it looks like you have reached the point where you are letting go of the spirituality/religion that you were raised with or that your parents/family practice. a seed has been planted in you for something new. this is something to be excited about and be courageous about pursuing. however, you are feeling like you have to defend yourself.

thank you so much, that's crazy. especially the last part, i am a member of alcoholics anonymous. so all of my friends are on the same path as i am, spiritually speaking, and i have a few spiritual advisers who i know i can confide in.
