How influential really is mars in aries? Seeing as this is aries home planet, as well as one of the physical/passion planets, will aries project greater influence over the person with this placement regardless of what their other placements are?

I'm curious because I dated someone for over two excruciating years who had both mars and venus in aries. He also had the typically steadfast and loyal sign of taurus in his sun, moon, and merc. Not only did he repeatedly cheat on me, but he had been unfaithful to every woman he had ever dated. Must have been something about the aries thrill of the chase and quick boredom combined with the taurus love of indulgence.

I'm just curious to see if those two mars aspects were strong enough to overpower the prominent taurean influence. Anyone else know more about this?

I think the venus would be more problematic because it's in detriment. I have mars in aries, but it's placed in my 3rd house. It gives me a sharp, sarcastic tongue (in a witty way), I drive fast, and I get impatient on the road. But I DONT CHEAT.

Now I knew a guy who was a Taurus sun/aries venus who was/still is the same way as the guy you were seeing. Now maybe if your guy's mars conjuncts his venus (that is already in detriment),it would make the effect of venus in aries even stronger.

I've known more sexually promiscuous Taurus people than any other sign. Maybe it's the Aries inner planets playing out in these sexual [bull]ies, but Sun is always the most prominent, right?

At some point we need to re-evaluate Taurus. Break it down to the symbology. Bulls like to F*ck [as many cows as possible] don't they?

CrankyCap, are mars & venus conjunct? I seem to remember that creating more harmony when they are so.

also want to add that Taurus also perhaps have strong romantic needs and that is the reason for seeking out sex.

Merc in Taurus doesn't express itself verbally, it's very physical in expression. once an emotion takes over the body expresses it, there is a strong need to posess others too.

Sun/Merc/Moon Taurus is driven to express physically-magazines, and plays wouldn't be very interesting, eating, drinking, games, the beach, and a mate who enjoys being with him constantly would relate.

If a man says he's cheated on every woman he's ever dated he's setting you up for a challenge, so he's bored easily physically. Best mate for him would be a physical fitness expert, sports addict, mountain climber, someone who could push him to experience excitement and be there with him.

And the same mate would need to provide food, home, hospitality.

Very macho placements, would attract a woman who is a constant challenge.
He doesn't want his mother, he needs a counterpart who is what other men want, to feel needed.

Sensitive men like motherly women, macho men like challenging/demanding women.

I'm a Taurus with Mars conjunct Ascendant in Sag, but I have a sweet and caring cancer moon.

Taurus moons in general are not that complex with relationships and need devotion in the physical sense of the word.

You have to be there every day.

Personally I see the merc in taurus as the culprit because most believe someone is emotionally engaged and therefore not likely to cheat, but merc in taurus doesn't get as involved mentally in a partner who is not there. And he or she may feel guilty cuddling when he or she needs a lot of it, and so accepts it whenever possible.

I never have been able to date a merc in taurus, and I have many flighty placements.

Now Taurus moons are very emotionally fulfilling people when you are making it work every day, as they can cuddle every night..if you are working on the relationship not just the cuddling.

That part is really hard..

Anyway I've had lots of taurus men in my life and taurus moons, mercs, venus, due to my taurus sun attracting them, and the best method is to determine if there is success right from the start and commit to being there every night. If you can't do it then back out.

Pisces men and men with pisces placements are also great cuddlers.

Sun-Taurus, Venus-Aries, Mars-Scorpio here.

I'm not promiscuous, the only man in my life so far is my Aqua hubby and I'm loyal to a fault.

I believe there is more in this guys behaviour, that could be explained only by his planetary positions.

Interesting feedback...I never knew his time of birth, so I'm not sure if he had a conjunction between mars and venus or not. There might be some truth in the merc/taurus aspect as well. He was never very good at expressing himself emotionally, he was very much more physical. The physical was never our problem though! I actually dated a Gem for a while with a mars/aries placement too, and surprisingly he was about as faithful as they come, we had virtually nothing in common though so that relationship was excruciating for other reasons...LOL...but maybe for some reason the inner aries placements just effect taurus differently. Already a very physical and masculine sign, adding the dash of aries just makes it even more pronounced. Lovely is right...taurus should be re-evaluated in the future! I've known many of them to be cheats. Sadly that's one of the two signs I'm most attracted to, along with Scorps which is who I'm with now. He's got mars and venus both is scorp as well which gives us that oh so sweet venus/mars conjunction. WOW!!! I'm a lot more relaxed and comfortable with him than I was with mr. taurus, and I have no doubts whatsoever about his fidelity.

Hi, thanks for warm welcome:>
I have been very down physically since about nov. of last year and just now coming out of it. I received a bit of a setback but I'm moving forward in my career and traveling between Boston and NYC regularly despite my health.

Thanks for the notice.

I'm very expressive these days with those around me but because of my health this results in a circle of friends who are already married/hooked up, making my life even more structured.

How are things with you?

Natasha
