and if you never meet your twin soul? does that mean that you are not as spiritually evolved?i mean, i live in a society where the divorce rate is 50%... and, ive lived in a society where people stayed married because that is what you do... sometimes, this twin souls and twin flames seems so idealistic and wishful thinking to me. it just seems so relative and snobbish but, im becoming open about it. one question, if you see your twin soul, is it normal to feel a yearning/craving for your twin soul until you establish the connection?

I felt better before I met anyone that felt like a soulmate to me (romantically). I've never had a good experience, and I really wish that I had. I've been wondering if there is a primary soul mate for everyone, if mine was born a family member so that we'd be close in another way. IP: Logged |

the link isn't working for me. I guess the universe didn't like my answer, so no website for me. choco, I used to feel the same way. First there was all that talk of soulmates, and then eleven years ago or so, it was twin souls. It was really getting on my nerves, like a new and improved soul mate thing, just like laundry detergent. First you needed a soulmate, but now you need your twin soul. I have a romantic side that could be easily exploited; I like the idea, but I think it's cruel to send people down here without that other half. I also think our souls are whole, and we just meet people to hopefully complement them, instead of using and sucking you dry of your life essence, with them going on to enjoy themselves and leaving you all depressed and whatnot. exactly teasel,i mean, i have to laugh when i read of 'my twin flame/soul mate told me i was a jerk or a ***** ' or, ive met my soul mate and twin flame but we have so many problems... i mean, really? for example. take a girl, started dating someone, they become boyfriend and girlfriend, everything is ok, the are 'soul mates' and then, one day, he raped her. some would say that this is a lesson, i say, not really. but you see, i dont believe in karma a la reward punishment. bad things happen to good and bad people and good things happen to good and bad people. and a 4 year old who got raped didnt deserve it, nor it was a lesson for this child. it was a horrible experience that cant be justified or rationalized in any way or form i dont know, there are some people who we date and imo, there is no lesson involved there, unless you make it to be that way and it does get a tad bit uncomfy when someone is looking down on you with the 'i found my twin soul, look how spiritually evolved (better) i am compared to you' or when i see loads of women still being sold the idea of 'finding prince charming' or that perfect/unique/exact person.. i think this generates more disappointments and sadness and unrealistic expectations in relationships and people for women in this department, i would say men have def. won IP: Logged |

Great thoughts. I feel similarly in certain ways.I think the article brought up some interesting points, and could be helpful to some people. The term soulmates or twinflame meant something to me when I was younger. Now, looking back, i can see how everyone was a 'soulmate' in a way and also how the seeming importance of those two fairy-tale ideas did not serve me well. If you believe that everyone you meet is there for a reason, and not by accident or coincidence, then every person can have deep meaning if you choose to see it that way. And I think that's how it really is. It's not one person we should be looking for, but everyone....not to mention, finding ourselves first and foremost. It's nice to not have to feel like there is one special person, and only one, out there for me anymore. And that everyone is special and meaningful to you in their own way. If there really is ultimately one person for everybody, I really don't think that we are meant to meet up with them in every single lifetime or even most of them. Perhaps we have other things to focus on and more learning to do through more dynamic relationships. Relationships with people who don't match with us as well, could be a better opportunity for growth. Afterall, it's supposed to be all about the learning and growing experience down here on the earth plane.
Who knows? I liked some of the things in that article along with others on that website anyway. IP: Logged |

I feel as if I've met my twinflame. We have the strongest bond that we've ever experienced. There are so many twists and turns to 'us', it's definitely not "superficial" or "surfaced". It truly does scare both of us, but we are drawn to each other with little to no effort. Fear keeps us from being together. That and the fact that I am the more consciously aware soul and he is still trying to come into consciousness. He is still trying to learn what love is and accept it. I on the other hand always knew what love was but just didn't think it could happen to me. I fell in love with him when I was 15. We still have not been intimate and I'm 26 now! I want to make love to that man! Ugh...We always give each other the space needed to grow in our relationships and it actually doesn't cause any jealousies. There is something very "home-y" about us...this love we share. We are still in "this"...whatever "this" is. lol...IP: Logged |

i think you should make love with him and live "this" together with him anymore, not seperately.maybe you should fight the challenges together, not seperately. we don't have infinite time in this world. and maybe what you two are doing now is refusing a gift that is from GodIP: Logged |

Also, I just don't see having a partner as the be-all and end-all. I've had my heart broken, I've felt incredible loneliness, but I also know that having a partner doesn't make everything okay. It's okay to not be on a constant search for someone who might screw you over, or with whom you might end up in a co-dependent relationship. I really don't like the idea that I was only put here to find a mate, but it seems that so many push that, when all relationships are important, including the one you have with yourself (you may gag now if you wish ).
