I wonder if someone here could help me with a dream I had the other night. It was quite vivid.

I was sitting on the floor in my living room with my girlfriend when suddenly all the curtains in room began to close. The curtains were a deep wine colored red and were covering a very bright sun. They all began to close at once. I felt an intense tingling in my head as if someone was pulling me up to my feet and pushing me wherever it felt I should go. I was “guided” to the hallway. Looking down the hallway I saw a rope light (you know those light ropes you can buy in the hardware store) floating outside the entrance to the bedroom and leading into the bedroom. I turned to my girlfriend and asked her to come with me because I was a little freaked out. The tingling sensation continued as I walked down the hall. When I got to the bedroom the far wall was no longer a wall but looked like an opening into a beautiful garden, very lush, green and fragrant. Floating in the garden was a large human figure, it looked like a large balloon from the Macys parade, large and black. The face kept changing. My girlfriend said it was my sister, but I had trouble discerning her face because the face of the “balloon” was changing so rapidly. It was also quite loud. There was a lot of ambient noise, voices I couldn’t make out, white noise, etc. Then I woke up a bit freaked out. I’m not sure why because I wasn’t really scared at all.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Greg

Hello Greg.

Welcome to LindaLand!

Here are my thoughts, subject to correction and revision, of course.

It seems that the way you are living (living room) has diminished your connection with awareness or divinity (curtains shutting out sun). You seem to be in a state of transition (hallway), and your subconscious is leading you into the realm of your unconscious (bedroom) to show you something. Here you are confronted with what could be a shadow aspect of self (large, black, human balloon), which simply means a part of you that you may not recognize, or a hidden/secret/repressed/immature part of self. The dream suggests that this aspect is very difficult for you to recognize (face keeps changing), and could relate to family issues, or issues with your actual sister. Whichever the case, the issues have probably been buried within your unconscious for some time. It is also suggested that perhaps others can see this in you, while you cannot (girlfriend tells you it is your sister).

While it is indicated that your unconscious is in a relative state of good health, a state of fertility and creativity (beautiful garden), there is something dark there, distracting you (noise/voices) from fully connecting with yourself, and thus the divine/spiritual.

Do you feel as if you have strayed from your path lately?

Has something (perhaps disturbing or distracting) from your past resurfaced?

Are you feeling any sort of internal conflict?

What is it that you are having trouble seeing or understanding?

Let us know if any of this makes sense to you, if not, we will try again!

A friend of mine read this dream. He had a couple of different thoughts. He said that you are being misled by negative forces/influences, led away from God and into confusion. He said that you should look to God for discernment, and not to things material or of the flesh, because the flesh can be deceiving.

Does this make sense to you?

He also said you are a musician or musical technician. Are you?

Hi Ra,

Thanks so much for your thoughts.

You wrote” While it is indicated that your unconscious is in a relative state of good health, a state of fertility and creativity (beautiful garden), there is something dark there, distracting you (noise/voices) from fully connecting with yourself, and thus the divine/spiritual.”

I do feel my creativity has felt distracted in some way, though I can’t quite put my finger on it.

I’m not sure I understand your friends reading of the dream. Could you elaborate?

I am in fact a musician. How did he figure that out!!

Thanks so much

Greg

I wish I could elaborate on his words! The information he received began with the symbols, and then, as is his nature, began to come from "elsewhere". He is a person like no other I have known, sensitive to energies that most are blind to. I do not like to use the word "psychic" because of the bad press that word gets, but he is that, most honestly, assuredly, and naturally ... and he is a good friend.

He said that you are a musician because of some of the descriptions you used, not from any psychic impulse (although I am not sure about that ).

I am going to try to get my friend to visit our little world soon. He may be turned off from here, however, as he is VERY much an ardent Christian - but he DOES have an open mind, so ... we will see. He is kind of a mix between a rap artist, an evangelist, and an Old Testament prophet, with the feeling of an Initiated Egyptian priest.

Ho Greg and Ra,

fascinating!!! Especially the Christian/mystical symbolism! I really think Ra and his friend have hit it straight on!

Greg, it's interesting that you have this gorgeous inner garden inside, a kind of Eden. But I agree it seems that there is something you have to put into perspective first, or detach from, or 'ground' in yourself before you can have free access to it. Somewhere in your environment or self there is a low vibration that must be raised much higher, so that instead of manifesting as a slightly frightening distorted being, you get the signals clearly.

It might be ego, and there is certainly confusion. Babble/Babel. Funny that it's a Macy's balloon -- very large, very commercial, very much a caricature of the smaller, uninflated people we really are!

Whatever you think the Divine is, Greg, whether it's the integrity of yourself, your music, etc., perhaps this would be a good time to examine any compromises or deals you are making, any important conversations you have been having, and see if they are what you had hoped for yourself, or whether they are the kinds of things that would not hold up to the full light of daytime.

Best,
Lunargirl

Hey lunar and ra,

You two have me thinking about things thats for sure!

Lunar, you are right, I feel I can "see the garden" so to speak, meaning I have something significant to contribute creatively but something is there preventing my access to it. Maybe its a figment of my imagination, maybe its something real, maybe its something from my subconscious, I just dont know.

I'm beginning to see this in relation to my music. I want to take my creative development to the next level, but I'm unsure how. Whenever I have setbacks or dissappointments I try to maintain my focus and just say to myself "keep doing what your doing and trust it. If I keep doing it, it will grow, because its unique and must mainfest itself" I can see the garden, I know its there, and its something else let me tell ya...

I hope I dont sound arrogant. I detest arrogance, I'm just trying to put this all in perspective.

Thanks so much for reading and I truly appreciate your thoughts...

Greg

Maybe you've got a fear of not making sense, of being that balloon figure that doesn't seem to belong in the garden, or just a fear of not being understood.

Discover your own inner monologue!

Have a good one!
