He is a psychologist who succeeded hypnotising his patients not only to their past lives, but to the spirit world, the life between lives! It is a very deep hypnosis. He wrote two books which unlock some mysteries of the spirit world, a third book describing his method, and he edited a fourth book in which other therapists, who have learned his method at The Michael Newton Institute, are describing true stories. Of course, the two first books, "Journey of Souls" and "Destiny of Souls", also include true very revealing stories.

Yes, they are fascinating. I've never got to read number 3, as i am not intending on hypnotising my friends and relatives, and am not a psychologist myself. But perhaps it is good for self hypnosis as well.

You better read "Journey of Souls" first, though one can read the second to begin with too...

Well I know... But I'm a sucker for knowledge. Was reading the dictionary at age 9 lol. So I don't think I would mind too much even if it wasn't strictly necessary for me. But his first two books were really good. Although I know I still haven't absorbed all there is to know in them. It was really strange, but I had the first one as an audio book and I just kept zoning out or falling asleep in sections. No matter how many times I tried restarting it, it kept happening. So I'm thinking that there might just be some things I'm not ready to hear yet.

I found his colour spectrums in book 2 fascinating though. Have you tried past life regression before? I did once with a woman who was trained by Newton's academy. She wasn't amazing but it did show me some things. Like my soul colour . I was surprised because it's a colour I always thought I'm no big fan of. Although... Looking around me, my room is yellow, my lamp screen is yellow, my favourite flowers are yellow... And I always bring them into my room. So it may not suit my skin tone, but it sure suits my subconscious just fine .

That's good to be sucker for knowledge... in my opinion. And no, I did not try a regression because i personally cannot
but it allways fascinates me to hear \ read about the experiences of others...

I would think it should have been an amazing experience... to float as a free spirit under the state of hypnosis.. fly... feel the way the spirit feels, etc. Though according to Linda, spirit and soul are not the same things, and I wonder what Michael Newton would have to say about that.

I am also very interested in the spiritual language: is it a sonar language, a language of sounds? It seems reasonable to me, as music is, much or less, a universal language. So is visual art, but according to the book there is an audio experience... Everybody hears their own language, but it translates from something.

You said your soul colour is yellow. I wonder if the colours of the human aura corresponds to that. Perhaps you'd like to take a picture of your aura?

I have no idea. I've never tried taking a picture of an aura. Didn't know it was possible? I always just thought you would have to go to one of those psychic people who can just... See them.

It might not even have been the soul colour at all that I saw... Maybe it was the aura instead? I don't think I would know what it looked like. She just aksed me to step out and look at myself, and all I could see was a yellow ball so I'm assuming I was looking at my soul self. Not sure how a human aura is different.

I found the hypnosis a little difficult to be honest. It was a great effort for me. Maybe I'm just not supposed to know some things. For one thing, I was only able to recognize one person in my life. My best friend, who is in my soul group. I guess it was because we were having some issues at the time. Let's just say her soul is not happy with me. She thinks I'm advancing too fast and leaving her behind. For me, it's not a big deal as I figure we'll meet at the next... Stop or bend or whatever... But I don't think she likes to go it alone and I'm a bit too impatient to wait up.

I've never thought about the language... Not sure how it would work. At least when I had the regression I didn't really hear any language that I can remember. I just knew. Where I was and what people had been saying.

Why is regression not possible for you? Have you tried hypnosis before but were not able?

I can't go into detail why i can't go through hypnosis... at least not right now. Just take my word for it. But let's say I know how it is when there are things one is not yet meant to know.

There is a thing called kirlian photography, but i am not sure anymore whether it truly captures the aura or not, after reading about it some more... my apologies.

I hope things work out for you and your friend. It is special to have a friend who is also in your soul family... Everybody has their own pace of advancement, and i am sure she will come along when it is right for her.

You may not read this post, but i just thought to say i would like to know whether there is any connection between the soul colour and the aura. The colours of the aure, as far as i know, are made out of the energy provided by the chakras. Any corrections?

Hm... I'm not sure... I don't really know much about chakras to be honest. According to Newton at least, it is possible to have a separate "halo" or "aura" color that can indicate specific advancement or temperament of the soul; but which should be distinguished from the soul advancement color. For example it is possible to have an orange soul but a white "halo" even though white is the less advanced soul color.

I guess in chakras yellow would be the solar plexus? The Manipura? Reading about it, it does actually sound allot like me. Especially with the risk taking and stuff.

I think the biggest discovery for me was that I don't actually mind not being the most advanced soul out there. I quite like living, and I really don't want to be a Buddha to be enlightened in just one life. I quite enjoy the myriad of challenges that life has to offer. So the prospect of several hundred more lives quite appeals to me.

What preoccupies my mind lately though is trying to figure out what kind of soul I would be in the soul world. What role would I play? From what I saw of my soul self under regression I can only guess that I would love to be an explorer according to Newton's characterizations . I think it is what appeals to me the most.

I would love to be an explorer too... it seems fascinating to travel between worlds. Adventurous. But i am not sure this is my role, or will be my role. I think i am sort of a harmony soul, as much as i know myself. But since i didn't do the regression, and haven't got a one strong enough vocation, i really don't know...

I would love to be enlightened. The Buddha route of one life's enlightenment won't happen to me in this life. But i wish it would have. I have always felt there must be more to life than the apparent, and seeked to reveal it. Life took me on a different route, though, and i discovered i cannot get anything i want and that i have to delve on some other basic truths before i get to become Buddha. I still want it. One of the strongest desires i have is to live the spiritual world down here. I want to surpass material boundaries, in consciousness and in matter. That is because i am yearning for the super-human and the divine. But i still have human frailties, and perhaps will always have... Perhaps that is part of the whole thing. you cannot surpass the human if you don't experience it to the full.

Regarding the chakras, i think i know as much as you do. These are spiritual energy centers located along the body, and also above it. Each has a different colour, and i think they are also connected to the different bodies that we have. And yes, the yellow one is in the solar plexus, But i don't know much about it. I read once about the chakras, but i don't remember all of it. I didn't know it was called Manipura.

And i remember the descriptions of Michael Newton concerning the basic colour, which shows the soul's advancement, and a halo which can have a different colour, showing aspirations or serving some purpose. A soul can have a white halo, which is different from it's basic colour, in order to communicate better with other souls. For example. You remember, it is somewhere in the second book, i think.

I just wondered if there were any indications in the human aura to the soul colour. If you feel your personality reflects well the third, yellow chakra, then, who knows, perhaps it has significance in that direction.

By the way, i really appreciate your modesty. That is a tough one for me to master.

P.s. I may never get the kind of enlightenment i'm desiring. I am not familiar with Buddhism, but there is something to do with passion which brings suffering, and one needs to surpass passion, or something of the sort. So my craving is my enemy.

But according to Linda, desire creates energy which brings, in its turn, manifestation. I once had a vivid example of it.

To sum it up, i'm confused!

When I refer to being a buddha, I really just mean a buddha as someone who manages to learn all his/her lessons in one life. I'm thinking that must require a pretty tough life. Not really sure I know exactly what it would entail... But I know I'm not willing to do it! I'm not that familiar with Buddhism, although what I do know I like. You seem more versed in it than me though!

It actually kind of frightens me how Newton talks about souls choosing hard lives to advance faster... Or splitting their energy and inhabiting more people or leaving a great chunk behind in the spirit world.

I don't want to have one of those tough lives! I mean sure, I love challenges (and I want it a little tough) and that's all cool - but I really don't want to go through some of the most extreme ones. Like being completely paralyzed or being abused. I know people can live worthy lives and get through that too, but I just don't want to go through it! So I really hope that's not required at some point. Or perhaps I'm hoping I've already been through it and am done with it haha. That's why I'm saying I don't mind the multitude of lives. The earth is pretty diverse, so I don't think I'll get bored anytime soon anyways.

Since I'm the third level I guess that means I'm dabbling in teaching now. I think that's what the books said. I guess this is something everyone has to go through? It was a little unclear.

I mean... In a way, I can see it. I think I'm helping out a beginner soul from an adjacent soul group in this life. Not saying I'm much of a teacher, but I seem to have some of what she needs at least.

I often feel like I am being used as a tool for a higher purpose. Just dropping in on people at the right time, mentioning the right things or stumbling into them or whatever. Random things that my intuition is telling me I have to do. Saying the things that people need to hear. Reminding them of things. It may not be teaching, but it's a form of helping, isn't it? So if I really am practicing teaching... Then I guess I'm at the beginning stages.

What makes you think you are a harmony soul? I'm afraid I seem to have forgotten what it is.

Hi Sibyl. Of course, Buddhism is only one way. There are many "Buddhas". I don't think that there is one soul that learned all its lessons in just one lifetime! But there is always a "last incarnation" for each and every soul. Someday one must finish school. I guess there is more than one way to do that.

Perhaps you are through with the tough lessons, who knows? I really hope that you are. I had a tough life, but not totally. I have also good memories. I'm still alive, though! I have good things in my life, which mitigate the hardships. I feel that i have evolved. Next time there would be other challenges, to be sure, but different. I believe that i can deal with what is coming to me. I wanted to achieve physical immortality in this life but failed. Still, life has meaning, and right now i need to overcome my fears and go on, toward the unknown. I am practicing peace within myself right now, so i can be better prepared for what that is left for me to live, which is not much for an immortal, but is much for me.

I don't want to die because i don't want to lose the knowledge i have. I don't want to lose control and be born again as an infant who has to learn everything from the start. This fear is groundless, since we bring the knowledge with us to the next life. But forgetting, then remembering, faster or slower... And i don't like to be told what to do by adults! Still, i have no choice anymore. I guess i don't have enough trust in the allmighty. I also have a fear of getting old, and no true immortal should fear that! I have a problem in that sense. I must overcome that fear. We are not our bodies, and i am too attached to mine, Buddhistically speaking.

Not every soul becomes a teacher. The first book gives that impression, but than comes the second book and elaborates. But that might be your destination. Yes, one can start becoming a teacher for other souls at the third level. This comes from my memory, since the books are not with me at this time.

It is a wonderful thing to be a part in other people's life and be able to help. And yes, what you do is help.

I think i am a harmony soul since i am into writing and music since i was a kid. Right now i am focusing on poetry. I also wanted to be a psychologist. These areas correspond with harmony souls (though i'm not so sure concerning the psychologist being a harmony thing). Harmony souls help to clarify the energy and thoughts inside and around people who can be good veesels and contribute to society. The word 'harmony' has a special meaning for me, as i struggled to achieve it within and without, and haven't yet finished the job.

Let's hope we're both past the most horrible hardships. I mean don't get me wrong, life hasn't been easy so far, but I feel very blessed in that I have never had limited freedom (except of course the natural limitations you have as a child. But even by those standards I was pretty free). I think that is what terrifies me most, being in some way limited. This could be either physical or psychological of course. I think my fundamental soul energy is pretty aries . This does not correlate completely to this life of course, where I have also merged with a human. I think my biggest lesson in this life is probably "patience" (with people). The second would probably be courage of the heart. I know these may not seem like much but they look like mountains to me. It's going to be a very steep climb.

You refer to your fear of forgetfulness. I believe Newton addresses this in "Destiny of Souls", where he says he believes there is a movement within the "soul community" (for lack of better word) on the planet to increase the awareness of our immortal selves. I can see why... Especially since we're not treating this planet (or each other) very well... But at the same time I kind of like starting with a clean slate. I also fear growing old... But not because I'm attached to my body (I'm not at all very attached to it), but because I'm terrified of loosing an ounce of freedom. I'm young so I'm mobile now. I can go wherever I want, do whatever I want, face up to any challenge. I'm on top of the world. I hate that it has to change. To be completely honest I think I will probably develop a passion for extreme sports when I get too frail. I can't fathom living past that. But maybe that is a lesson I will need to learn too.

In what way do you feel attached to your body? This is actually really fascinating to me. I've never felt that way so I'm really curious. My non-attachement to my physical self as a child was what started me thinking about reincarnation in the first place. I would look myself in the mirror and see a stranger. My appearance has never meant much to me. I mean, I appreciate it as far as it can serve me a purpose... I'm pretty so it opens doors and I'm glad. I'm athletic and like to keep fit so I can move better. I mean, I'm fond of myself, but other than that... I guess I just feel like it doesn't really reflect on who I am.

How do you picture achieving immortality? Do you mean by not reincarnating again? And if so would you keep your human body? How? I'm a little confused. It's not something I've ever really thought about.

Interesting how you describe harmony souls. It's the furthest thing from me. I thrive on contention. But I think I've known a few harmony souls. My mother, for one. I'm guessing you probably don't like large cities very much? More of a country person? It must be a nice thing to be. Sounds like you're a much more likely candidate for buddha than me in that case as well . I've always admired people who can just be in themselves. Do you feel like your soul is quite libra? (With all that harmonizing/balancing? going on I mean).

To you both

Great convo. Nice to see the exchange of beliefs and opinions. You're both learning from each other.

The Soul's journey on this Earth can be trying and remember there is good too which sometimes can be overshadowed by our negative experiences. Our soul will not take on what it can't handle.

Each experience you face is to make you wiser and may come in handy at a later stage.

Embrace the warrior within yourself and don't give up.
