Which I guess also means our nodes were opposite. I'm also wondering if its possible to feel the sm connection only one way? I'm not sure if he got the same reaction I did, I do recall him asking about it though. I did feel it immediately though...probably the strongest and strangest thing I ever felt. Either way. Very painful and hard to let go! I just want to Eternal Sunshine him from my memory. I've moved on completely and want nothing to do with him but he still crosses my mind everday...ugh!

I kind of agree with this too. I think the problem is, is that there are too many varied definitions of things like soul mates. I tend to lean towards sm often people unpleasant past life connections. Where the good relationships your describing in my opinion might be something else. Maybe a twin flame or ones of those. I'm lucky to have this with someone else. Its very comforting, and has a feeling of "rightness" and belonging. I don't get a huge sense of a past life connection though. I get more a sense of fate, plan and simple.
