Topic: Weird thing--opinions?

I have been keeping in touch with someone I used to date for awhile, and even though we have not seen each other in 3 yrs, we still text every month or so.
So this strange things seems to keep occurring, and I'm wondering if this means something, or actually quite common. There have been multiple times when I'd be dreaming about him, wake up from my phone buzzing, and have it turn out that there's a text message from him. Just this morning, I actually dreamed I got a text from him, woke up to my phone vibrating, and sure enough, it was actually a text from him (we hadn't spoken for a couple months now).Another thing that stood out to me was that when I was traveling in a country across the world, my phone didn't work. I dreamed that he had been trying to get in touch with me (he didn't know I was traveling at the time, or that my phone didn't work). I dreamed that he was trying to contact me and was really upset about not getting a reply. When I returned home, I got signal back and it turned out he had sent me 3 messages throughout the week i was gone. What do you guys think--is this significant, or am I reading too much into things? As far as I'm seeing here, I think you have undiscovered psychic abilities. Precognitive dreams are one common indicator. My best friend has those kinds of dreams and it's scary how many of her dreams have come true. Or it could also be you have some kind of psychic link with this guy. ------------------

I don't think it's all that unique. it's similar to thinking of a number and then someone says it, or expecting a call and the phone rings at right that second, or parents who have dreams their kids are hurt and they find out they are - even though miles separate them, or people feeling pain for someone who has just been hurt, or walking through the store with a dress and finding out your friend is holding that dress too, etc. it happens to us all, and if you're spending a lot of time thinking about this person during the day then it's more likely you'll dream of them at night and find these coincidences meaningful. we are more attuned to some people than others though (because of relationships with them) so it could be that bond, or it could just be that you know his routine enough to assume it's going to be him. don't read too much into it imo.IP: Logged | |
