Topic: Phone calls in dreams!

Heya 
I was wondering what it could mean to get phone calls in dreams...
I get around three or four phone calls each week in my dreams - sometimes they get answered by the answering machine, sometimes i miss the phone call, sometimes i get a text message on my mobile (cell) phone... but rarely if ever do i actually ANSWER the call!
A friend of mine suggested that people may be thinking about me, and i'm picking up on their thoughts...Thanx for your help

Hi Nebel! Your friend could be right, as telephone calls can symbolize telepathic communication. But because you do not answer, it could be a message from your subconscious that there is some aspect of self with which you need to connect. Any other details could help determine the meaning. How are you doin anyway??This is going to sound quite boring, but all these phone calls are made by a bloke who i am quite attracted to, but with whome i don't have a relationship. This bloke has been haunting my dreams for the past month since i met him. And really it annoys me becasue i can't 'tell' what they are trying to tell me! For example, a month or so ago i dreamed his horoscope (Scorpio Sun, Cancer Moon, Aries Asc.) before i could have know it consciously. Most night we just hang out - or he bloody rings me! For example, last night i had a dream where this guy rang up and left a message on my answering machine (Although i can't remember what he said!  Two nights before someone rang my mobile phone, and when i looked at it, the word 'close' was all i could see. The same bloke rang and we were talking, and i started to tell him i wasn't interested in seeing him - but then i woke up Another phone call from the same bloke, we talked but i can't remember what we said... Another message on my answering machine, from the SAME guy, asking me to ring him back... Thanks for your thoughts Ra LOL

Now it makes a bit more sense ...In general, these dreams reflect your anxieties about communicating/relating with this bloke. You are not certain if, when, or how you should approach him. When you saw the word 'close', did this mean close as in near, or close as in "close the door"? My guess would be that the time is close for talk.   IP: Logged |

Thanx Ra The word was 'close' as in 'near' i think I had another phone dream the other night... in it this bloke said to me that he was still crook (Sick), but he was still interested in me, and would ring soon... I had another dream with him in it last night... in it we were showing each other our bellies - his was fat - like a beer gut, and mine was flat - although i sucked mine in anyway to make it better looking... hmmm Take care Ra

I once had a frightening dream where I was alone in my parents' kitchen, at night, and the lights were off. Pale light streamed in through the patio door curtains behind me. The phone rings. I pick it up, say hello, and there's somebody there, but no one speaks. Finally, a disembodied voice whispers, "There's a burglar..." and that's all. In the dream I freeze with fear, because I have my back to the doors and don't know what's behind me.I pondered the meaning of this dream for _years_! Until one day I recognized the voice on the phone -- it had been MYSELF!!!! Did I ever laugh! My own fear phoned me up, and I not only answered, I listened and believed and got scared!!! Ah, me. Hiya Ra
I wish more than anything to be able to express myself emotionally to this bloke - however i left the ball in his court so to speak (I gave him my phone number) and he hasn't acted - so i figure he isn't interested... although i'm clueless with blokes so who knows...
The phone call dreams have stopped as well Thanks for your help
