Not sure where this falls under, but I guess it's a sort of religion or philosophical topic, so posting here. An epiphany came to me that makes sense to me in regards to the Matrix series and how everything ties together.

I'll breakdown the characters/archetypes and their roles first.

Architect = Logic, Reason, Left Brain
Oracle = Intuition, Heart, Right Brain
Neo = Seeker, Lost Soul
Agent Smith = Ego, Power/Fear Driven
Source = Source, All That Is

So, everyone loved the first Matrix movie but when they talk about the last two, they bitterly complained that it ruined the series. The reason I believe most people think that is because the first movie was so ground-breaking and Sci-fi, while the other two took it into New Age/Esoteric realms that many could not bridge or were not willing to accept. If one changes their perspective, and sees how the Matrix is the entire construct that challenges the Soul to evolve, one may be able to appreciate and gain insight from the other two sequels.

The Matrix Part 1

Essentially, Neo, or the lost soul believes that what it sees around it is not the truth and starts to seek answers (or the meaning of life or whatnot). In the search, Agent Smith or the Ego does everything it can to destroy that search, to guide it down false paths and to convince it that it can fulfill all Neo's desires (within the material world). During the course of the struggle, Neo is set free from the world that he is surrounded by and starts to perceive things differently. What he doesn't know is that escaping the Matrix is only the first step in his evolution.

Transcript Quote (Neo on the Phone): I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid. You're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it's going to begin. I'm going to hang up this phone and then I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world without you, a world without rules and controls, without borders and boundaries, a world where anything is possible. Where we go from there, is a choice I leave to you...

Neo, has encountered the Ego and prevailed and is ready to start living from the Soul, shifting the Ego/Mind from master to servant.

The Matrix Part 2-3

Neo starts to have premonitions and struggles between the concept of free-will versus fated determination. He also struggles with the knowledge that he doesn't know what he's supposed to do - what his purpose is.

During this time, he is gaining power and seems to have a resting place called Zion. Yet, while Zion is a resting place, it also confronts him with the choice of stopping his journey, surrounded by people who have no faith in what he believes in as well as others who have total faith in him. As it turns out, Zion and the 'external world' is nothing more than another construct of the Source as Neo realizes that the same powers he had in the Matrix can be used outside it as well. The same 'knowledge' that we acquire in our path can also be the knowledge that stops us from continuing on in the journey. For the Soul is only another step along the journey.

Seeking the Oracle (intuition/higher self) for guidance and confronting the Architect (truth/knowledge/choice) Neo understands that he has had multiple reincarnations and is again confronted with the problem of the Matrix 'free will' or 'choice'.

Architect Quote: Which brings us at last to the moment of truth, wherein the fundamental flaw is ultimately expressed, and the anomaly is revealed as both beginning and end. There are two doors. The door to your right leads to the source, and the salvation of Zion. The door to the left leads back to the matrix, to her, and to the end of your species. As you adequately put, the problem is choice. But we already know what you're going to do, don't we?

Neo chooses to save Trinity, but just like his dream, he catches her too late. She's dying in his arms and also like the Oracle said, we can't see the future past the choices we haven't made yet, and yet the choice has already been made, but we need to understand why we made that choice. In that pivotal moment, Neo starts to believe, not only in the powers of his Soul, but also with his direct connection with Source. He heals Trinity in both the Matrix and in the external construct.

Neo now knows what he needs to do to stop Agent Smith and bring peace and tranquility within the Matrix. He journeys to Machine City and supplicates himself to the Source knowing that everything is light and that nothing truly ever dies. Is it his last journey or are there more? Who can tell, maybe he will return for nothing more than to experience the love, light and truth and sometimes the Journey is more than the Destination.

Unrelated; SDragon, I know and I do apologize as I am not as familiar with the "Matrix" series as to comment upon them.

Was it you who bought the Magi Software and found it to be a disappointment?

If not, forgive the intrusion. If so, why?

I have been thinking about Planetary Patterns, and would like to learn more about them.

I did go to the website once, but didn't care for the general feel of the place.

Kind of like a forest in the mist.

Sometimes it lifts and I can see forever, others it's a lovely Neptunian fog...

Hey Ellynvyx, sorry for the late response, I don't usually pop in this thread.

No, I've never purchased the Magi Astrology software and honestly, while my curiosity is peaked because I like considering different systems and opinions, I also am detracted from the overall feel of the website.

Maybe one day it will be shared and disseminated without all the extra fanfare and hoopla and I'll delve into it when I have time.

Well, I totally agree with SDragon, I went there and it appeared to be a bit mercenary.

First impression.

If it wasn't you, maybe it was Robin Goodfellow that was talking about being disappointed with the purchase. Forgive the intrusion.

Patterns are really interesting.

I did manage to find these and get them up last night:
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum33/HTML/000152.html

I would be glad to share anyone's Patterns, if they are not already aware of them.

I get the Heliocentric as well as the Geocentric with mine.

The thing about Magi was the Synastry, I find it compelling to figure out the Patterns we create together, and mine doesn't do that.

Oh well.

SDragon, you might be interested in some of the things on here regarding the Four Worlds, it seemed to correlate to your Four Chart analysis in some fashion.

Thank you Ellynlvx... will definitely look into it.

I like your patterns reading too - I have a Yod in Geocentric and a Grand Kite in Heliocentric. Very interesting that it took my first Saturn return to confront my Yod pattern and after that I am looking to becoming an Entrepreneur and create from the ideas impressed upon me Never seen the Grand Trine/Kite described as entrepreneur type energy before.

I wouldn't mind taking a look at your Planets sometime.

Those came with my program, they're not mine. I liked them better than most I found, though.

I'm not sure if he said yay or nay.

It was a bit cryptic, his reply.

http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum33/HTML/000146.html

Certainly, both SDragon and LotisWhite would be a valuable asset to the team in that Forum, and both saying time is a factor; I can't help thinking that due to the nature of the Teaching Threads posted on ones own time, either one would be perfect. Unsure whether they realize that.

Ami, Doux and I pretty much cover the rest. One of us is probably always there.

Sorry, it wasn't meant to be cryptic. I guess I never thought of myself teaching Astrology but I would love to do it and share what I can of my limited knowledge (most aspects I understand and have in depth knowledge of are because I have them myself).

Ellynlvx - my information is ... knock yourself out Anything you want to know about my chart, feel free to ask - I've psychoanalyzed it to death

Here are your Patterns, although you may already know that.

I've gathered them up for you.
